What Are The Subjects You Need To Become An Accountant Or Banker

If I want to become bank manager then which subject I should take after 10th?

It doesn't matter which stream you are gonna choose to become a bank employee. The banking exams questions pattern has been designed in such a way that they would check our hold on maths, reasoning, GK and English. I would recommend you to go for science if you are going take up IBPS exam because as long as you have edge over the concepts of maths, you don't face much difficulty while taking up the exam. Hold on English is also necessary. So, make sure that you improve that while persuing degree. There would also be calls for the other posts from banks which do not require you to pass the exam that they conduct but should hold concerned degree or diploma may be in banking and finance. All the bestThank you..

What do I need to do to become a Investment Banker?

1. Earn your Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Choose a major in a finance-related field, such as business administration, economics, marketing or math.
2. Sharpen oral communication skills with course work in speech or broader communications classes. Become a confident speaker, as investment bankers make frequent presentations to clients to attempt to gain their business.
3. Take classes specializing in business or proposal writing. One of your tasks as an investment banker may be writing proposals to outline how a business deal will progress.
4. Follow trends in the investment banking industry by reading financial newspapers and journals. This is a good way to find current job postings as well. Knowing the environment and especially the history of a company with which you are interviewing is more likely to make a good impressions on the interviewer.
5. Think traditional and conservative when preparing to apply and interview for investment banking jobs. Print your resume, cover letter and thank you letters on unadorned resume paper. Wear appropriate business attire when meeting with a prospective employer.
6. Consider entering the field at an entry or lower level position such as an analyst. It is difficult to break into the industry of investment banking, but gaining some solid work experience at a large, reputable firm may make it easier.
7. Continue your education if you are not satisfied with the results of your job search. While not necessary for every investment banker position, a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is quickly becoming a requirement for some highly sought-after jobs and is highly recommended.

I'm not good at math, but can I still become an accountant?

I'm not a fan of accounting, myself, but I've taken a few credit hours of it because of my minor in finance.

Accounting isn't really math. I've studied calculus, statistics and matrix algebra, and this is not that. Accounting is really more about categorizing and then doing a few calculations from there, which are usually simple multiplication/division and addition/subtraction.

Algebra is necessary, though, introductory classes will include accounting identities, and you need to be able to understand that if assets = liabilities + equity, then equity = assets - liabilities.

I say don't worry about it so much, take an introductory class, it's not as if you have to 100% commit to this without knowing what you're getting into. If you can't handle it, or don't like it, look into something else.

Is being an accountant hard?

no accounting is not difficult but it can be very boring and monotonous for someone who doesn't like crunching numbers all day. others love it. there are plenty of jobs to do solely for "good pay" but trust me after 10 years of doing the same thing you'll get tired of the six figure paycheck and want to do something that you love. so make sure you enjoy it otherwise your frustration will manifest itself in other avenues in your life. people who don't make six figures would probably say that they'd NEVER grow tired of doing the job for the sake of money...but it is true. after you've bought all the "things" you want, went on all the international vacations you could - you will start searching for something that makes you intrinsically happy.

if you are worried about employability with a business management and accounting degree don't worry with that background you can work for any company. every single company out there needs bookkeeping done even the government.
