What Are These Things On The Car

What are these things called?

You obviously have valid answers with 1 & 2. I'm more curious as to wht you use the word "Technical"???

Is this for various manuals explaining function and/or performance???

Just my 2 "sense"

Can I get more money for my car if I do these things?

Apart from ensuring you get a roadworthy certificate (means having that rear window repaired and anything you have overlooked) and getting it thoroughly cleaned (do that yourself) they are the only things really tbat would help to sell it. The other items devalue your vehicle but in terms of return to you just not worth paying to have repaired ... unless you can do the work yourself to a high standard. People expect a few minor impairments, scratches etc.for used vehicles, and weigh these up when considering purchase. A road worthy certificate (Australia) means the buyer can transfer the rego into their name and drive it away immediately. That has more value here. I would never buy a used car without a road worthy certificate. Sure you can but you run a high risk that the tester would find plenty of costly faults that need fixing before they could even drive it.

What are those things called that go on the roof of your car and you can store luggage in them?

Roof racks, luggage racks, storage box, etc.

Check out a company like "Thule." They manufacture all of the above.

What are things that only car guys do?

1. Constantly taking pictures.I am completely guilty of this. Every gear-head out there can't pass up the opportunity to take a sweet picture of their car in the parking lot, when the sun is hitting the shiny chrome, in just the right way.2. Naming their car.Who knows why this even started but it is widespread these days. For whatever reason, we can't just stick to calling the car well... a car. These days, we give them a name because you know what, cars mean much more to certain people. With that being said, I would like everyone to meet Maci the Mustang.3. Parking ridiculously far away.We just can't stand risking people dinging up our doors when they get out of their cars at the shopping mall. So what's the only solution? Park three football fields away, in the very back of the parking lot. It's just worth it.4. Instagraming.A guilty pleasure of our fellow grease monkeys is dedicating their entire Instagram or other social media pages to their vehicle. Every day you get a direct update on just about everything that has to do with their beloved car.5. Washing their car more than themselves.Number one priority for any true enthusiasts is to keep that ride looking cleannnnn. Some make take this too seriously, where the more time they spend washing their car, the less they spend actually cleaning themselves.6. Burnouts. The caption explains itself. Who doesn't love the nice stench of burning rubber filling the air while watching someone leave their mark all over the pavement?7. Hating Priuses. This goes all across the spectrum. It doesn't matter if you like muscle cars, imports, trucks, or off-roaders; we can all agree on one thing. We hate the Toyota Prius for no apparent reason other than they are slow and ridiculously dumb looking.8. We like our cars loud.Another common love among our people is the need for our cars to be loud. Really freaking loud. Bridges and tunnels are our best friends.9. Trash talking. There is no getting around it. Every car guy thinks their ride is the greatest thing out there, no matter what. You could be comparing a 1997 Honda Civic to a 2015 Lamborghini Aventador. That guy who owns the Civic will still try to say that his car weighs less, so therefore, it's faster.10. Racing.Nothing more American than putting your money where your mouth is and settling whose car is faster with a good ole fashioned drag race. We don't spend all this time on our cars for nothing. Once the clutch drops, the bullshit stops.

What do these things on my car payment book mean?

Okay, there are a total of five lines and I know what three of the five lines mean. It's through my state's credit union, a new car loan. Anyway, the first line is loan pmt, which is obviously loan payment. Then, the second line is late chg, which is what I would need to fill in if I were to be late on a payment. Now, here's the ones I don't understand...

SD/SAV DEP and
SD/CHK DEP

Do they mean if I have savings and checking accounts with them I can add money to my accounts when paying my car payment? I do not have those accounts with them, so I'm hoping I can just ignore them.

Then the final line is of course, total and I'm pretty good at adding. :)

So, my loan payment is currently $299.92 a month, but I want to pay more than that each month. I took out a loan for 60 months because I am new graduate in a new nursing career and I wanted to be able to have a minimum payment of $299 if I needed it, but I want to pay more than that amount when I can.

The interest isn't figured in... like, if I were to pay off the car in three years by paying more each year, then I wouldn't have to pay the interest for the 4th and 5th years.

So, a total of three questions here really...
What do those two things I mentioned earlier mean?

Since the interest is already factored into my car payment book for each month, will I get a new book if I pay it off more quickly and no longer need to pay that extra interest? I did read in the paper that I would get quarterly statements.

And... how do I actually pay more each month? Do I just write in the amount I want to pay on the Loan PMT line?

Thanks a bundle! :)

What do you call the things you hang on a car's rear view mirror?

pass to an vehicle save, and purchase some Epoxy...they make some fairly for Rear-View Mirrors! word to reflect, word some tension, and you're able to be styling in approximately 5 minutes, provide or take. basically shop the precise up until it dries each and each of ways!!!

What are the things I need to do to vinyl wrap my car?

For modifying any vehicle your way,1. Decide on the type and quantity of vinyl you require. There are a lot of different options available in the market including some cool vinyl graphics.2. Now that your vinyl is selected, it’s time inspect your surface. Before applying a single piece of vinyl, it’s important to know your canvas. Make a map of the surface and know before applying where you will have to adjust your application procedure for curves or problem areas.3. Remove Blocking Parts that can be a hurdle for applying a clean wrap. Trim, liners, mouldings, handles and anything that will affect your ability to apply the vinyl needs to be removed.4. Every job requires the right tools. You will need: heat gun, squeegee, cutting blade, cutting tape, cleaning solution, measuring tape, gloves and infrared thermometer.5. Clean your work area. Sweep your area and ensure there’s no source of dirt and debris before you clean your vehicle’s surface.6. Your quality vinyl application hinges on a clean surface. Just like a paint job, it’s extremely important to have a clean surface that will hold the material and display it smoothly.7. Take measurements and then cut. When you measure your application area, add 4-6 inches to the measurement. You can always trim as you go but you can’t add material once you’ve cut.8. Now that the surface is ready, it’s time to peel the backing off the vinyl wrap. It’s best to have a friend help. The vinyl can get a little unwieldy and you don’t want it sticking to itself. Ensure your hands are clean and get to peeling.9. Take the squeegee and apply even pressure working in the same pattern when you applied with your hands---from the middle to the outside edges. Once the vehicle panel has been wrapped and tucked, it’s time to apply the heat and set it in place for good. Apply the heat gun evenly across the vinyl which will draw it to the surface of the vehicle. At last clean the whole area with alcohol.

What are the basic things every car owner should know about car maintenance?

Here’s a list of the basic things every car owner must follow:Maintain engine oil levelsAlways keep the oil level up to the ‘maximum’ mark on the dipstick. The more oil there is in your engine, the longer the oil will take to degrade – providing better lubrication for the engine and making it last longer.Protect the cooling systemKeep the liquid in your radiator topped up to a maximum, and the reservoir bottle topped up to half way between its indication markers. The radiator is an air-tight component, so as the coolant heats up and expands the overflow spills into the reservoir, and as the liquid cools back down it contracts and sucks the coolant back into the radiator. It’s a good idea to use coolant rather than straight water in your radiator.Protect the fuel systemKeep the fuel tank full at all times. This reduces evaporation and prevents the formation of condensation, which forms inside the fuel tank and causes surface rust on the interior walls. If this happens fine rust particles will eventually mix in with the fuel pump, prematurely clogging your fuel filters and blocking or damaging the fuel injectors.Protect the batteryIt’s a good idea to neutralise battery acid accumulations periodically, by pouring a solution of food-grade baking soda and luke-warm water over each individual terminal. Ensure you’re wearing proper protective gloves whilst doing so and carefully wipe the battery terminals clean with a rag.Maintain tyre pressureCheck the pressure in your tyres at least once a month when the tyres are cold. Maintaining correct tyre pressure saves fuel, extends tyre life and reduces wear on your steering and suspension components.Protect the bodyworkThoroughly clean your car and then apply a good quality, silicon-based car wax to the entire outside surface at least once every six weeks. Wax forms a thin film layer on the paintwork that protects the paint against the fading effects of the sun. It also protects it against rust formation caused by salt spray in coastal areas.Keep the interior cleanDon’t just vacuum the insides and hang an odour disguiser on your review mirror! Regularly give your interior a good clean with some seat and carpet cleaners. There are plenty of great products on the market that’ll keep your interiors smelling fresh and looking fantastic.Visit http://www.citygarage.com.au/

I am selling my car. Is it worth it to fix these things first?

Short answer: No. People can always find a reason to ask for a discount, and these things (cracked windshield, cracked lens cover, dents and scratches) are to be expected. If you were to fix them, your potential buyers would just find something else to complain about. In fact, your vehicle sounds like it's in very good shape considering that it's 9 years old.My advice to anyone selling their car themselves:Always meet at a public placeDon't go on a test drive without getting a copy of the person's driver's license, and verifying that their license looks like them and that it matches the information on their insurance card (you want to see that too and make a copy)Don't bring the title with you - if you make a deal, you can meet the buyer at the bank. They can bring cash, and you can bring the title at that time.
