What is your favourite video game franchise of all time?
Pokémon without a doubt. Besides growing up with it, I love it because of its ability to be simple and complex at the same time, no matter what specific element of the game you’re talking about. Story line? Yeah, it’s about your character becoming strong enough to stop whatever force is terrorizing your region, but each game’s villain has a deeper story that helps you understand where they’re coming from. Battles? You can train your Pokémon however you want, and you can choose to optimize as much as you want. The Pokémon themselves? There’s over 800 and their designs vary from easy to draw ones like Jigglypuff or Bidoof to actual works of art like Milotic or Dialga. It’s just really diverse and obviously other people have franchises they enjoy more, but I feel like Pokémon’s become a core part of how a lot of people have grown up.
