What Are Your Suggestion To Improve The Existing Base Pay System

Distinguish between job-based and person-based pay structures?

Job based pay leaves no room for employees to want to improve themselves. When you have a person based pay system your employees will work harder because their efforts have a direct correlation with their money. This why commission based jobs find more ambitious people in them. Think about car salesmen - most of them are highly motivated and positive thinking people. I work in a job based pay system and what I see are a lot of tired, disgruntled, negative people. This goes all the way up the chain of command. My boss is miserable because he can not keep trained qualified workers because they go some place that shows appreciation for hard work. Those who stay become negative because they see guys screwing around all day at work (like answering Yahoo! questions all day) get equal pay as those who carry the weight. A job based pay system just isn't fair.

What are suggestions to improve the "Clean India" campaign?

I went through the different opinions shared here. Feels great to see so many people are supporting this cause, with active efforts as well as good suggestions. I will be honest here. I am not a religious person to begin with, but I respect people’s belief . We boast India is the origin of so many religions, secular nation etc and I am like “Hmm, ok, good” . Now I think we can use religion , people’s respect and fear for gods and goddesses to make this country clean. Walls of dilapidated buildings or desolated area, where people seem to religiously litter need to be cleaned up. Just after the cleaning act, to prevent history from repeating itself, make cool graffiti, or use tiles or whatever that wont disappear in rain or sun, with paintings of gods and goddesses This would work like a charm. Trust me. To keep things secular, all these walls should have painting of gods/goddesses/symbol of different religions co-existing. May seem it’s gonna attract additional big cost, but its like a single time investment everywhere. Better than the big possibility of various diseases to thrive owing to all that dirt and filth. Also it would make things much easier for the garbage collectors. After years, or generations, people will get use to cleanliness, finally. A big strata of people are indifferent to the cause, but I’m sure even if some of those people may not be all religious or god-fearing like me, they would not dare piss or spitt or throw garbage where such paintings exist. Even if a few do, others , a far greater number of people ,will protest more actively and vehemently. Might even beat them black and blue. That would fix them up for good. The beautiful religious paintings would not only keep the place clean , but would also add to the beauty of the place, in aesthetics the country would score high with this practice. A different but effective way to play the card called “cleanliness is next to godliness”.Apart from that, we should spread the word about the beautiful village in Meghalaya, Mawlynnong, known as Asia’s cleanest village. Foreigners visit that place too. Yes in a country like India, infamous for the unhygienic ill-practices, there is this lovely village which is hailed for its clean, pure , eco-friendly way of life. But alas! A vast population of India themselves have not heard of this beautiful village and the inspiring villagers. About time people know, appreciate and follow.-I.Mukherjee (Calcutta, India)

What will be your suggestions to improve the quality of rural Government schools in India?

Apart from government funds. There should be a ranking system and an auditing system about the facilities of the school.  And the least ranked school head's need to be given explanation. This is ll ensure that all schools get the basic facilities and also identify schools which needed to be taken care. Mid day meals is one if the best idea . Hope it implemented like it is now in the good way.

In a product based tech company, say Microsoft, whose job is it to suggest new innovative product ideas and new features in existing products?

In companies with an appreciation of employee suggestions, especially with a strong technology base their is a high degree of formalism in their suggestion schemes. Often the system works by employee suggestion, supervision refinement, management championing and directorial budgetary apportionment. However, it is not in the interests of consultants to see employee suggestions receiving such attention when they both expect and demand any comment they might make to be dealt with immediately at the highest level. Furthermore, employee suggestions are often poorly defined and can easily be ridiculed. So although a suggestion system may yield results it demands rigorous control of the resulting office politics that will inevitably arise.

What steps can be taken to improve Indian Politics?

debarring candidate with corruption/serious crime record.publish papers showing the assets value that the person owns and their family. debarring from contesting anymore if there is falsification of documentslimit a person to 2(10 years) terms maxno freebies to people wtf is that shit. I can understand you may not agree and say that it goes to poor people only. But if you give that person a job to do/teach him how to do a job instead. he can be self sufficient for his life. Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetimeremove dynasty rule. This one cant be impleted officialy but people should have some sense. for example in TamilNadu one family to rule all (get it Lord of rings :P) or in general one gandhi family to rule all the 7 kingdoms of westros (ps they are not actually gandhi). Actually I dont blame people of india, I think they got used to 1 day free biryani and some drinks or free fan/mixie/tv/grinder/washbasin/toilet(last two i made it up). I think free condoms for 5 years would be a better deal lolfew more points from a friend Poorvi Singh“Devolution of power and decentralization of governance: This may be done by increasing local self governance by empowering the local institutions i.e. panchayati system and urban local bodies. The system exists but is severely hampered by lack of rights for these bodies to take financial decisions on behalf of the communities/regions that they represent.Further these should be monitored by independant committees composed of citizens and experts to prevent them from turning into mini states/estates of the affluent classes/communities and castes of that region.Women should have a proportionate representation in these bodies. The media should also be more transparent in its financial dealings and just like political parties, electoral candidates and bureaucrats they should go public with their income and assets.”
