Is there anywhere i can improve on my Pokemon party?
My team consists of; (all level 100) Lanturn(Volt Absorb)- Surf, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt Scizor(Swarm)- X-Scissor, Night Slash, Iron Head, Brick Break Ninetales(Drought)- Flamethrower, Psyshock, Dig, Solarbeam Tropius(Solar Power)- Earthquake, Fly, Solarbeam, Energy Ball Dragonite(Inner Focus)- Stone Edge, Fire Punch, Draco Meteor, Hurricane (Shiny) Tentacruel(Liquid Ooze) Sludge Bomb, Surf, Ice Beam, Hex Tentacruel's Presence is the only thing i find totally non- negotiable. She has been with me since Ruby and she is my baby. But otherwise, Suggestions welcome!
Rate my pokemon team. which is better?
TEAM 1 I would've given Tyranitar some attack EVs but its still great. I don't see the use of Babiri Berry I think Rough Skin would have been a better ablility for Garchomp(NOTE: hidden ability), but then, youll have to get another Gible/Gabite/Garchomp. I can see the point of Draco Meteor, but Dragon Claw is better IMO. Excadrill is pretty good. I don't see the use of Air Balloon. Landorus is very good. Defeatist is a bad ability, unfortunately, thats the only ability Archeops can know. Chansey is great. This one is pretty good. TEAM 2 Hmm...this is my least favorite team of yours. TEAM 3 Good nature and item for Politoed. EV spread is good too. I didn't get the part where you kept saying Hydro Pump over and over again. I think HP grass is pretty good, it would probably surprise the water types, but you probably will lose against a Starmie that knows Thunderbolt. Focus Blast is just too innacurate IMO. Tornadus is great :). One of my favorites too. Good EV spread. Starmie is great. Great ability for Dragonite and great moves too. WHAT? Volcarona is a great Pokemon! My favorite Fire type from gen 5. The moves are great. Rotom is great. Team 3 is my favorite.
Rate my 5th gen rain team?
you have certainly come a long way since our first match. your politoed would certainly appreciate scald over hydro pump. also, max hp will help him take hits better, so maybe 252 hp/ 220 sp def. im also curious as to what the 36 sp att evs are there for. also, coverage on your politoed are kind of dumb because he has so little offensive investment. try encore or toxic. with politoed, i think that lanturn is kind of redundant. i understand you want as many electric immunities as possible, lanturn is kind of weak, especially since the build you are running is basically the same. swampert in this gen is kind of lame. stealth rock is nice but everything is stupidly powerful this gen. swampert is likely only to get one turn or two (sheer force nidoking 2kos with earth power, for instance). Finally togekiss is amazing, but not fitting in this team. you may be aware that smogon has banned swift swim +drizzle, but since 5th gen is more widespread than 4th gen, many sites have instituted their own rules. (kabutops, kingdra, etc.) anyways, ill name some pokemon with synergy with rain. Jolteon can be a monster in rain. all he really needs is thunder and hidden power ice/ water. he gives this team a nice electric immunity. Dragonite has multiscale, which is amazing. also, in rain he can run thunder, surf, STAB hurricane, and then your choice of other move (STAB draco meteor, earthquake...). he can also run a really mean "paraphaze" set with multiscale/ thunderwave/ dragon tail/ substitute/ roost. Toxicroak is kind of mean in rain. dry skin has a lot of synergy with substitute, focus punch, and sucker punch. ferrothorn: really loves having his greatest weakness cut. ferrothorn is probably the best pokemon in the metagame. your offensive rainteam, especially starmie, will love the spikes support, and you will love having a basically impossible to pass stopgap vs other rain teams. Scizor; is in the same boat, but its role is different. i shouldnt have to tell you about what scizor does.
