What Can Help Me Loose Some Weight

Will swim team help me lose weight?

Indeed, it would. :) I'm three weeks into my season with double sessions Monday through Friday and one practice on Saturday, with school starting on the eighth of this month, and, even before the tough practices have begun, I've lost around 15 lbs, not even trying! I went from 130 lbs to 117. And mind you, I was already at a good weight for my height and didn't change my diet around. Just remember, if you decide to join the team, it is a HARD sport! I'm a senior, been swimming since seventh grade, and it doesn't get easy until my coach starts tapering us off for sectionals! But it's so rewarding, too. :) My advice is go for it! Just make SURE you eat well. No diets, unless said diet is only cutting down on completely eliminating junk food! You burn sooooo many carbs and calories during swimming, you will quickly learn that you can eat quite a bit of healthy food and not gain weight! (For me, anyhow!)
Best of luck!

What foods can help me to lose weight quickly?

This may not count as a food but…WATER!!!Water is pretty much the only thing you can consume that will have a thermic effect greater than the energy intake (more calories expended to digest it than gained). Also, what do you mean by “quick” weight loss. If you mean lose 10 pounds in month, you’re just barely in the safe levels for weight loss. If you mean anything more than that then it’ll probably hurt you more than benefit you. People who lose weight really quick (e.g. The Biggest Loser competitors) usually gain it back. And while those people are incredibly obese, it will still apply to people trying to lose only 20–50 lbs. The healthy levels of weight loss are going to be about 2 lbs/week.The only healthy way to lose weight (or in particular, fat mass) is by eating a high protein diet while cutting down on carbs (especially sugars) and fats (but keep these above 40g a day AT LEAST). Keep in mind to be in a caloric deficit (around 300–500 kcals below maintenance). Whether you do this on some fad diet or by tracking what you eat, keep these factors in mind. Once you hop on a diet you’ll notice faster weight loss at first due to water weight being lost, but eventually you’ll be more around that 2 lbs/week rate. Here’s a good way to calculate your caloric needs.Calculate Your Caloric Intake! These are some foods that won’t help you lose weight “quickly” but will make you feel more full and crave eating less.Lean meatsPoultryEggsOatsWhole grain/wheat breadsVegetables (especially high fiber)Essentially you want a colorful diet. Now good luck on your weight loss journey!

Can dancing for 20 minutes help me lose weight?

Losing weight is almost totally driven by food choices (what and how much). Exercise (such as walking, running, and workouts) is needed for stamina and strength and for making sure that the weight you lose is fat and not muscle, but purely in terms of weight loss, exercise is neither necessary nor sufficient. It’s not necessary, because even if you don’t exercise, you can lose weight; and it’s not sufficient because, even if you do exercise, you cannot eat anything you want and still lose weight. In contrast, good food choices are both necessary and sufficient for weight loss, so I see food choice as the main driver of weight loss.My current diet advice describes in some detail an approach that is simple, easy, effective, satisfying (you won’t feel hungry), involves no calorie counting, and offers an easy transition from weight loss to weight maintenance, always tricky. I lost quite a bit of weight following that method, and I was quite sedentary at the time. (Since then I have taken up Nordic walking and because it’s so enjoyable I now walk a little over an hour a day, six days a week. But weight loss still depends on food choices. Walking is for fitness, not weight loss.)It will probably take a couple of weeks to get the hang of it, but stick with it for two months and see then what you think.

Will green tea help me lose weight?

I was wondering if green tea can help me lose some weight like a juice diet would. Instead of going on a juice diet, I was considering going on a green tea diet by drinking green tea and water for about a week. I drink the bottled Green Tea with Citrus and I love it but is it a good idea to stop eating solid food for a week and replacing everything with green tea and water?

If not can you give me a better idea on any other kind of liquid diets to help me lose weight fast.

What are some basic yoga postures that can help me lose weight?

YOGA POSTURES WILL NOT REALLY HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHTThe trick to losing weight is to not eat as much.Yoga is generally low impact. You can use some of the poses to try to build up some muscle, but you might be better off just lifting weights. For instance:You could do Chair Pose:And hold it for 5 minutes…Or you could just do squats:like 100 of them. Go!You could do chaturanga dandasana:And hold it for a few minutes…Or you could do push ups:>20 in a set. Go!Resistance training will build up the muscles quicker and easier than yoga will. The boat pose is a great core exercise…BUT! Core exercises don’t make you lose weight, they just give you a strong core. Which is great! But won’t help you lose weight.Yoga isn’t bad for you. It’s nice and relaxing while being challenging. There’s no magic poses that will cause you to lose weight, though.Eating less will help you lose weight.
