What Can I Do To Keep My Hair Up In A Ponytail

How do I put short hair in a ponytail?

It depends on the cut and the length. For the longest time my hair was too short and had too many layers to work in a pony tail. You have a couple of options you can try to see if they work. First try brushing all your hair back towards the back of your head, gathering the hair in your hand. brush the hair on your neck up into your hand as well. Do the same for the sides. Whatever you've got, put it in a hair tie. Pin the rest of the hair that won't reach with bobby pins so that is lays the same direction as the rest of the hair gathered in the pony tail. Now if there's a lot of hair left that won't reach the hair tie, try a half ponytail using just the hair on the top of your head. If that still doesn't work, you can always try something like this:I have this hairstyle currently, and that's about the only thing that works.

Could ponytails cause hair to fall out? I need to keep my hair in a ponytail because of my job and I've noticed my hair is falling out a lot more.

Tight buns and pony hair styles are pulling every single hair around your hairline and that can lead to a receding hair line. You may notice thinning hair around your temples, bangs and sideburns, and small frizzy hairs around your hair line. All that pressure can cause breakage to your ends and your roots.Ladies with long or thick hair may notice thinning hair on the top of their head, or that their hair has gotten thinner. Pulling can actually cause alopecia, another form of hair loss. A common misconception is that women think their hair has stopped growing, when in fact it is just the hair breaking off from the tight rubber band.If its necessary then only wear ponytail.Habits to follow to reduce hair loss by ponytailWear your pony lower on your head. How do you keep your hair in a ponytail all day?

The have no slip stay grip ponytail holders. You can find them at basically any store (I get mine at Wal-Mart) and they are really cheap. The bands have little rubber grips on them to keep even extra fine thin hair in place. I use them and they hold my hair up all day long.

Is it better to sleep with your hair in a ponytail (low or high?) or down?

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

Is it bad for your hair to wear it in a ponytail or bun almost every day?

As long as the ponytail or bun is loose it will not cause hair loss. Hair that is consistently worn in tightly pulled styles can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia. A tight scalp makes a person more prone to hair loss. A tight scalp restricts blood flow to the follicles. Hair follicles receive nourishment through the blood supply. Massaging your scalp on a regular basis will make it more pliable. Using essential oil scalp massage formulas will add even more benefits.

Eat healthy oil rich proteen rich foods such as fish and nuts drink lots of water. Be healthy, and treat your hair with conditioning masks and the occasional trim to prevent breakage

How do you put thick, wavy hair into a ponytail?

Do you use any product or anything in your hair, this is like the 40th time I have suggested this product to sombody but it is very good so.... it is called revitafoam and it comes in a baby blue bottle, put this through your hair then just brush the front bit back into a ponytail very sleek and quite tight back, then leave your ponytail to dry naturally, oh by the way do all this when your hair is quite damp to wet!! = ]

Hope I helped!

Why do I look like a boy with my hair in a ponytail?

i sorta had the same problem... i have almost grown out side bangs so i just put my hair up normally in i high pony tail and keep my bangs out. then i pick a side and twist my hair (almost like hippies do but just on one side) and clip it with what ever then i add a ribbon to the ponytail or something. or... you can put your bangs up in a "poof" like gwen Stefania. if you don't have bangs consider getting them or side bangs or just add a ribbon to the ponytail side pony or someting. hope that helps.

How can you put your hair up in a high ponytail without any bumbs?

hey lol i had the same problem until my instructor taught me how to do this properly, ok to prevent fly aways first brush your hair with a brush that has teeth really close together like a comb or soft bristle brush with coarse bristles. then spray your hair lightly with hair spray and brush through, then flip your head upside down and brush all the hair into your hand from your hairline into the pony tail your holding, brush it all really good all the way around and put a pony tail holder in it while your head is upside down still, then flip back. should solve your problem, spray a little to keep in place, make sure the pony tail holder will stay in place havin it a lil tight wont hurt anything as long as its comfy, and there ya go:) the secret is bristles that are closer together prevent bumps, and having your head upside down prevents any hair from falling out of your hand and having the pony tail to low. hope i helped:)

Is It Bad To Always Have Your Hair In A Ponytail?

It depends on how tightly you are pulling it back. If you are putting excessive tension on your hair follicles, the hair from your hairline will fall out. If you continue to do so, eventually your hair will stop growing back and your hair line will start receding. This is called traction alopecia. Basically, the longer and more often you wear your hair in tight ponytails, the greater the chance is that you will run into problems with hairloss.

The safest way to wear your hair pulled back is if your ponytail is at the nape of your neck, and somewhat loosely gathered. The higher the ponytail, the more weight you have pulling at the front
hairline. If you ever feel tightness on your scalp or hairline when you have your hair up, it is too tight. Pull the hair band away from the base of the pony tail until you can feel the tension subside.

Ponytails do not make your hair grow fast. The only thing that can affect the rate of your hair growth is maintaining optimal health - eat right, get enough sleep, and excersize to increase circulation. Not only will your hair benefit, but your whole body will too.
