What color are my eyes: amber, brown, or hazel?!?
We're doing a school report on eye color, and we're talking about what creates eye color, etc. I have to say what my eye color is, and when I just said brown in my rough draft, my teacher said they're not brown, but amber. She said to compare my friend with brown eyes and hazel for everyone so you can see the difference. Technically, what color are my eyes - brown, green, hazel, or amber?
i've been reading up on eye color genetics to see what the color of my baby's eyes might be, just for fun. But i'm not sure which color mine are. They look brown from far away but up close they're brown, green, and gold. When i'm angry or sad they're dark green. Actually, there's a modern misconception about hazel eyes. True hazel eyes are golden brown and/or reddish brown in color. They are never greenish brown. This has been known for centuries but during the last hundred years or so, people started misusing the term "hazel". True hazel eyes DO appear to shift in color from deep brown to light gold or orange color, depending upon the lighting. This is from intense gold or red specks and and/or gold or red rings around the pupil... and gray around the pupil.. Hazel eyes : Light Brown/Amber Eyes ; Eyes that shift in color ; or eyes with Mixture, but the true definition of hazel eyes is Light Brown.. I have hazel eyes

Do I have hazel or amber eyes? They look green under sunlight, hazel under artificial light, and hazel/amber under no light.
I’ll let you be the judge: Top is light brown, followed by green, amber & then hazel.Above: This is considered a light brown eye color.Below: The strong green ring on the outside of the iris declares this as a green eye.Below is an amber colored iris in bright sunlight the color looks orange. Their is a thin green outer band.Below is a hazel eye. Strong inner gold ring & no strong outer ring.F

people say that rare eyes are prettiest and only 2% of the world has green eyes. Amber eyes are more rare then green eyes.It is said at true amber eyes are very rare in humans, and look exotically wolf-like. I a have amber eyes and i got alot of complements about my eyes. I was wondering which eyes are more prettier.

Amber eyes are golden.Hazel eyes are a mixture of various color combinations like green and brown, green and gray etc. Hazel eyes are not a solid color but a gradient.As for light brown eyes, they are smack, solid, light brown.I’ll attach photos below:These are hazel eyes and a band of green and brown blended together is clearly visible.They tend to change shade according to the mood, clothing or lighting conditions.These are amber eyes and you can see a solid gold color.These are light brown eyes and though they too are a solid color, you can clearly see the color difference in these and amber eyes.Also, hazel eyes tend to have a grey ring around them(personal observation).Needless to say though, eyes of each color are beautiful and one should cherish and feel proud about them.Hope it cleared your confusion.thanks.
