What Could Be A Suitable Answer

What should be the suitable answer if an interviewer asks, why MBA?

"Why MBA" is one of the trickiest, most-often asked questions in interviews.A good answer should ensure that it addresses the candidate's current work profile, their future aspirations, and how exactly getting an MBA would help them bridge the gap between the two.For example, a friend of mine recently appeared for his interviews at multiple B-schools. He has been working at a global Investment Bank for 3 years in their back-office. His career aim is to move to the front office in a more client-facing role. And almost every I-Bank has an implicit requirement of a post-graduate degree in Finance for the same. And this was what he told the panelists thus addressing the trifecta mentioned above. Also, try and see if there is some way you could also loop in the college/institute you are interviewing for. For example, the university could have a reputation for being an excellent Finance institute. You can also talk about other aspects of an MBA education that can't be replicated by simply reading online, or taking up a course/certification, or from learning on the job. These would include the teaching methodology of the institute, its faculty, the alumni network, premium study material etc. You should also expect the counter-question (especially if you blurt out 'entrepreneurship' or any of its variants during the interview):"You don't need an MBA to be a great businessman. I mean only 29 of the top 100 CEOs in the world have an MBA?"To which your reply should be something on the lines of:"While that might be true, times have changed. If you look at the current generation of successful entrepreneurs, most have a management degree. Amid the current start-up boom, you need to have a strong educational background (along with an innovative idea or product) to attract the attention of investors, clients, customers, and potential shareholders alike."A little cheat-sheet in terms of some basic DOs and DONTs.For:Better clarity of thought and understanding of businessGetting the requisite exposure, networking, knowledge of people, systems and process for starting up something of your ownDeveloping a holistic perspectiveAdding credibility to your resumeNever for:Higher salaryOld job sucksOld boss sucksSense of adventureOut of boredomFinal option in decision by elimination

What would be a suitable control?

I would say have a sample of substrate without enzyme because then you can see if there would be any changes that occur without an enzyme

Yeah maybe have a control at each concentration because then you can check for differences between concentrations that happen without an enzyme. You may get slight changes naturally depending on what the reaction is (eg if the enzyme breaks down your substrate they may degrade naturally) but if the enzyme is doing what it should be doing the changes should be a lot smaller than samples with the enzyme.

If there are similar changes between solutions with and without the enzyme, this would show that the enzyme wasn't having much effect and so the different concentrations were affecting something other than enzyme activity.

The point of a control is to say yes this happened because of what I did, it wouldn't have happened anyway

What would be a suitable gecko for a begginer?

I'm not surprised that every one said a leopard gecko! They are perfect for beginners. They live much longer than 5 years though. Most said Crested gecko too. They live much longer than 5 years also. I own a Leo and a Crested Gecko so I'm definitely not knocking anybody. They are both awesome geckos and I would reccomend them to any beginner or experienced reptile owner.

If you want a gecko that will only live up to 5 years. I would suggest a Dune Gecko. They are super easy to take care of and they are tiny. Cute little guys! They think they are much bigger than they really are. They are tough little geckos. They aren't afraid of anything.

Another suggestion for a small gecko that doesn't live long in captivity... Satanic Leaf Tail gecko. Don't let the name fool you. They are awesome looking. Very small. Very unique. But they are a little more difficult to take care of.

A couple more little geckos that don't live that long in captivity...

House Gecko
Knob Tail Gecko
Day Gecko (The Geico commercial talking gecko)

What would make a suitable arrow backstop?

Because now I live in a house with a rather large yard and a hill that works just dandy, but soon I'm gonna move into a smaller house with a much smaller yard that is surrounded by nothing but wooden fences (which make disastirous backsops!) Any ideas as to what I could use for an arrow stop? Large boxes of dirt seem to be adaquate for certian bullets, but strangely will not stop an arrow until it has penetrated completely through(which is what I am trying to prevent!), so please don't suggest those! Any ideas would be appreciated!

What would be a suitable conclusion for Disaster management ?

Obviously the educational system has utterly failed.

How about.... "prepare for disasters."

Or summarize what you learned and presented in a single paragraph or sentence.

What are the best answers for "Why should I hire you"?

Following happened last week during my interview for internship at Microsoft.A little background - It was the third round of interview, which was the HR round. I had performed well in previous two technical interview rounds. But being a non computer science student with no experience with any projects or internships in programming, I had faced my difficulties in answering questions that demanded previous projects/experience.Interviewer - So, Sumit, this is the final question for you. Why should we hire you? Why Microsoft?Me - *thinks for a moment* Sir, shall I give you the answer that I prepared or shall I give you an honest answer?Interviewer - I can listen to them both.Me - I will start with the one I prepared. Sir, you should hire me because even though I do not have any prior experience, I do have the ability to learn and perform. And whatever would be expected of me at Microsoft, I would certainly deliver it with my best abilities and hard work.Interviewer - Impressive. And what’s the honest answer?Me - Sir, 19 years ago, Microsoft created a game named Age of Empires. I am sure you have heard the name. And it’s more than just a video game. It actually requires you to think analytically and come up with the best combinations and timings of your army units to win. Sir when I was really depressed last year, I used to play this game day and night. I used to look up to this game as a challenge. I did all the research, I knew all the civilizations and the best algorithms for all the maps. Sir, not only this game saved me from doing something stupid, it also kept my analytical thinking alive. Had I taken some other bad habit to vent out my depression, I would have thoroughly screwed my life. Sir, I want to create something so simple and yet so amazing like that game. And that’s why Microsoft should hire me.He had a wide grin on his face by the time I ended my short speech.Interviewer - Sumit you are certainly creative. Any questions for us?Me - Am I selected? He gave me the most wonderful smile and said “It’s a yes from my side, we will just have to look at your technical rounds performance.”And later that evening, my friend Ayush Tabhane woke me up from a deep sleep after a long day as he shouted “Microsoft results are out. You’re selected!!!”

What Would Be a Suitable Substitute for the Heat Gun?

My PS3 recently got YLoD, and I want to try to repair my PS3 by itself, and one of the materials I need is a heat gun. Since I don't own one, I want to try to find a household item that could substitute for it. Any ideas?
