What Do I Do To Make It Recognize

What does you better recognize mean?

recognize is to understand/see or pick up on something.

you better recognize how hard i have worked....etc

does that answer you question

How do I get my employees to recognize me as a boss?

I am on a team of 3 supervisors (Overseeing morning, afternoon and night shifts) that supervises 9 employees.

I am the least senior of my supervisors, and I have worked as a coworker to all of my current employees. None of them like to listen to what I say, and since I'm new at this I don't know how to react to this in the heat of the moment, and I have to consult the other supervisors whenever they next come in.

It is extremely difficult to maintain consistency in our production, and I along with the other supervisors for the most part have a consensus on expectations, but sometimes those views differ and when one of our employees points something out that the supervisor agrees with, it gets changed. This, along with the fact that there are only a couple hours a day that more than one supervisor is here, makes it easy for regular employees to undermine me and go above my head. How do I establish a role as a boss and get my employees to recognize and respect my position?

How or what do you do to make yourself visible or recognize your top management or boss?

Here are some tips on getting recognized.Listen Carefully - listen carefully to what your manager says is important. Be fully focused and present in the moment whenever your manager talks to you.Speak Up - make sure you participate fully in meetings and share your ideas rather than sitting quietly. If you are not comfortable speaking publicly, consider joining Toastmasters.Find The Measurements and Exceed Them: find out what you are being rated and judged on in sales, productivity, etc. and make sure you exceed in all these areas.

What do I do to make GMail recognize the dates from my e-mails so I could just hit the shortcut to add an event to my calendar? So far it automatically adds to my calendar only flights.

Google only auto-adds events from confirmation emails about the following:FlightsHotelsRestaurantsTickets (ie concert ticket order confirmation)For other emails that are sent directly to you with dates or times, you should see the text underlined - when you click it, you will/should get the option to add it to your calendar. The exception to that is when events aren’t sent directly to you, like emails that are forwarded to you from someone else or where you’re CC’d on the message, not the main recipient.Hope this helps!

My phone doesn't recognize my earphones, but my earphones are working on another phone and other earphones are working on my phone. What do I do?

You may also try looking down in the jack using a flashlight, there are two little tiny brass pins, you can very carefully pry them out a bit with a sewing needle, but that could only work if it had been a link problem and not a system item. You might also try checking your audio settings and ensure everything is set up how you want it to.There's always the chance of hardware problems, but hopefully it is not. 1 thing to try first is to attempt and blow out any lint or dirt from the jack which might be causing problems and becoming jammed in additional if you plug in the earphones in again. Also try rotating the plug and manipulating the cable close to the plug to find out if you may have an irregular cable connection which may be solved by a new earphone. You can also confirm it by plugging in another pair of regular headphones which are know to be operating properly. You do not specify the telephone, but you might also examine the INTERNET site fixity, The Free Repair Manual to find the problem of replacing the jack in your specific phone (and the cost of the components required, with photographs of all of the steps). If it looks like your jack or linking cable has neglected (not unusual in many mobiles) there may also be local repair people who can fix it inexpensively.

What do I do when my laptop doesn't recognize the ac adaptor?

Any service shop should be able to identify the source of the problem in under 1/2 hour (labor). If they want more than that to identify the problem, go somewhere else.

Your problem could be any of the following:
AC adapter
DC powertap on laptop <<<<---- most likely!!!
Battery
Charging circuitry on motherboard

In a nutshell... check your AC adapter with a multimeter - if ok, then remove battery and see if laptop will work reliably w/ AC adapter (wiggle slightly to see if power dies or comes on). If power does not come on or power dies while wiggling power plug (slightly), then you probably have a bad DC powertap. If power stays on consistently during this test, you have narrowed it down to either a bad battery or failing DC-DC charging circuitry on the motherboard.

DC powertaps are easy to fix ($10-20 parts + 2-2.5 hours labor. (I fix them flat rate for $125).

Batterys and AC adapters can be mildly expensive ($75-120US)

Feel free to email me back if you have any more questions.

Best of success.

What do I do when my efforts at school aren't recognize by my teachers?

A2ASome very good answers have already been given. Effort has its own rewards over time, but schools do not grade effort. Grades are based on the quality of the work you produce, and the definition of quality is often determined by the teacher. You must put in your effort to produce the products they are asking for in the format and at the quality level they expect. For example, I do not play violin. I could try really hard for an evening or a week. But, if I was in a class for performance level players, I would have a problem. No matter how much effort I put into my playing, the teacher would probably not find my performance to be worthy of an “A.” In other areas I consider myself an expert. However; if I put all my effort into writing a paper to show how my view is correct and the one the teacher taught is wrong, my paper would not fit the criteria many would use for quality.Talk to your teachers, but not about why they are being unfair. From the little we know from your question, they probably are not being unfair. It just feels that way. Talk to them about how to make your effort pay off in producing the work they expect for better marks. Then, you can aim your efforts at gaining better rewards. If any of your teachers use rubrics, especially for written products, you might ask if you could have a copy of the rubric as you do the assignment. My graduate students always had the rubrics before they started their assignments. If you have the rubric, you can make sure your work has everything the teacher is looking for when they assess work and assign points. If you have friends whose work earns high marks from the same teachers, consider whether you might be able to compare your work to theirs objectively. It will not do any good to compare the two defensively, and argue why you worked just as hard. You need to look for how their paper matches what the teacher wants better than yours. Reading examples of what the grader considers high quality can help. Sometimes it is worthwhile to get a tutor. They can help guide your effort into producing work that will earn higher marks.

How can I get my art recognized and stop being a starving artist?

Start by making awesome art instead of assuming it's awesome and whining that no one likes it. What if it's crap? You have to be humble and be open to criticism otherwise you'll never know, will never improve it, and will definitely starve. Believe me, everyone starts by making crap, and that's ok, it's not a value judgement on you as a person forever. Ok so if you got into an amazing art school with brilliant faculty, spend 3-5 years there learning your craft, pulling the occasional all nighter, being a good citizen, really put in the work, explore on your own outside of their boundaries as well and THEN are starting to get good emotional responses from faculty—you are probably near ready to launch. Your next phase is to build your professional network. Go to events. Talk to people. Listen and learn. What drives them? What are they talking about that you don't understand? Learn those things. Who are the influencers? What does their success look like to them? How do you help them succeed? Bargain with the best of them to help create tools that introduce your work to their market. What are the things you feel about your own identity that block you from moving forward? Are you afraid or hateful of business? Resentful of those who have achieved success to any extent? Those are dangerous attitudes which need to be changed. Work hard, don't be resentful. Believe me critical art career actions are: business, marketing, book keeping, doing taxes, building mailing lists, writing orderly and logical estimates, proposals, billing on time, knowing what to do if people pay late....these are some of the things that can help stop you from being a starving artist—in addition to having work that is valuable to others.Everything you do is valuable for your own growth and development, but that doesn't mean that all of those artifacts are valuable for someone else yet. It's practice. Even as your work does become valuable to others, in a way it's still practice, though you're seriously applying yourself and getting paid reasonably according to the value you're delivering. So those comments really would be a preamble to marketing generalizations. Growth Hacking is another new term for the same thing. But the fundamental first step is having a product that resonates with people that can be useful to them socially, practically, or emotionally. Good luck.

How do I make iTunes recognize a podcast downloaded from a source other than the iTunes store?

Sarah's advice works if you manually downloaded a file that you want iTunes to see as a podcast episode. But if you just want to ensure you have the latest episodes from a podcast you're already subscribed to, then read on.iTunes does not host podcast feeds or media. So if you used iTunes to subscribe to a podcast, then you're directly subscribed to the podcast's own RSS feed, not to anything from iTunes. So you depend on the podcaster to release their episodes, not for iTunes to update. However, iTunes will only check for new episodes every now and then. Go to your Podcasts section in iTunes and click the Refresh button to check all your subscriptions for new episodes. If you want iTunes to automatically check and download new episodes more often, click the Settings button, Settings for "Podcast Defaults," Check for new episodes: "Every hour," adjust the last two settings as you wish (I like "Download all" and keep "All unplayed episodes").As long as iTunes is running and has access to the Internet, then it will check for and download any new episodes every hour, even if the Podcast's listing in the iTunes podcast directory doesn't show the new episodes. If you still aren't getting the latest episodes, contact the podcaster because they may have a problem with their RSS feed.
