What Do You Think Of The Name Ajax For A Boy

How did ajax get its name?

Ajax was Achilles' cousin in Greek mythology. He was one of the heroes of the Iliad, having never been hurt in battle. Colgate-Palmolive liked the image, and used that name for their cleanser. Hope this helps.

What is a good middle name for Ajax?

I love the name, by the way. It's Greek, right? From Homer's Iliad. Love it.

Since it's unusual, I'd recommend a more streamlined name for his middle name. Like...

Ajax Jacob
Ajax Matthew
Ajax Joseph
Ajax Thomas
Ajax Ignatius

What do you think of the boy's name "Ajax"?

I like it. Ajax was a Greek hero, like Achilles.

Trouble is, it would be a good name in Greece, but in the US, kids would tease him and call him Comet, or Sani-Flush, or something.

How do you pronounce the name Ajax?

The actual Greek version of the name is Aias (Eye-yas). You could pronounce Ajax that way, or possibly as EYE-yaks

Is "Demi" a good boy's name?

My fiance likes this name as he is really into Greek mythology and originally wanted to name our future son "Ajax," but I couldn't get on-board with that since he'd get endlessly picked on and told he is a cleaning agent. Ajax is a demigod, so my fiance figured "Demi" would be a good name instead, plus we saw a male character in a movie with this name. I haven't seen it otherwise used as a male name so I thought I'd find out what people think.

Twins baby names(boy/girl)?

wow, the Greek Gods are smiling
all of these seem way to dramatic to name a person for the rest of their life, it will be like putting a 'kick me' sign on their back
mispronouncing, misspellings, explanations... sorry, can't help you with those

Thoughts on the boy name Adrien/Adrian?

I LOVE this name!!!! I prefer the spelling of Adrian as I do with most "Ian" ending names.

Adrian in my book is: Sweet, classic, boyish, rugged, handsome, sexy, ageless etc etc etc. Its absolutely wonderful. I wouldn't mind naming a son this but it would have to be his middle name (my sister gave her child a similar sounding name. Ugh!)

Adrian gets my full respect
