A good name for an alien faction in a Sci-Fi novel?
I'm writing a Sci-Fi novel, and I can't think of any names for an alien organization ( evil ) Like, three words which I could use the letters and such, My human one is the Earth Defence Core (EDC) Something like that but for some bad aliens, Thank you muchly.

Surnames were originally based on a person’s occupation or place of residence, so my second list is based on flowers and crystals. That way you could use the topography of your planet to name your characters. :) Sci-fi names are like the hardest to come up with! I hope you create something awesome! I am trying to remember the name of a sci-fi short story. Can you help?
I have literally read hundreds, if not a few thousand, short stories at this point of my life. Some are science fiction, some are fantasy and perhaps a disproportionate amount are horror.And I don’t say that to be braggadocious more so than to illustrate that there are literally millions of short stories representing various genres of fiction.So, if you’re not gong to give us a little more to work with (who was the writer, what was the story about, when was it written, was it ‘hard’ sci-fi?) there is little anyone can do to help you because it’s hard enough answering your question knowing a few of the attributes I’ve listed, never mind knowing nothing but the genre.
Names for a Sci-Fi Apocalyptic fiction characters?
I think finding an appropriate surname for this particular antagonist will be a bit more important than his forename. World leaders and the like are generally known by their surnames, they're like a slogan. Maybe something that seems a bit more altruistic would work. Maybe the man whom seemed to be a good leader gave in to the "dark side" of politics and the power his office held, or maybe he was misleading them all along. Anywho...
