Doctrine of rule of law (common law) is different from procedure established by law (american law) in that the principles of natural justice necessarily apply to the former while they can be extended by legislative action to the latter.Indian constitution mentions procedure established by law. What does the first year of law school curriculum consist of?

Here is a lists of first year courses at my law school:

1st semester: Research and writing I, contracts I, civil procedure I, torts, and criminal law (total of 15 credits, you have no choice they just put you in these classes same as the next semester)

2nd semester: Research and writing II, contracts II, civil procedure II, property, constitutional law I (total of 14 credits)

You would be wasting your time trying to learn this right now. The best thing you can do now is focus on getting your college GPA as high as possible and start preparing for the LSAT as college GPA and LSAT score are the primary tools law schools use to determine admissions.

Best of luck.

How does the US Constitution affect laws made in the America?

Article 1, Section 1 of the United States Constitution states,

‘All Legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives’

Essentially all this means is the United States Congress has all the power to create all federal laws (laws which affect the whole country). However Congress cannot pass laws on their own the President of United States also has a part to play in passing legislation.

The United States Congress has two houses The Senate and the House of Representatives, because the Congress is made up of two houses it is known as a bicameral legislature (a legislative branch with two bodies). In order for a bill to become a law in America it must pass in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, the idea being proper scrutiny and sufficient time and debate is spent before a bill becomes law.

So what role does the President play in the making of laws? Quite a big one actually, once a bill has been passed in both houses of Congress, the bill finds its way to the President’s desk where he can either sign it into law or veto it, time is of the essence as the president has ten days to make his decision if the President makes no response after ten days the bill automatically becomes law. In the event that the President veto’s the bill it can still become a law, the bill returns to Congress again it must pass through a vote in both houses however this time it must be a two-thirds majority vote (As set out in Article 1 Section 7).

The UK or United Kingdom consists of what countries?

Sovereign state which consists of four countries. If you read the act of the union (which may be hard for you to see in the USA) it clearly states at no time did Scotland merge with anybody to become one single entity. theirs a whole paragraph dedicated to Scotland retaining its own laws, history, home nation status etc. It does state the two countries will work together in union sharing a trade, currency, defence etc. Think that clearly states the issue. How some users on here try and say there is a single government for the UK is just ridiculous, what the hell is that building in Edinburgh where elected people turn up to vote on scottish only matters? I thought it was called the Scottish Government? ................. Scotland has a different health service, education, laws etc I mean at one point in the UK you can be arrested for something depending what side of the street you are on (round about those non existent borders people go on about, pretty existent when it comes to the law, tuition fees etc) does that sound like a single country to you? Just got to laugh at some peoples ideas on here, really

How do I calculate UK degree classification?

I realise you’re anxious, but this is a very unproductive way of coping. If you are good enough at your subject to calibrate your work so that you can get 64%, or boost it to 71% if you need to, then you’re good enough to do better than that, and why wouldn’t you?In your final year of degree study you should be working as hard and as intelligently as you productively can. You don’t work all the time, but you make academic work absolutely your chief priority. If you go in for sport, you no longer take part seriously (unless you are going to be a successful professional), but you do turn out for the Old Lags or Gentlepersons team that regards training as consisting of the run from the changing room to the arena of conflict. If you do theatre, you no longer go for a leading role, but you do Third Attendant or something, and slay the audience with your charisma for the whole 95 seconds you’re on stage.Oh, and you talk with your teachers: but do not say “What do I have to do to get such-and-such a grade?”; ask about some aspect of the subject that you’re having difficulty with, and ask, as though it were an afterthought, how important this part of the subject is, in the overall scheme of things.
