In Beer-making, What does "malt dried from coke" MEAN.?

Well I learned something today ) .. Looks like the first answer is right..."Coke is a fuel with few impurities and a high carbon content"....."Highland Park distillery in Orkney roasted malt barley for use in their Scotch whiskey in kilns burning a mixture of coke and peat."

and here's some Coke trivia..

"Discovered by accident to have superior heat shielding properties when combined with other materials, coke was one of the materials used in the heat shielding on NASA's Apollo program space vehicles. In its final form, this material was called AVCOAT 5026-39. This material has been used most recently as the heat shielding on the Mars Pathfinder vehicle. Although not used for modern day space shuttles, NASA had been planning to utilize coke and other materials for the heat shield for its next generation space craft, named Orion, before that project's cancellation."

On a can of Coke, what does it mean by Vegetable Extract drink?

it means that the very taste of the coke's drink is extracted from a plant - the tropical tree of cola. this is actually an alkaloid - meaning poison - which ingested by humans would lead to very nasty reactions, including anaphilaxy - a rection of the human body trying to reject a foreign body - and sometimes death. but the substance is "worked" by the company of soft drinks, so the bad stuff is eliminated. this is the nice version of teh vegetable extract drink. in practice, the taste is no longer extracted from a plant, but created by chemical labs, which can copy the natural taste and produce synthetic aromas ... or so i think

Does the Coca in Coca-Cola mean cocaine?

When launched, Coca-Cola's two key ingredients were cocaine and caffeine. The cocaine was derived from the coca leaf and the caffeine from kola nut (also spelled "cola nut" at the time), leading to the name Coca-Cola.Although Coca Cola denies usage of cocaine, the founder (Pemberton) called for five ounces of coca leaf per gallon of syrup (approximately 37 g/L), a significant dose. Coca-Cola once contained an estimated nine milligrams of cocaine per glass. (For comparison, a typical dose or "line" of cocaine is 50–75 mg.In 1903, it was removed. After 1904, instead of using fresh leaves, Coca-Cola started using "spent" leaves – the leftovers of the cocaine-extraction process with trace levels of cocaine.Today, Coca-Cola uses a cocaine-free coca leaf extract prepared at a Stephan Company plant in Maywood, New Jersey. The Stepan Company is the only manufacturing plant authorized by the US Federal Government to import and process the coca plant, which it obtains mainly from Peru and, to a lesser extent, Bolivia.

What does it mean when my nose starts bleeding all the time when I snort cocaine?

It means you should stop doing cocaine. You're destroying your septum and trashing your nostrils.  And apart from potentially having a nose like Michael Jackson's ("Michael's nose got so bad he had to wear a prosthetic to hide his normal nose, which was melting away.") you are causing permanent damage to your heart. It will absolutely kill you. This is like asking "why does my head hurt whenever I bang it against the wall?" Stop doing blow. Your brain is going to melt and drip out of the hole that was a nose in the center of your face and then where will you be? Not on Quora, I'll bet. Listen to the sage advice; if you're getting nosebleeds, seek medical attention. And stop with the drugs already, fool.*PS  If this question was meant to be about getting nosebleeds when you blow your nose as opposed to "when I do blow" as it's originally phrased, apologies for the drug lecture.    But, yes, there is a relationship between cocaine and nosebleeds.  There is also a relationship between Afrin (nasal spray) and nosebleeds; Afrin and other similar nosesprays can damage your nasal passages with excessive use. It's not unusual to become addicted to nasal sprays, as well, requiring surgery.  Please be thoughtful about what you put in your nose and how you use it.
