What kind of fighter jets fly over Virginia Beach?
Wow...lets see if I can clear up the mess of answers. VA Beach...closest base is Oceana Naval Air Station. --They fly the F/A-18 E/F Superhornet there. Next would be Langley Air Force Base in Hampton. --They fly the F-22A Raptor and F-15C/D Eagle there. --They have several VT ANG F-16's there sitting alert. At the beach you most likely saw and heard the Navy jets as our aircraft at Langley are required to climb quick for noise abatement requirements.
Ranger then Green Beret then Navy Seal then Navy fighter pilot?
I'm currently in my late teen's with about 1.5 years of college and about 25 credits. I want to be a Ranger first and complete 4years Most Green Beret are formers Rangers so I'll do 4 years there I then want to attempt to be Navy seal do 4 years there Finish college in 3 years Fly jets for the Navy for 6 years Don't give me B.S. about the elite training and everything! I currently run a 5 min mile and jog 6 miles every morning. I also am a good swimmer and can do pull ups etc...... My question is I'll be in my thirities when I want to fly Navy jets can I do that with an age waiver. I'M SURE THE NAVY WANTS PEOPLE TO FLY WITH SPECIAL FORCES TRAINING AND A BA right???
What is the process to becoming a Navy fighter Pilot?
I am just entering my junior year in high school and I know I want to fly tactical aircraft in the Navy. I am just a little unsure about the process on how to become one. If you do know, please explain the step-by-step process to earning a seat in a fighter jet. Also, please explain the training and anything else you think I may need to know, if you can. Thanks you.
