What Happened To My Voice Help Me

Help! My voice won t let me sing.?

I don t know what s happening i can usually sing to my full potential but late my voice sounds weird. Not airy but not raspy it sounds kind of thick. When im singing in head voice i can usually hit all the notes, i know i can! But after a certain note my voice goes out of control and wont let me go any higher. It"s like i try to sing head voice and high notes (which i know i can do) but my voice kind of skips the note i want to sing and goes a higher note. And if you listen very hard if sound liks if im singing the highed part and lower part of the note. Im really worried i don t know what s going on with my voice. I can usually sing good and all the notes too high and low.
Btw: im a girl and 16 been singing since i was little.
Please i need an answer im scared why is my voice doing that..

Can anyone help me with my singing voice?

You sound like you have the same problem I used to have and my little sister has right now. And what solved it for me was doing some vocal training with this CD set called Singing Success. It's amazing, it totally evened out my voice and added about an octave of range and completely got rid of the nasals. It's kind of on the expensive side, but if you compare that to getting voice lessons, you end up saving money over time. Just look into it. If you're willing to put the effort in, it will make a huge difference in your voice:

When will my voice break and what can help me quicken up the process?

Your voice will lower in pitch sometime during puberty, when your larynx enlarges and your vocal folds lengthen. It will happen according to your inborn schedule for growth, nothing can speed it up.
If you're lucky, your voice won't actually "break". It may happen gradually enough or over a small enough range that you won't have any embarrassing cracks; your range will just naturally drift lower. Boys with really high voices (sopranos) usually change to a lower range (baritone or bass) as adults. Boys with lower voices (altos) get less low (tenor) as adults, and they usually have less of a problem with cracking voices.

Please help my voice get better before my concert?

Do you have allergies? I only ask because my allergies make my throat itchy...I've never had it itch because I'm sick. If you do, just take some Benadryl (or whatever OTC allergy meds...just make sure it's non-drowsy! and you should be fine). If it's because of sickness or strain from singing incorrectly/over singing, there's not much you can do. Drink water (not too much! that can do damage too! just if you would normally drink soda with your lunch or juice in the morning, drink water instead...that sort of thing) and avoid anything with caffeine (soda, coffee, tea, etc!). Go on vocal rest until your performance. No talking, no singing, etc., until you are warming up for your show on the night of the performance. Other than that, there's not much you can do but hope for the best.
