What Is A Benjamin Franklin .22 Model 132 Worth

I have a Benjamin Franklin Model 347, .22 Cal, T407227 that I need parts for. Can anyone help?

I also have a Crosman, Model 397 PA, .177 Cal 14443. For which I need repair/rebuild parts/kits for. Both Air Rifles are old and have lost the majority of their "punch". Want to rebuild the cylinder and plunger parts.

.22 benjamin franklin pellet gun?

There is no such airgun as a "Benjamin Franklin"

As you will notice, the "Benjamin Franklin" which is stamped on the left side of the receiver is in quotes and was meant as a play(joke) on the company name. The company name is on the end cap(The Benjamin Air Rifle Company)

If it's a rifle, then more than likely what you have is a Benjamin 342*. These rifles were made from 1969 until 1992 and are worth.
60% = $70
100% = $145
You can add about 50% to the total value if you have the original box and papers a Williams peep sight and certain stocks bring a premium, etc >From the Blue Book of Airgun Values

*If you have an older model it would be the Benjamin model 312

I add info on the 342 because it's far and away the most common "older" Benjamin airgun that I see.

Benjamin also stamped "Benjamin Franklin" on some of their air pistols....If you add details(model number) then more accurate information can be provided..

Benjamin franklin .22 cal pellet gun model 132 worth ?

its not a Benjamin Franklin, i think you mean Benjamin & Sheridan, that's worth $20 in good condition if it says Benjamin only and not Benjamin & Sheridan and has the wood handles instead of the plastic ones i would not sell it for less than $100. before Benjamin bought out Sheridan they were awesome guns and after crossman bought them both out they went to sh*t
Some history:
Sheridan Products
# The Benjamin Air Rifle Company bought out one of its competitors, Sheridan Products of Racine, Wisconsin, in 1977. In 1986, Benjamin moved all its production from St. Louis to the Racine facility.
Crosman Corporation
# In 1992, Crosman Corporation, which manufactures air guns, air gun accessories, and paintball guns and accessories, bought Benjamin Sheridan in its entirety. Crosman closed the operation in Racine in 1994 and moved production of Benjamin Sheridan products to its home location in East Bloomfield, N.Y. Crosman now sells air rifles and pistols under the Benjamin and Sheridan names as well as its own.
if it only says Benjamin it was made before 1986 and was made before regulations to limit the power of pneumatic pistols

How do you spot a replica of the old Benjamin Franklin model 342 .22 air rifle?

Early 342’s resembled this 312, but had a stepped rear sight and an ambidextrous safety. Later 342’s had a slab sided pump handle. Still later ones had pressed checkering on the wood. The 342 was a little better finished then the 312.I have seen very odd looking Asian airguns called Banjamins, but they don’t even try to copy a real Benjamin. Sharp of Japan and Cannon of Indonesia made rifles a little like the Benjamins, but made no attempt to pass them off as such. It was hardly a patentable design. The 342 was replaced by the 392 in the early 90’s. Benjamin bought out Sheridan in 1977 and Benjamins and Sheridans morphed into the same gun. Crosman bought both in 1992. A modern Benjamin 392 has hints of the early 392, Sheridan and even the Crosman 1400 blended together.5th rifle from the top is a 1967 Benjamin 312. 2d from the top is a 1978 Crosman 1400. 3d rifle from the top is a 1978 Sheridan Blue Streak.

Old Benjamins are very popular, you might do a search(old questions/answers) or ask for a reference on this site for someone in your area. But, I do know that the three above are all well thought of and that Tim McMurray is considered to be one of the best in the world.

I had a old Benjamin 312* when I was a kid and when I heard about the new model 342 I put in my order at the Coast to Coast hardware store in our little town. That was 1969 and I believe the rifle cost $29

*a friend of my grandmother gave it to me, in exchange for doing some work for him.

Good luck

Benjamin Model 347 Pellet Gun?

1 - IMO the best "scope" for your Benjamin is a peep sight.

#2 - The pellets your rifle prefers - Every airgun is different. - Even if you and I have the exact same gun, chances are they would prefer(accuracy) different pellets. - That said, generally speaking, rifles in that power range are going to shoot 6.5gr - 7.9gr pellets best(accuracy & trajectory)

I would try Beeman Lasers(6.5gr) & Crosman Premier Domed Lights(7.9gr) first, since they are both high quality and reasonable priced pellets.

#3 - A drop of Crosman pellgun oil every now and then would be a good start.

#4 - The newer 392 & 397 suggest a maximum or 8 pumps - with the older 342 or 347 you can pump them 10 or 12 times without damage.

A Benjamin 342 was one of my first air rifles

What are the best ways to disassemble your Benjamin Franklin Model 132 Air Pistol?

I haven’t done it to mine. It was overhauled in the 80’s and its been fine since. I did have to replace the link spring and I’ve worked on other Benjamin and Sheridan guns. My pistol was purchased by my Uncle Frank Smith in 1942 and shot by him and my father til Dad went to war. Frank was a little old for the draft and was in a strategic industry. Its a simple and easy design to disassemble. The muzzle cap is held together by screws instead of the cheap, but hard to remove/install roll pins of later Benjamins. The pump seal on early pistols was leather, but later guns had a neoprene seal. You will need a special tool to get at the valve. You can get this from Crosman or Palmer’s Pursuit Shop.Once repaired, it should get maybe 3oo-350 fps with a 14.3 gr pellet at 8 pumps. Early models were rated at 8 pumps. Post war models were rated at 12 pumps. When I hunt I take it to 20, but this is rare and I pump slowly to avoid heat induced pressure and added stress to the mechanism. It was an excellent pistol. An evolution of simpler guns. Later Benjamin pistols were shrunken air rifles.Contact Baker Airguns for parts or to have them repair it.

Pellet pistol 22 cal?

Yes there is

Evanix - Hunting Master AR6
.22 caliber - 1000fps - 6 shot - PCP
http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model....

Later: "MICHAEL D" The Webley Tempest and or Hurricane are very nice pistols. It's getting tougher to find one though.

>>It needs to look like a real gun<< I don't know of any "high velocity" .22 caliber air pistols that look like real guns. There are .177 caliber BB & pellet pistols that do.
Beretta FS92 - Both looks and feels realistic.
http://www.pyramydair.com

The Benjamin EB22 is a 500fps .22 caliber co2 pistol. It looks more like a "real" handgun than the AR6
