What Is A Good Inexpensive Flat Iron

Question about TJ Maxx flat irons. Are they any good?

I've had nothing but Chi flat irons for years but I've had it with them. I've had to purchase two in the past three years because they've both petered out after about a year and a half (some weird electrical problem). They work great (when they work) but for some reason mine don't last very long and I'm sick of it! I was looking at TJ Maxx and saw a bunch of flat irons selling from around $19.99 to $39.99. Has anyone ever purchased one from there and are they any good? I think one of the brands was LaLique. I really hate to shell out another $100 for a Chi that will only go bad after a year or so.

I know you can send your old Chi iron to Farouk and spend only $35 to have them fix or replace it but they told me the wait would be around 6-8 weeks because they're backed up (gee, I wonder why since their irons are crap). I use my flat iron every day and I don't want to have to wait 8 weeks! I would rather just buy a new one somewhere else.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good Steam Flat Irons?

I have very, VERY thick, wavy hair, and my current flat iron (Vidal Sasson *older model) just won't straighten my hair! I need a STEAM flat iron for around $40?

A good flat iron and a Good heat protector?

I recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. You can buy from http://MyHairStylingTools.com or if you are in Canada you can buy at http://www.rylees.ca . Or check out the reviews at http://flatironsreviews.com . It works pretty good with any type of hair. I hope this helps.
And about the heat protector I use Pro Naturals Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment with Heat Protector, it helps strengthen the hair that's prone to breakage, splitting or snapping off, gently smoothes the hair, reduces Frizz and helps prevent heat damage, plus leaves hair healthy, shiny and resilient. Check it out at http://www.rylees.ca/pro-naturals-moroccan-oil-hair-treatment-with-heat-protector.html . Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Which hair flat irons are great and not expensive?

Finding a good yet cheap flat iron for your hair is no easy task!! It can be difficult to know what exactly you need and which brands are the most popular and reliable. To help you, I've reviewed the best hair straighteners on the market. Some are- Ceramic flat irons, Titanium flat irons, Tourmaline flat irons and professional flat irons. Before dividing into the details of straightening irons, you'll need to determine your hair type.A person with fine curly hair needs a different straightener than someone with thick coarse hair:)When you know your hair type, finding the best flat iron for your hair is much easier. Choose from different plates (Ceramic, titanium, tourmaline), different widths and temperature limits.Go sleek with these top rated and best flat irons!! These straighteners will give you the best results, minus the scorch and no matter your budget:)Some cheap yet best flat irons from me:-1.Bio Ionic ONEPASS - ceramic2.Remington- ceramic3.Paul Mitchell PROtools EXPRESS- ceramic4. Babyliss PRO- titanium5. TS-2 Millennium- titanium6. HST Proffessional- tourmaline ceramic7. FHI Heat Platform- tourmaline ceramic8. Ghd Professional- ceramicMy favourite is the ceramic ones as it is by far the most popular material of flat irons as it is both inexpensive and actually works better to smooth and straighten hair at a LOWER TEMPERATURE.These are great for eliminating frizz and locking moisture too.Hope you find one which works for you:)Good luck!!

Do chi flat irons work that well?

right now i just have one of those really inexpensive straighteners that does not work well because like twenty minutes after i straighten my hair, its wavy again

do chi straighteners work well? will they make my hair straight for the entire day? are they worth it? also what model would you recommend if you like your chi straightener?

thanks!

What flat iron is better?

I'd have to say the Bed Head 1" Professional Tourmaline Nano-Ceramic Straightener. You pay more money for it, but it's worth it because it's a lot better.

My flat iron ruined my hair! Help!?

Yea your going to need to cut ALL those dead ends off. In the meantime put a oil on your ends before you go to bed and before you wash your hair. That will moisterize your dry brittle ends and protect them from the harsh sulfates in shampoos. When you go to bed wear your hair in a high bun to protect your ends. Also, start air drying your hair insted of using a blow dryer. If you MUST use a blow dryer put it on the cool settings. STOP straightening or curling your hair with hot irons. They will just contribute to even more damaged hair. Start deep conditioning. There are homemade deep conditioners that will work. If you want even MORE damaged hair then stop straightening. That is one of the MAIN killers of hair..Take some vitamins and keep a good diet. Do styles that DON'T require heat like..

*Wear your hair wavy- when your hair is damp braid it up in some braids (2 braids if your lazy lol) leave it in over night when you wave up you have beautiful 'S' waves. And this can be done on ANY hair type and ANy length..
*flexi rods- use some flexy rods when your hair is damp let it dry then BAM sexy curls.
*Rollerset
*scrunch your hair
*high buns
*french braid
etc.

Chi Ceramic Flat Iron Vs Linea Pro Flat Iron?

Linea Pro Information:
New C2 technology is exclusively found with Linea-Pro flat irons. C2 uses pure titanium plates so that negative Ions and far infrared heat can be produced in abundance. In fact, C2 produces 30% more of these two essential ingredients than any other flat iron using ceramic. The mass mixture of negative ions and far infrared heat then suspend them selves over the actual surface of the plate like an invisible coating. When passed through the hair this invisible layer never breaks up, discharging a huge amount of these two essential particles/ elements directly into the hair shaft. This helps to lock in moisture and increase the ionic effect like no other flat iron. The new patented heat expansion technology is only found in the Linea-Pro C2 range and ensures perfect flat plate alignment when hot

What's the best flat iron?

Hair dryers are amazing tools, but blow drying alone can’t make your hair as smooth and straight as a flat iron can.A good flat iron can make it look like you have a completely different head of hair, taking your locks from curly or wavy to pin straight. Whether you have wavy hair, coarse hair, kinky hair, frizzy hair, or flyways, flat ironing can make that hair look longer, shinier, smoother, and sleeker. This hair straightener that feels like it was made just for you. Say no to frizzy and unruly hair with the ionic treatments that this Straightener provides. With rounded ceramic plates, you can easily control the straightener to create whatever style you like. It has some different heat settings, up to a maximum of 450 degrees. That means it would be suitable for all different types of hair and hairstyles. Also, once you set a temperature, it will only vary within 1-degree Celsius. The high degree of accuracy ensures safe use.Used on natural hair this made the hair very sleek and shiny. It’s also touch which surprised me! Heats fast! Easy to clean. It comes with a case also.

What is the difference between a hot comb and a flat iron? are the results that different?

You all need to quit it. I'm about to give it to you straight sweetheart. A hot comb is primarily used to staighten natural hair. Hair that has never been processed by chemicals. The back of the comb and not the teeth is what is used to straighten out the hair. A flat iron is used to do the same thing BUT it won't straighten out natural hair the way a hot comb will so it is primarily used for chemically treated hair.
