What Is Life Like As A Kpop Idol

What Are Kpop Idols Like In Real Life?

Who I thought was charitable, reliable, charming, compassionate, bashful, comical, kindhearted and humane may be just an act. Could It Be? Is their a chance that kpop idols arn't who they appear on camera?

This one websight made me really think. http://www.wattpad.com/11339982-facts-about-kpop-groups-and-artists-kpop-secrets-d

How is the kpop idols life?

It depends on the group and which label they're under. But I would say they have pretty difficult lives. I say SM artists have it harder than YG artists. YG artists seem to tend to have more freedom, both in their personal lives and with the music they make. But they are also pushed very hard because YG strives for the best and true talent and emotion. SM artists are more restricted. You can watch some reality TV shows like 2NE1 TV, The Taetiseo, etc. to get a feel of what it's like for them (of course, it's not EXACT as I'm sure they are aspects of their lives that they do not want to air on TV). If you want one that seems really realistic of what training was like, watch the Nine Muses documentary. You should also watch "I AM" which is a documentary about SM Ent. artists.

Their schedules are very packed, they don't get tons of sleep very often, and they may travel outside of Korea quite often, probably more often if they are popular. Less popular groups probably stay in Korea more because it means less gigs and stuff. Taeyeon from SNSD said herself that after debuting, her friends said she was different. Depending on where your family is and how busy you are, you may or may not get to see your family often. If they live in France or Brazil or Canada, you probably rarely ever get to see them because you won't be given long vacation to travel over just to see them. Goo Hara stated at one point that she hadn't seen her family since her debut (that may have changed now because she said this quite a while ago).

THey also have a lot of pressure put on them to strive for perfection. They have to keep a good reputation, have to learn choreography in a short amount of time, there's just a lot of demands you have to meet as a K-Pop star. You probably know that netizens and such can be pretty critical and harsh.

I used to feel like they weren't too human either lol but after watching things like The TaeTiSeo and I AM and 2NE1 TV, I realized that they're more like me than I thought. It was refreshing, to see even a little tiny aspect of their lives (even if it may be a little controlled by whoever made the show).

What is life like as a KPOP idol?

So I've been a huge fan of KPOP for a while now and I'm just wondering what's it really like for these KPOP idols?

Like I understand that they go through a lot of hard work, but do they really have a happy life and enjoy what they do?

How is life like as a kpop idol? and even before that???.. and can i audition?

There have been many questions like this in the past, so I'll try to keep this short.

How is life like as a kpop idol?
- Life is hard. As a trainee, you are often getting schooling while training in singing and dancing after-hours; and if you don't know Korean fluently, you'll be having to learn that as well. As you can tell, trainees don't sleep very much. Neither do kpop idols. I wouldn't think the life of a kpop idol isn't completely glamorous, but I'm sure it is a hundred times better than the trainee life, and worth it in the end (if you're with a good company, you become popular, etc). I don't know about trainees, but idols don't get a whole lot of down-time (U-Kiss didn't get a proper vacation until ~2-3 years after their debut!); they do get day-offs, but not a whole lot of extended vacations.

Can I audition?
- Yes, you can. You are at a good age to audition, so go for it. It's all a matter of going for the auditions (many companies like SM, among others, hold global auditions. You can find dates online). According to what you've disclosed, your body is perfect for kpop; you are tall and thin, which is one thing companies look for. On top of that, you are multi-lingual, which is another plus. But I can't judge merely on info: looks are another large part. Pretty faces, long and thin bodies, and pale skin are things companies look for. And of course, there is the talent factor, if you can actually sing and dance. Keep practicing, get criticism, and just go for it. You'll never know unless you try out.

Good luck! :)

Is the kpop idol life worth the hard work?

There is no definite answer but coming from me I’ve compiled a list of pros and cons when I was considering auditioning to become a k-pop idol.Pros:1. Fame: You will be loved by your fans and recognised around the world (of course it depends on what group you are from and if you’re solo what your target audience is)2. Talent: Depending on your strengths (dancing, singing, rapping, acting etc.), you will be able to enjoy various type of stages3. World Tours: You can go on World Tours and travel the world while you are at it, learn cultures, try new things and see new sights.4. Possible Acting Careers: Some kpop idols are able to act in K-dramas so you can enjoy some other things apart from being on stage.5. Meeting Other Idols: Well it’s basically in the title. Getting to meet your favourite stars and possibly even collaborating with them.Cons:1. Trainee life: Under pressure and very competitive. You never know if you will debut or not. You can even be kicked out, so your years of training go to waste. After debuting, you will also take the risk of either not earning any fame and going back to normal life or hit the jackpot and make it big.2. Crazy Work Hours: You will most likely become unhealthy from these even. You will have to dedicate and commit your life to this. You will also suffer from lack sleep.3. Saesangs: When you hit it big the cons don’t end there. Saesangs are obsessive fans who will do crazy things to make you notice them or they may even try to stalk you. You will lose ALL privacy.4. No Family Time: Working with your members and seeing them 24/7 will take time away from being with your family. You may even have to go to another country all together, move out of your house and you won’t get to see your family often.5. Money: While big groups do make quite a lot of money, this is not the case for every group. Untrustworthy companies may even choose not to pay you as much as you earn
