What Is The Best Wood Cleaner To Clean Up After Roaches On Your Wood Furniture

Roach infested apartment. Should I leave the furniture behind too?

You should negotiate with your landlord to pay ALL of the costs for your move. My suggestion is do not take the furniture, once infested always infested. Do not bring your moving boxes into your home. Wash everything as your remove it from the apartment and pack it in the truck this includes the bottoms of all of your shoes and your clothes and bathroom items. Do NOT take any unnecessary cardboard boxes from inside the house. This includes cereal boxes. Put everything into plastic ziploc bags. Wipe off canned food as well. Any wood and metal furniture and mattresses you can take but I suggest putting it all in your driveway, covering it with a tarp and bombing it anyway. Have an exterminator do preventative treatment before you move into your new place too. If the landlord doesn't want to pony up (of course this is assuming you complained about this in the first place) then take him to small claims court for your moving expenses and replacement of any household items that you left behind. PS You should really turn them in to your local Housing Authority as well.

How to get rid of roaches on bed room furniture?

So, my husband and I bought a bedroom furniture (inculding mattress) set via craigslist. When we got it to our house, we noticed several tiny roach crawling out of the drawers. Obviously the house we bought it from was infested!!! Thankfully we have not seen any come out of the mattress. We are afraid to use soup and water because this will damage the furniture. Any suggestions? Is this salvagable, or did we just buy a disaster?!?!?!

Do I need to clean my furniture after I just bombed my house for fleas?

I don't use them... this is what I do (less toxic)

IF YOUR HOUSE / cat HAS FLEAS….

I have a NATURAL remedy for getting rid of fleas in your house.
I DO NOT LIKE SPRAYING INSECTICIDE AROUND THE HOUSE.

Go to the Store and buy some 20 Mule Team BORAX. (you find it in the soap isle if you can’t find it ask the manager to order some for you)
Then sprinkle it all over. Carpets, couch, bedding, pillows, PET BED’s, car, even wood floors.
I walk around on the floor so it gets down into the fibers. Rub your hand over the couch, etc.
(NOT ON YOUR PET!)

THEN VACUUME IT UP.

What Boax does is coats the eggs ... The eggs hatch deformed or unable to reproduce.
You will have to do this 2 or 3x about a week apart in order to get all the egg cycles.

Since I did this I no longer have fleas in the house. Since you vacuume it up it is not a danger to pets or children.

FOR YOUR PET. Use the topical flea killer that is on the market or wash with Dawn dish washing soap (make sure to rinse all soap out) and use a flea comb (this is also a head lice comb) especially for kittens or puppies who are too young to have insecticide put on them.
Kill the fleas that you find on the comb with soap or alcohol

(there is also another bug that bites… “noseeum” and the cat might scratch from that. Check for flea dirt on the cat. Advantage+ says it works on these bugs.

How to clean roach feces from a dresser?

I bought a dresser/chest of drawers from someone on Craigslist. The house seemed to be strict for storing furniture they had refinished and were selling, so i don't know how clean the place was before. Located in somewhat of a bad neighborhood. There appears to be roach poop in the drawers, but no live ones. How do I clean it so everything dies if there is anything alive? I've sprayed it with bug spray, scrubbed out with bleach and water, and sprayed with Lysol, and plan on leaving outside for a few days. I cannot take my chances of bringing these demons into my home!! Help please
