For me 3 core categories, namely- personal accolades/accomplishments, team success and overall impact/influence on the game.Simply put, to be the greatest of all time, no award should've eluded you. This means, in your playing days, you were a force to be reckoned with. A complete beast of a ball player. Needless to say, MVPs, AllStar games, All NBA team, DPOY accolades should be expected.Secondly, if you're truly the greatest to play the game. Your impact should’ve been felt first and foremost by your team, by measure of the number of titles you brought the team.And lastly, and more importantly, if typical great players leave a lasting legacy.
