What is music? What is it about it that we all are attracted to? What is that force and energy that connects us all to the melody?
This question can have a more interesting answer under scope of anthropology and spirituality.Anthropologists realized that frequenencies we have been using for centuries match with the frequencies birds sing( consider sound is continious, and why we use the exact 400hz for note A but not 403Hz etc.). Then they realized first human invented songs by imitating the singing bird. From this point of view can we theorize that music is a nature imitation? This can also connect to spirituality? Osho once said classical music is highest form of music because it is the most spiritual ( Taoist, enlightening whatever you call it) while jazz and rock is about sex mostly. Music is a form that manipulates and stimulates different kinds of human feelings. These depend on the scales and also the tonality of the production. And maybe way a song is, has a special quality to affect chakras and bring out different emotions. If we go back to singing birds topic, trying to understand what made humans motivated about imitating birds can give us ideas about the meaning of music. Was it the mystery of a bird singing in the woods, pure joy of healthy nature projected to singing of them or them being the messenger of ending of the dangerous night? Or maybe males went out hunting in the very early morning listening to birds and meaning of music has a survival quality in it too. I think these all give an interesting idea about what music can mean to us in an evolutionary sense. On the other hand you may also state that music is a mating call, and note that people love music the most when they are at their teenage years.
What is 8D music?
The actual terminology is not 8D music, who knows where that came from. The actual term is Ambisonic Audio. It is destined to be the de facto audio medium for VR content, to provide an engaging VR experience to the viewers. The actual audio is delivered by first programming the audio outputs through a virtual sphere dome, then virtually recording it by a virtual recorder at the centre of the virtual sphere dome, and finally, taking the amplitude results and using it to divide the audio gain and splitting it into L/R channels. This can also be done very easily on a 5.1 or 7.1 channel, although the accurate programming of those would require some time, and proper placing and setup on the users end. This is a very simplistic way of explaining the whole ordeal, without getting into details of B format track that adds height and depth perception. Also, if creating the audio virtually, then even a monoscopic audio file will work! Because duh, you can record it anyways in left and right virtually!Off late I am seeing a lot of videos on Facebook that are just panning an audio track and calling it Ambisonic. And people are actually going crazy about those lol. Rest assured, most, 99%, are notIf you really want to feel, FEEL, the magic of Ambisonics, look out for a higher ‘order’ ambisonic audio. Orders for ambisonics are like resolution for picture/video. Higher order means higher quality. Orders go upto the 7th. By the time you reach 3rd-4th order, you wont believe your ears. You can literally feel sounds coming from top and bottom with incredible clarity, + around, as programmed by the sound designer.**For aspiring audio techies: The preferred format today for ambisonics is the Ambix format(.caf). It takes up the SN3D encoding. It has no restrictions of data size limit unlike the 4gb limit by (.amb) format. SN3D encoding is the accepted medium for YouTube 360 videos, should you decide to have those. Even if you create an Ambisonic audio file and render it with the video, YouTube will not allow the video upload with the 360 audio without metadata injection.(Check Spatial Metadata Injector for easy and hassle free metadata update)Long story short, it gives an almost real immersive experience while viewing VR.Hope this helps, cheers.

What is Carnatic music?
Carnatic music or Karnatik music or also known as Karnataka Sangeetham is an art form that was developed right from Prehistoric times during Vedic age. It's considered as a fine art and as a musical form of Indian origin. In a nutshell here are some of the facts about this musical system. The first known treatise of this art was mentioned / written as the last 6 chapters of the ancient work “Natya Shastra” by Sage Bharatha.Initially, the musical system acted as a vehicle for emotions for a dance drama opera, later it was nurtured and got an individual stature as a standalone art.Usually, confined to the 4 southern states of India (5 now), the art is now popular among other genres and concerts happen worldwide.Ragam, Shruthi, Thalam and Bhavam constitute the crux of this art.The system uses 7 notes in an octave and divides the octave into 22 pitches denoted by 12 positions. The 12 positions form the major tones and 5 of them are again divided as 2 semitones totalling to 22 pitches. There are two aspects to the rendition or production of this art form→ Kalpitha Sangeetha - Compositions composed by composers adhering to ragam, thalam and bhavam.→ Kalpana Sangeetha - Vocalists / Instrumentalists creating music spontaneously at the stage. The art transformed along the timelines having ancient, medieval and modern events. Purandaradasar is considered as the Father of Modern Carnatic music. He authored a musical form called krithi which is widely used now. This musical form witnessed a major turnover in the modern times after the compositions of Trinity came into being. Thyagaraja, Shyama Shastri and Muthuswami Deekshitar are considered as the trinity of Karnatik music. The concert of this musical form is called a “Kutcheri”.Sangeetha Kalanidhi - is one of the highest honor awarded to a musician in this genre.

What is music all about?
M: MentallyU: UnstableBUTS: SensiblyI: IncredibleC: CreatureThat's how I define the music, when somebody asks me to. It's like another world, which doesn't has any doors to enter, It's like a corridor that you walk through, in the house of Life, that I wish to last for ever. People say, when it comes to music, people just go crazy. But what I feel, is making any music, represents You, Your Soul and Your Inner peace, it's like some cocktail of techniques, skills, experiences, practice. It's like Milk shake, where you can sense each flavour of dry fruits, Ice cubes, the blends of each and every flavour of your ingredients, and when finished up, you just want another glass, even when your Stomach has no space. Some people are in habbit of listening tracks on repeat mode. And guess what, I am one of them, and the best part am not ashamed of it. Cause musicians find the music relatable and a normal guys find their lyrics relatable. And the song which doesn't has lyrics, less then 40% of normal people basically don't give a flip to it, and rest of them go to listen them, just because their music seems like they could really connect themselves with the musician.Music is not a voice that makes me feel better, a sound that calms me down, it's kind of more than a meditation to me. Sometimes I deal with the anxiety or depression or something, or simply hopelessness, them music helps me to calm myself down again, to fight with my daily life stuff. May be I'm in such a situation, if I won't listen a single music, or track of my wish, I would start to suffocate myself in an open air place. Is it an addiction, or its a devotion, or its tool that use useful as a Lifeline or something, I don't know exactly. But the only thing I know, it's the music is the bond that is joining people all over the world. And I don't wanna leave this place, my this world, that has nothing to do with caste, race, gender, taste, politics, etc. A place where I could atleast take a breath with a sense of being myself.
What is the true meaning of 'music'?
True music is that which elicits strong emotional states of mind. These feelings can be enjoyed or suffered. I once thought that classical music was for the older educated individual. But since putting aside prejudices and really hearing and falling into it. I now have classical offerings on my playlists. My tastes can only be described as Broad. Catholic is a better label. I wish popular culture music gets back down to what music should be. Not the simplistic form that it's been distorted into to suit the record makers. The true inventiveness the likes of Abba for example or the Beatles. Because I prefer to spend more social time with the younger generation I get to have had exposure to their music too. I can't come to terms with that rap or hip-hop that just wallows in self pity. I had exposure to this in the form of a Crow Eating set of musos. Not one of their compositions spoke of love or hope. All in all the soundtrack to a dystopian world

What are the best free and legal music download sites?
What I find truly amazing is that by the 21st century people forgot that anything that the computer shows can be saved. Text, images, sound, movies. As long as your device shows it, you can save it, just like in the old days but better. In the old days, the radio played a song and we connected the output of the radio to a magnetic tape recorder and saved it for later use. There was nothing illegal about it as long as we saved it for ourselves. The TV played something and we connected the output of the TV to a video recorder for for later use. There was nothing illegal about recording a TV show or a movie because it was aired at a time you could not watch it. So we saved it to watch later.Fun fact: today, every single computer is a library, a TV set, a tape recorder, a video recorder, a photo camera and a video camera in one. Everything that it shows and plays can be saved for later use as simple as that. Yet, for some mysterious reason, everyone forgot about this and everyone thinks that downloading is the only way.As long as I am aware, no downloads are legal as long as the material is copyrighted. So the answer: there are no free and legal download sites for copyrighted material and there will never be.However, using your own devices to record (not download) material has never been made illegal either. And that’s why I am absolutely puzzled and speechless when someone sitting by a laptop asks: “how can I download this song that I am listening to right now?”I mean, DAH!? You are listening, watching, reading things on a computer and you have no idea how to save them for later use? As a 46 years old earthling, who wish to keep some fragments of faith in future generations, I am deeply offended.
Which is correct, "queue the music" or "cue the music," and why?
Both phrases are possible, thanks to the power of English. To "cue" something is to signal something to begin. So, if you are about to start a program, and it is time for the band to start playing, you are going to "cue the music".To "queue" something is to put something in a line. So "queuing" your music could be a fancy way of organizing it on a shelf, ordering your iTunes playlist, or maybe even coming up with a program for a concert.Of these two meanings, the first one is what people will expect that you mean when you say the phrase. The second requires you to be deliberately using the language in a way people will not usually expect.
