What Is The Primary Aspect Of Cons That

What are the pros and cons of primary and secondary succession?

Primary pro: provides the basis of an ecosystem from nothing more than inorganic matter.Primary con: painfully slow in most biomes.Secondary pro: lots of change and each organism plays a role in that changeSecondary con: once an ecosystem reaches a the next stage, organisms lose their niches and either have to migrate (if possible) or die. Of course this levels off once the ecosystem reaches a climax community state.

What are the pros and cons of primary research?

Primary reseach is extremely productive. This spin off benefits are generally far greater than the orignal research goal.

For exampe when Newton came up with the theory of gravity to explain the movement of the planets, he gave us all the laws of mechanics as a consequence amongst many other things.

The down side is a lot of primary reseach is completely pointless and wasteful. Proper scrutiny would avoid silly projects, however it tends to be the scientifically ignorant who are in charge of the funding.

For example Essex university recently was given funding for researching the social life of a small group of gay Irishmen in London. The fact that the researcher was gay and of Irish origin should have set up all kinds of alarm bells as to whether this was just a scam, which it certainly seems to be.

What are the pros and cons of a closed Primary Election in the US?

Thinking only of presidential politics, really:PRO: The open primary system allows more people to vote, and gives the winner a much better idea of how they will do in the general election, since the voters who participated in the primary represent the larger voting population better than if the primary is closed only to members of the party. The open primary system gets us about as far away from the old days of the party nominee being selected by a few power brokers at the convention.CON: The open primary system does allow for some monkey business by the opposing side (as the previous answer alluded to), with the most obvious way of combating that being for the other side to do the same. This would completely invalidate the whole purpose of a primary. But, it would make for an interesting general election. The closed primary system allows for the party bosses to control the process to a much higher degree, therefore keeping the primary process much closer to the old days when the nominees were picked by party bosses at the convention.Perhaps the solution is to eliminate primaries altogether and go to a system of balloting whereby there are a list of candidates on the first ballot everyone across the country votes for, and a runoff of the top three candidates (from whichever party produces the top three) produces the eventual winner. This would also avoid the meaningless primary problem, whereby a huge number of votes are (usually) completely superficial as the race has already been decided before they get to vote (and the ridiculous concentrated importance of a Super Tuesday primary date that usually DOES decide the race). Of course this would mean abolishing the electoral college, And, in my perfect world, it would also reduce the amount of time we spend on the process and the amount of polling that ends up influencing the process.

What are the pros and cons of being a leader?

Here’s my thoughts coming from a business perspective.ProsWhen you are the leader you can drive the vision and create the culture. When I was merely a subordinate in various jobs, I would see inefficiency and poor leadership and it would frustrate me. Now as a leader I make sure that I do my best to create a positive message and vision for all. People want to be part of something bigger than themselves and that’s successful. You get to bring the energy and enthusiasm. I am passionate about what I do and dive in full steam. When you get excited and show passion to those around you it’s contagious. It’s hard for others to not feel the buzz of positive energy. If you lead right you can be authentic. I focus and enjoy on being myself which I feel connects better to your team. Don’t be fake and try to assume the “ideal” of what you think a leader is supposed to act like. It’s not genuine. You get to lead by example. People rally around a leader who is willing to lead from the front. I believe you need to join in with your team or those around you and be part of the process.ConsThe buck stops with you. You have to take responsibility for leading a team and the results fall back on you. Good or Bad. You have to be able to handle that stress and elevate your entire team’s performance. You have to be able to handle large amounts of stress which can come from different angles. Customers, employee issues, service or product issues and be able to juggle various tasks. You have to be comfortable being the “lead singer”. You are the focal point for good and bad. You are going to be the face of your team or company so you have to enjoy that to some degree or at least be comfortable with that. You can’t control everything. Business is hard and success is never guaranteed. Things can go great for a period of time and quickly change not due to any fault of your own. All you can do is set your company and team up for success by doing everything in your power to tip the odds of success in your favor. You can’t put all of the pressure on yourself because you simply can’t control everything.

What are the pros and cons of being a Teacher's Assistant / Aid?

i know numerous teachers and support staff that have several stories to tell if people took heed and record them. working with extraordinary children that defeat the odds everyday , come to school with a smile on their face regardless of the challenges they have. if you look for the downside in the part you play in a child intellectual and emotional development you won't want to come to work and help t hem . minus the low pay rate of teachers and other employees in the educational field are taking due to budget cuts they know that patience, compassion, and determination are the three keys in make their job a rewarding experience and having students come back and say thank you is the jackpot and why you will keep coming back .

What are the pros and cons of living in Canada?

Pros: Canadians are generally friendly, helpful, and caring. We have (relatively) free healthcare (prescription drugs and dental are not covered). We have a decent social safety net that includes Employment Insurance and social assistance. We value families (1 year parental leave for new parents, father or mother), and education (all K-12 education is free, post-secondary is highly subsidized). We have 2 official languages - English and French. We have a sharing mechanism called equalization in which the richer provinces share some of their success with the poorer areas to try and maintain a similar lifestyle and levels of services across the country, and this is fair because as fortunes change, the payments get re-distributed. We have reasonable gun controls that help us maintain a murder rate of only ~500 murders per year for the whole country. We are not known as a war mongering country and our passports are accepted just about anywhere, with many countries not requiring visas for Canadians to enter. We are part of the Commonwealth, a group of former British colonies, and that friendly group has many benefits. We also have a very friendly relationship - and the worlds largest undefended border - with the US. Despite only having ~35 million people, we generally punch above our weight class internationally.Cons: Winters in many parts of Canada can be tough, but we make the best of it with winter sports and getting together with friends and family. We pay higher taxes than our US neighbours - but we get better services as a result (healthcare, education, etc.), so that's not really a big negative. We have the US as a neighbour - which can be difficult, since they have 10 times the population and are a major impact on much of what we do: our media, news, entertainment, and international trade for instance. But, that same US neighbour normally brings us many more good things than bad, so not really a con. And their election antics tend to bring us lots of good belly laughs, so that's a bonus too!
