What Is The Procedure For Getting 8 Teeth Pulled

How long after you get your teeth pulled can you be fitted for dentures?

You can have a denture pre-fitted and made BEFORE your teeth are pulled and can be placed at the same time as the extractions. It the teeth are already pulled, a denture can be made in around 4 weeks if there was very little surgery need to get the teeth out. But usually 8-12 weeks result in a much better gum and boney ridge to hold a denture.Tooth Implant Houston :: Comfortable, attractive teeth replacement.

After gettting wisdom teeth pulled out?

I'm 15, and today i just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out. During the process i was sededated(knocked out). The procedure took place at arounf 8:00am today and it's 5:00pm right now. I feel barely any pain right now, because my mouth is still swollen.

Now the problem is that, even though i feel perfectly normal now, how will i feel tomorrow if i keep on taking my meds? My boyfriend is coming to visit me and we were supposed to go out. Nothing crazy just to the movies. Will i be fine once the numbness is gone?? i really want to see him >.<

Thanks for all advice(:

I'm getting 14 teeth pulled and immediate dentures put in?

I just had the impressions made the other day so probably in a month or so. I am so scared. I am getting only getting top ones I am keeping my bottom teeth. I am only 24 but my teeth are beyond repair. I am so scared to have this many teeth pulled at once I've had like 4 pulled at once but not 14 :( I am so so scared of getting dry sockets I'm sure with that many teeth pulled my chances are a lot greater of getting one and I am a smoker. I've heard that the
immediate dentures work as a bandaide but I'm not sure how true that is. I was giving a treatment plan from my dentist and it has a list of the numbers of the teeth I'm getting out and out of curiosity I looked up a tooth chart online just to see and I guess one of them is a wisdom tooth I never even knew I got my wisdom teeth is that weird? Is that going to be a problem is it going to have to be surgically removed ? I am so nervous but there is no going back now I already had the impressions made and paid for everything I am so sick of having a bad smile. Im worried about the pain during the procedure when I know the pain after is going to be 10 times worse. I am only using novacaine and laughing gas. My dentist doesn't put people to sleep I wish he did so I could just wake up and it would be over with. Can anyone share there experience of laughing gas with me does it help to take the edge of the anxiety? And make me not notice what's going on as much. Also does anyone has any idea how long it will take to have 14 teeth extracted ? I will ask my dentist all these questions too I just want other peoples opinions. Sorry this is so long I am just so nervous!! Any feed back would be great
ADDITIONAL DETAILS!!!! I already posted this and people were saying how crazy I was and how I should seek a second opinion and my only option is implants and dentures well duh I'm getting dentures
Okay it may sound crazy that is not what I want to hear I want to hear peoples experiences. I know it is my life and my only options are implants and dentures and if you read it says I'm getting dentures!! And no you don't have to wait for the gums to heal you can it probably makes the pain not as bad but I am not going to be toothless for a month I am getting immediate dentu

How long does it take to heal after getting 8 teeth pulled and a immediate denture put in.?

Everyone has a different experience, Part of the issue is pain control and the other is the fit of the immediate denture. Some fit well and others are a nightmare. Some people had self esteem issues when first getting dentures so you may want to think about that too. Depending on how many people you have told at work and what kind of work you may have a bearing on this. I would think about taking the week off just so that you can rest and learn how to work your new teeth without risk of embarrassment. You will need to go back to your dentist at least once in the next couple of days, maybe more.

Feel free to contact me off line if you wish.

How badly does getting your wisdom teeth pulled hurt?

I only got two wisdom teeth on the bottom, and they were both impacted. It didnt hurt getting them out and I had no swelling or pain at all. The worst part is that if theyre impacted or have funky roots, they have to cut them out bit by bit. The sound of the saw is scary, and the feel of someone tugging at your teeth is the worst.

How long does it take to get 4 teeth pulled?

That depends on who does the extractions. Do youself a BIG favor and have it done by an Oral Surgeon and NOT by a general dentist. A surgeon is trained in extractions and other surgical techniques and spends 4 additional years in a hospital training. Where many general dentists do their own extractions, a difficult one for them is a very simple procedure for a surgeon. In general, after local anesthesia takes effect and you are numb, it should only take a surgeon less than a minute to remove each tooth. But, make the mistake of having a general dentist do it, and it may take 30 minutes or more for him to remove it. The general dentist just doesn't have the training or experience of the surgeon. This is especially true if those molars are 3rd molars - commonly called wisdom teeth. If they are impacted in the bone that is not completely in the mouth, letting a general dentist remove then is asking for trouble~!

12 teeth pulled at once?!?

Hi I am responding for my husband who had 16 teeth pulled while awake using local anesthesia, and all his wisdom teeth were pulled at that time. We had stock up on ensure because he could not eat regular food for four days, and then he moved to chili and soups. Ice cream was too cold for his sensitive gums. He had to quit smoking for a couple days b/c of pain. He took a 3 day weekend and went back to work, and says his gums were sore for about a month. He was more afraid of the fear of pain than the pain. He did not want to be put under because he had a bad experience and woke up in the middle of a dental procedure before. So John had all his top teeth removed and all his wisdom teeth. He says it will be extremely uncomfortable for a couple of days, but when he looks back on it he won't remember it being as bad as it was expected to be. (Maybe it's like birth?) My note: He doesn't wear his dentures all the time so don't let your hubby get out of the habit because the bone will change with out the denture in every day.

How long should I wait to eat after getting a tooth pulled?

Most people will be functioning and eating soon after the numbing has worn off. You mention loose in your question, if I may assume, it is likely periodontally involved which can make the extraction an easier procedure since less bone secures that tooth in place. Now if a dry socket develops you are going to have more difficulties to eat or function in general until you can get back in to have a medicament placed into the socket. If you smoke this increases your risk of a dry socket significantly.

Is it normal to have some pain 5 days after getting wisdom teeth removed?

I had one of my wisdom teeth extracted (bottom left) exactly 19 days ago. I was injected with anaesthesia a few moments before the extraction. My jaw, lips and tongue went numb and I felt no pain during the extraction. I was asked to bite firmly on a gauze to stop the bleeding. Then I went home.About two hours later, I started to feel gradually increasing levels of pain and discomfort. Of course, the dentist prescribed painkillers and antibiotics for me to use thrice a day which continually brought down the pain (the pain kept coming up every 6~8 hours). I was also asked to “rinse” the cavity with warm saline water.Over the next 48 hours, the pain felt less and less intense, with the help of the painkillers. By the third day, there was hardly any more pain, only a very slight strangeness of feeling with my tongue that a tooth was missing.I stopped the painkillers completely on the fourth day and there was no pain anymore. I still continued with the warm saline water rinse for over one week; this greatly helps with the healing process. If by the fifth day, there's still some pain that you still have to use painkillers, I don't think it's normal; you may need to contact your dentist.
