What Is The Process Of Moving Schools

How long is the process to transfer high schools?

Transferring schools is fairly quick. People do it all the time, so the schools have the process down. You can have your current school contact the new school to go over the requirements.

Your current school will need to send your transcript to the new school. The new school will have their own requirements for entrance, and your school can ask them what they are.

You may need to provide a physical examination that was done within a certain time period such as the past year. You will need proof of immunization, and there will be a specific list of the immunizations that are required.

Once you are there you will need to provide proof of residence. Your Dad will probably have to fill out a bunch of paperwork. All of this can probably be done in one day.

Most schools have a document that describes the specific things that are needed in order to enroll in the district. your current school should be able to get this from the new school.

You should be able to start at the new school as soon as you are there.

The rules about new enrollments vary from state to state, and I am not familiar with Illinois rules. In my state ( New Hampshire), the public schools are required to accept all students right away. If a student is homeless and living in a car with their parent, and they just pull into town for a few days, they are still required to go to school right away.

As far as making new friends, that is always a tough thing. It all depends on how outgoing you are. If you have trouble meeting new people now, then you will probably have trouble meeting new people at the new school. The best thing to do is to join some sort of a group right away and try to meet people that way. Pick something that you like, and just do it. This could be sports, or a club, or a play, or the band, or whatever. It is always easier to meet someone when you have something in common with them.

Should I move to Canada after high school?

OK, so please don't get offended if you like America, but I can't stand America. I was born in America, but I really and honestly do not want to live here once I graduate high school (I'm only a junior right now). I was wondering if any canadians, former americans, americans, etc could give me any advice about this? I want to go to college to become a nurse. Could I go to a college in Canada after I graduate high school?

Here's some following questions I also have about this:
1) How would I move to Canada, if I chose to do so? (Would I need to take citizenship tests to go to college there? or what's the process?)
2) Are there even any good nursing schools there?

Please, I need some advice/answers on this! Thanks!

Moving to Canada from the US for senior year in high school?

I'm 17, in grade 11, and live in the US. We're thinking about moving to Canada soon (Ottawa, ON) soon so that means I'll be doing my last year of high school there.

How's the education in Canada compared to the US? How easy is the process of transferring schools to another country (paperwork, documents, etc?)

Thanks!

How do I transfer schools?

I'm in Washington and I was moving back to Texas so I need to switch schools. My parents were wondering if there was a way to transfer over phone. This move was sudden and we may actually be moving to Texas before I can get the papers from my school.

So I need to know that as well as the process of transferring. Do I need my parents permission? Do they have to sign the papers? If possible, can I just go to my counselor and get the papers myself, or would my parents have to do it? How long does it usually take for them to fully transfer to your new school?

People who know about this, or have done this before would be a big help. Oh, and please keep in mind that this is information from my parents, but I want to know everything just as a basis. I do have their permission.

Thanks!

Should I change schools? In the middle of Year 12?

I can't decide whether to move up to another city with my mum, or stay living in the current city with my aunt, which I have been for only this half of the year. My mum purchased a house up in auckland, and I kind of missing having a home I can come home too. But I'm afraid if I move it's going to mess up my grades, and I don't want to regret moving. I'm not too worried about making friends at the moment, I just can't decide whether I should go or not? I have great friends at the high school I am at the moment, I'm enjoying my time, but a part of me is telling me that it's right if I move up with my mum... but then I want to stayy...what should i do
I have one more year of high school left after this year. Stay or go
?
