What Is The Safest 2014 Mid Size Car

Which is the safest car in India under 10 lakhs?

When it comes to safety, there are plenty of options under the price bracket mentioned. And the two particular names that come to my mind are the Renault Duster and Renault Lodgy. The Duster, an out and out SUV, gives the unhindered experience of off-roading, at the core of which lie safety features such as ABS, electronic stability programme, EBD with brake assist. The dual front airbags protect you while the monocoque body provides increased torsional rigidity. The Duster also has a Hill Start Assist feature which makes an uphill drive effortless. The reverse parking camera with guidelines and rapid deceleration warning lets you avoid collisions while reversing. Also, with a high ground clearance of 210 mm, you can, without any hesitation, chart on any terrain you wish. The Renault Lodgy on the other hand is a true multipurpose vehicle (MPV) meant for a big-sized family and built with safety features to address all your concerns about your family’s well-being, when you are out with them on those long drives or if any other member in your family is driving. The car features anti-braking system (ABS) with EBD for better control in emergency braking situations. There are door ajar warnings which alert you, so that you know if the doors haven’t been closed properly. Higher ground clearance, driver and passenger airbags, a rear wiper, washer and defogger for better driving in adverse weather conditions and reverse parking sensors with camera make the Lodgy a perfect vehicle for those who put their family’s safety first.Because of the features mentioned above along with great looks, interiors and performance, both these cars have been a favourite in their segment. So, if you’re wondering which cars to buy for a safe driving experience, go ahead and choose any of them between the two. Drive safe and take care!

How do i get my vw car radio out of safe mode?

You haven't mentioned what type of VW or radio are involved here, but when SAFE appears in the display, it means the anti-theft feature has been activated (which can happen in the case of a loss of power). You can only fix this by entering the correct code, which will have been included with the radio manual of your vehicle at the time of purchase by the original owner. It will usually be printed on a card the size of a standard credit card.

The "2" on the left that you mentioned is the number of incorrect attempts to enter the code. In this case, the radio is locked for one hour (at least, on our 2003 model). You must leave the radio on AND the key in the ignition during that one hour to allow for two new attempts at entering the correct code.

When you turn on the radio (of after one hour, after two failed attempts) the number "1000" should display on the radio. The first four buttons of your preset stations are used to enter the correct code (our radio has six of these, so the last two are not used):

- The first button is only used for the first digit.
- The 2 button is only used for the second digit.
- The 3 button is only used for the third digit.
- The 4 preset button is only used for the fourth digit.

In our vehicle, you press each button repeatedly until the correct digit displays. Pressing the button should cycle the appropriate digit through 1 to 9 and 0 until the correct digit shows up in that position, then move on to the next button. At the end of the sequence, press the [SEEK] ^ (up arrow) or the [SCAN] button for about two seconds and you should hear a beep indicating that you have correctly reset the code.

If you have lost this card, you will have to contact the dealer, with proof of ownership, so that they can order a new code and reset it.

If fuel economy is a concern, you're best bet is a small pick-up. You're not going to get better than about 14 mpg city and 19 mpg on the highway with any full-size pickup like the Silverado.
