What Kind Of Dancing Are They Doing In This Titanic Scene

What kind of dancing are they doing in this Titanic scene?

It's based on Irish folk dancing and, the bit I think that interests you, is old style step dance.

or Sean Nós dance

This one has a good description
"This is an old style traditional form of dancing that originated in the Connemara region (west coast of Ireland). This is a low to ground stepping out to the music, very relaxed, similar to tap dance, but it is not the stage show event like the Step Dancing you see in productions of Riverdance. Sean Nós dancing is a very impromptu, rhythmic, and low key accompaniment to a lively traditional Irish band. The footwork "battering" is great fun to watch and listen to. These are typically done as a solo performer or in very small groups and are well suited to all ages. (often times the best sean nós dancers, are the old timers in the dark corners of the pub)."

I can't stand modern Irish step as performed by Riverdance and numerous imitators but I love Sean Nós.

Name of the song in Titanic when Rose and Jack are dancing in steerage?

What's the most interesting scene do you like of Titanic movie?

Where Jack and Rose are running from Mr. Lovejoy after Jack drew Rose. They run down the passages and go down with the elevators, then end up in the engine room and later by the car. I loved that part where they run and the music is so lively…Also the part where they dance down in 3rd class. That was awesome.

Whats your fave scene from titanic?

i like when Jack takes Rose to the real party with all the 3rd class passengers and they dance and drink.

i like the one where he paints her portrait where she's wearing the heart of the ocean necklace and they escape from the spy that Cal has following them and make whoopee in the back of the car.

i also like after most people where rescued and the man asks for Rose's name and she says Rose Dawson and finds out she still has the necklace, and when Cal goes to search to see if she survives and she hid her face behind the blanket.

I like at the end when old Rose passes away in her sleep she transforms to the younger Rose goes back on the ship and meets Jack at the clock everyone is there and they applaud when Jack and Rose kiss.

What is your favorite scene from Titanic?

I was watching Titanic on tbs last night and I was trying to figure out my favorite scene. Mine is a tie between when they kiss on the ship (most well known scene. Hard to describe!!!!) and when Jack takes Rose down to the 3rd class area and they dance, and she stands on her toes. What is yours?

In Titanic, before Jack's and Rose's epic-kissing scene Rose sees a girl sitting with her mother and folding her kerchief, what was the meaning of that scene?

Rose’s story arc is all about breaking away from the controlling influence of her mother and gaining agency in her own life. Rose recognizes herself in that little girl and comes to the realization that she (Rose) has to stop acting like mommy’s little girl and start making decisions for herself.

What is this Titanic song??

It is not My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion... that is the song played during the end credits. There are two songs played during the Irish party. The first music playing iis on the second soundtrack (Back to Titanic) and it is called An Irish Party In Third Class by Gaelic Storm. The second song is when Jack and Rose are spinning in a circle. That is not on either soundtrack!

I have the second song on the computer but it has the audio of Jack and Rose in the background. Since it is not on the soundtrack, I can email it to you if you want.

What's the music played during the party scene in Titanic?

It's an Irish music.Irish traditional music (also known as Irish trad, Irish folk music, and other variants) is a genre of folk music that developed in Ireland.
