What Kind Of Surgery Is Called Idk

Why is plastic surgery called so? Does one get a plastic thing after it's done?

Plastic materials can be modeled. It take a plastic surgeon to remodel flesh.

Why is plastic surgery called as it is? Do they use plastic? Is it bad for your health? Does plastic surgery cause someone to pass away early/shorten one’s life expectancy? Does it cause cancer?

The reason why plastic surgery is called plastic surgery has nothing to do with plastic (stuff made in a chemical factory), but rather the bigger meaning of the word ‘plastic’ meaning malleable or mouldable….In other words plastic surgery uses tissue and bone found in the body and moulds and refashions that tissue for other purposes! It is only fairly recently that implants made of foreign materials have been used such as silicon breast implants…Some of the implants may be linked to a cancer risk, but in general it appears that most of the barrage of questions are based on a misunderstanding of the word ‘plastic’ and are far too broad to address rationally…

How much and in what way is plastic used in plastic surgery?

Plastic (polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene) per se is never used in plastic surgery.Nomenclature of this specialty comes from greek word plastikos & latin word plasticus- which means to mold.Other polymers which are used can be silicone based or polypropylene based (could be threads, mesh or implants) in most of the cases. But again, these compounds are used in other surgeries too.Incorporating a plastic in surgery never makes it a Plastic Surgery.

Should I get double eyelid surgery? I'm 15?

if i was you i would wait a few years. 15 is very young and your facial features are still developing.

also you might feel differently when you're older, it would suck if you got the surgery and then missed your old eyelids. and some peoples faces just suit monolids more the double eyelids.

maybe test out how you might look with double eyelids with eyelid tape?

your mom will probably still be willing to pay for the surgery in a few years if you want to get the surgery then.

What will happen during surgery? ?

It's normal to be scared.

Will i be naked under my gown? (No undies, right?)
You might pee when you're under. Do you want to carry your soaked undies home in a baggie? Yuk.

Will I need a catheter or whatever else?
Probably not. 4 hours is on the edge of that. If so, it goes in when you are asleep.

What if I have my period?
Pad, no tampon, and no big deal.

What tests will I go through first?
Probably none if you're healthy. Maybe a blood count if they think they are going to lose some blood.

What does aenthesia (spelling??) feel like?
Time stops. When it starts again, the procedure is done.

My aunt said she dreamed while under it?
That's unusual, unless it was something minor like a colonoscopy. Most general anesthetics are dreamless. It's not sleep. It's drug-induced unconsciousness.

Will it be a shot?
IV gets started, and the meds go through that.

Will it be like sleeping or kinda half awake? (idk what kind it is)
Probably unconscious.

What if i wake up during surgery?
You won't. We watch to make sure that doesn't happen.

Will I be in pain afterwards?
Maybe a little, but all you have to do is ask for pain meds and you get them.

What if i feel pain during?
You won't feel anything.

Will i have a tube in my throat?
Maybe, maybe not. I'd do the case with an LMA, which is a mask that sits in the back of your throat. What your anesthesiologist does depends on what he/she is comfortable with, and your medical status. Ask when you get there.

What attachments will i have? (like ivs..)
IV, blood pressure cuff, oxygen sensor finger clip, EKG leads.

Where will my parents wait?
There will be a waiting room. Your surgeon will go talk to them there when he/she is done, while you are waking up in recovery.

You'll do fine. Just follow all of the directions that you are given, and all will go well.

Hydrocele Surgery?

Hello experts i'm 21y male some years before i had Hydrocele problem my left testicle became swelled and surgery had been done for that which is usually called Hydrocelectomy. They made incision on scrotum downside of my left testicle, removed the fluid and removed some skin layer or tissue (idk why) and i have some problem that there's sharp stabbing like pain or burning or say numbness occurs in my left testicle then i become uncomfortable then i have to masturbate for that then masturbation gives me temporary relief for sharp pain burning or numbness etc. Then after masturbation it feels comfortable or feel my nerves becomes calm and feel lighter testicle than before but i don't want to masturbate as it is bad habit so i have some questions about that. Is that normal? or should i masturbate to relief the pain, burning or numbness etc? Or is there any problem and should be consult a urologist If there's something wrong so will it be fine after seeking medical treatment Or is masturbation only option for that?

Should I take my ace bandage off to ice my knee after surgery?

I had acl reconstruction surgery yesterday and my knee is ok, I've been taking 5 mg oxycodone pills but it says to ice 20 minutes 4 times a day in the first 48 hours but the thing is they injected my knee with this numbing stuff I don't remember what its called but right after surgery my entire leg was completely numb and I couldn't even move my toes. So right now I have the ice on my knee over the elastic wrap and ace bandage but idk if I should take the ace bandage off or not because I cant feel anything and idk if my knee is cold or not.. cause its still numb... so I don't know if its working... advice from someone with experience would be wonderful.

My face is not symmetrical and I'm very insecure. Is there surgery to fix it?

So I know no ones face is perfectly symmetrical blah blah but one of my eyes is lower or higher than the other and it really stands out to me and the more I look at myself in the mirror the more I think I look like sloth from the goodies. I'm already super self conscious about my looks but knowing that this is something you're really born with makes me feel like poop. I doubt there's surgery for this, idk how there would be but does anyone know how I can fix it if possible? When I look at people their eye symmetry is te first thing I notice and I noticed Megan Fox is a tiny bit off and that made me feel a little better. But there's this actress named shanno doety? Idk I forgot and hers is so bad she looks so stupid and mine is probably as bad as hers I almost cried looking at her pictures. Asymmetrical faces just look so stupid and I hate it :(
