Buy a bolero or jacket to wear over it. really, fat muffin top and the wedding for everyone to see is not right! you will be seeing those pictures forever and you do not want the eyesore and embarrassment on your wedding day. A bridal jacket would do the trick. No amount of duck take is going to keep the muffin top at bay, it is not going to help you. Can you diet? You still have one week. No sodas that will make you bloat (to include diet ones), follow a strict slim fast diet, you have little time. How to prevent sweating in a huge, ballgown wedding dress?!?
I wore a tulle ballgown in the middle of the day in the middle of July and this was a big concern for me, but I was surprised, it wasn't a problem! It was hot, I was sweating, but I didn't give a damn. So much else going on and I was just so happy it became a non-issue. However, beforehand, I planned my makeup so it would not melt...false lashes instead of mascara and hardly any undereye liner. The overall look was pretty matte, not dewy, and I had shine-control papers and powder ready....I did use them a few times through photography. And hair too! I requested a style that took a lot of the weight off and got my hair off my neck. Spend whatever time you can in air conditioning, be it the car or a nearby shelter. When outside, seek out the shade, find a breezy spot, etc; Keep ice water nearby.
Would you ever wear a colored wedding dress?
I wore an ivory dress with a broad red trim on the top that went down the front and opened up into the skirt. It had bronze and gold embroidered flowers in the red part. I loved it and it was the only dress I even considered. I did go with red roses for me, cream roses and bronze dresses for the girls, and an ivory cake with red rose petals. You have to get your colors to go together. I've seen some gorgeous dresses in color.
