What Motherboard Should I Use For Amd Gpu And Intel Cpu

Can a motherboard bottleneck your gpu?

Im suppose to be getting around 48-60 fps playing crysis 3 maxed out but only get 20 - 30 could my motherboard bottleneck my computer
Specs
Gpu:Sapphire 7970
CPU:Amd FX 8350
Ram:8gb
Motherboard:gigabyte ga78lmt-usb3

Is there a computer motherboard that supports both AMD and Intel?

No at the moment there aren't any motherboards that support both company's processor chips . Both are rival companies and use different designs, architecture, and sockets for their silicon pieces.Once upon a time (20 years ago) both the companies used the same CPU socket standards and motherboard manufacturers supported both chip families on the same CPU socket.MSI's engineers have found a way to bridge this wide gap with hard work and Taiwanese witchcraft. But it isn't happening in the near future, I read about it a few days back but the news site gave no confirmation of MSI building the same. This would mean you need only one motherboard which solves all your requirements.

Motherboard(s) (AMD, Intel) that works good with ATI Radeon HD 5770 ?

What's your overall budget? AMD offer more bang/buck if you're building a system under $1000 but if you're talking about $1300 or higher system, Intel's Core i5 and i7 are more powerful than AMD's Phenom II X4 line.

The new hexacore 1055T is impressive but needs to be overclocked to beat out the high-end Core i7s anyway. And spending more for CPUs of that level isn't going to impact gaming performance with a 5770, anyway. It's easy to go overboard on the CPU and forget that GPU power is what matters most.

If you're settled on the 5770, I'd suggest this CPU:

And either of these motherboards:

If you want CrossfireX for the low-cost upgrade path down the road (add another 5770 a year later, when they'll probably be dirt-cheap) get the Asus. Otherwise save money by going with the single-slot Gigabyte.

Look at that Crossfire performance!

Needless to say, a good quality psu is a must.

Motherboard and cpu compatability?

I bought my PC prebuilt, it was a Lenovo desktop with and amd processor and gpu, I switched to an nvidia gpu, now I need a new cpu, my question is whether or not an Intel i5 cpu would be comparable with my motherboard, it's a Lenovo motherboard, it's the Lenovo bantry crb. So would an Intel i5 4440 be comparable with that motherboard? Lif you can't answer that for me, do you know any way I could find out?

I have a GPU:AMD Radeon hd 5450 and CPU:Intel Pentium (R) 4 3.2 GHz...Which one should i upgrade to play games?

Hi guys, I need to know if my Motherboard "ASUS M4N68T-M V2 AM3" can have a cpu such as AMD FX?

No, you need an am3+ motherboard. The + adds Fx support along with Phenom and Athlon. Its odd seeing older hardware costing more. But you have to realize they were made when parts costed much more to produce and they haven't manufactured more with cheaper components, so they need to be sold at higher prices to cover costs.

Like 1GB of DDR2 ram costing as much as 4GB DDR3 ram, seems ridiculous but it was the cost of manufacturing at the time that causes this to happen.

Seeing as you need a new motherboard i would have to suggest the Intel route. Only for CPU's though, AMD is winning in the GPU realm right now for both performance and price.

AMD's per core performance on their CPU's is trumped by intel. Which is why most Intel chips are only 2-4 cores where as AMD is having 4-8 cores. You might think more cores equates to higher performance but it simply is not the case. But AMD still makes very good products for an amazingly economical price compared to Intel.

Could a thin ITX motherboard run with only an NVIDIA GPU and no CPU?

No, but it could run with an extremely low power / low cost CPU.

Can any motherboard support any processor, regardless AMD or Intel?

Motherboards each have specific processors that they will support. Each has a "slot size" and only processors that fit into that slot will work. The most common slot size is LGA (Land Grid Array) but there are varying sizes and pin alignments that make up a variety of socket sizes such as :

LGA1366
LGA1156
Socket 771
Socket 775
Socket AM2
Socket AM2+
Socket AM3
Socket F

Each motherboard has a specific slot size and only those compatible with that slot size will work with it. Often manufacturer post compatibility charts for their motherboards. Check your equipment manufacturers website before purchasing a processor to make sure they are compatible.
