What pets ARE legal in Hawaii?

Check out the pet stores, they carry animals that are legal as pets in Hawaii. As stated, no snakes, but there are other reptiles and amphibians that you can have. As far a mammals go, rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats and mice are legal for rodents. Because we are Isolated, the escape and/or unauthorized release of non-native species can have a devastating affect on native species. All it would take is one or two breeding pairs to upset the balance and put already endangered flora and fauna at risk.

Is it illegal to get a tattoo on your face??

Everyone who has answered has been incorrect.

It is illegal in some states to get a tattoo on your face. One example is Hawaii, where it is illegal to tattoo from the jawbone up. In Georgia, you can't get a tattoo within an inch from your eye.

Regardless, people in states where tattooing the head, neck, or face is illegal still can get tattoos anywhere. Is it illegal for a tattoo parlor to do it? Yes. Do they get away with it? Yep. Will you get arrested on the street for having a face tattoo? Most likely not.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

My Bengal cat is unmanageable! Is it normal and what should I do?

You do know that a Bengal is pretty close to a wild cat right? Wild cats are energetic. They are curious. They are smart.Do some research into what you are getting yourself into when you decide to get ANY cat. Did you just read some people say cats are low-maintenance pets, so you decided to get one? No young living being is ever low maintenance.Biting your toes, wanting to go out, jumping about. Are you even reading what you write? Let me enlighten you.YOUR CAT IS BORED OUT OF HER MIND.Let that sink in. And alsoYOUR CAT IS BORED OUT OF HER MIND.Your cat needs exercise, your cat needs stimulation. Do you exercise her? How often? This cat is less than 1 year old, we’re talking a kitten, the prime of energetic. You’re going to want to to exercise this little girl, after waking up in the morning, before breakfast, before dinner, before sleep. That’s 3–4 play sessions a day, around 10–15 minutes each. We’re talking minimum here. Ideally you’d want to squeeze in 1–2 more play sessions at this age. What sort of play sessions? You get an interactive toy, and you make her run, jump, climb. You make her ambush that toy. If she gets bored, grab a different toy. Make sure you put the toys away when you’re not using them so she doesn’t get too used to them. Cats, especially young kittens, will get bored of playing with the same thing all the time, so essentially you’ll want to have several to use on rotation. You can train her to do tricks or solve simple puzzles with clicker training coupled with treats. This will keep her mind stimulated. If you feed her kibble, subtract some of the kibble from her main meal and put it in a puzzle feeder. *Or if you have many high perches around the house, you can hide some of the kibble around those spots, so she has to climb/explore to get a treat. That way she has to expend energy to get food even while you aren’t around.A bengal cat is energetic and requires a lot of attention. If you are not willing to invest your time, this cat would be much happier if you found someone else to look after her.Did I mention: YOUR CAT IS BORED OUT OF HER MIND.==============================================Edit: Added a possible solution (*), realised there was one I have been doing recently that I forgot to add.

How long can a cat be left alone for? Let's say the owner is going away on a trip.

I recently just went on a 12 day trip to Europe and had to leave my precious kitty alone. Morgan doesn't do well when I leave her alone for a long time. She doesn't get super friendly with other people and doesn't really like them touching her, so I'm basically her only source of love and affection. Contrary to what people believe, cats, while solitary creatures, still need as much love as any other pet. I would never think of leaving her at a cat motel or anything like that, so I usually have my mom stay with her and watch over her. For the most part, she does fine having some familiar with her, but she still pines after me while I'm gone. She'll still eat and what have you, but she's used to a schedule so if I'm not home, she'll go to the door at 10 or 11 because that's usually when I get off work. On the other hand, if I leave her completely alone, she seems to have a really hard time. I don't like leaving her alone for more than a day because I know that she probably gets very anxious being by herself. But really, it depends on your cat's personality. Morgan is very attached - she follows me every where and doesn't even like me taking a shower by myself, so I have to leave the bathroom room ajar so that she can come in and check up on me. She grabs at my feet when I leave the house and is always at the door or in the window looking for me when I come home. Some cats can handle their owner's absence better than others, but my advice for you is that if you're going on a trip, make sure to have someone that your cat is familiar and comfortable with (and that you trust, of course!) to watch them so that they don't get lonesome and are at ease while you are gone. I would not recommend taking them from their home, especially if it's a long trip. Your scent will be all over the house, so it'll put them at ease to be able to smell you even though you're gone and will avoid upsetting them or making them overly anxious.

How can people be okay with eating chickens or cows, but feel enraged when the Chinese eat dogs?

Easy answer: Dogs are beloved pets, whereas chickens and cows are farm animals specifically bred and raised for human consumption. After centuries of interacting with dogs as pets and working partners, we know they have feelings, they actually love us as family and we love them as family. What people who ask this question don't understand is that this is not an issue of “meat" or “protein,” but rather an issue of culture and cultural values.I should point out here that it's not JUST the Chinese who eat dogs. According to Wikipedia, it's done in South Korea, Vietnam and Nigeria (as well as several other African countries) and, historically, places such as Hawaii, Tahiti, Mexico, and even among many North American Indian tribes. To my surprise, Wikipedia says it's STILL legal to eat dogs in 43 U.S. states! But speaking of culture, not all cultures are equal, are they? If you belong to a culture that says it's not okay to burn women alive when their husbands die, you'd consider any culture that DID that to be an inferior culture. You wouldn't just say, “Oh, it's their culture. What right do I have to judge them?”No, you'd be horrified. You'd want it stopped. Confronted with an advocate for widow-burning -- “We've been burning widows for thousands of years! It's our culture, and you have no right to interfere!” -- you'd say “Hey, fuck your culture! You're BURNING WOMEN ALIVE! How could you EVER think that was okay?”I feel the same way about cultures that approve the eating of dogs, and I think most Americans and Europeans would. Also from Wikipedia: “In 2015, The Korea Observer reported that many different pet breeds of dog are eaten in South Korea, including [labrador retrievers and cocker spaniels], and that the dogs slaughtered for their meat may include former pets.”To which I say, WTF??In MY culture, we don't eat dogs. We don't approve of other people eating dogs.I wouldn't sit in the same goddam room with a dog-eater.
