What Size Doc Martens Should I Buy

Are Doc Martens true to size? What size am I?

no i think they run a little big.
i wear a UK 7 and all my UK 7 docs are roomy even with thickish socks.

definitely get a 7.5 though. if i get a 6 or 6.5 (which BTW fit perfectly when i have them on) they give me blisters because the leather just takes so long to break in.

What size Dr Marten shoes should I buy?

In my opinion i would say size 10, as they run big at the toe space.

if you are still uncertain, go to the nearest Dr Marten franchise and try one of the Dr martens. It doesnt have to be the same, but you can still try on and find out which size matches your feet the best. :)

Hope this helps

What is the size guide for Doc Martens shoes?

With women’s Docs, they say to add two to the U.K. size, and that's your U.S. size. So if you are say women’s U.S. 7, theoretically you'd wear a size U.K. 5 in Docs. And with men’s, I think it's add one to the U.K. size for your U.S. size. I'll include a picture of the inside of a pair of Docs I have to help illustrate this.I think many people have had Docs turn out the right size for them going by this. However, I did that when I ordered my first pair, and the pair I got was defnitely too big. I nearly always wear a U.S. women’s 8, so I bought Docs in U.K. size 6. And that's what was too big. So then I returned them and bought U.K. size 5, and that was actually perfect for me even though U.S. women’s size 7, which is what that supposedly equals, is always too small for me. I went on to buy two more pairs of Docs in that size— one a vintage made in England pair and one a new pair but totally different style from my first pair— and U.K. 5 continued to be the right size for me, and if anything, one of my pairs is a tad on the big side. So my opinion is that one wearing women’s sizes should actually subtract three from their U.S. women’s size to get their U.K. size for Dr. Martens. But I don't recall hearing of anyone else who got their size that way, so take it with a grain of salt.

Dr. Martens size question?

Dr. Martens I think are a good buy. They'll wear like iron, & last you forever, & they're classic & don't really go out of style. They do have times where they're more popular, & lately more people have been wearing them, but they don't go out of style even when they aren't as trendy. I had pairs when I was a teen that I'd still wear now if I had them, & that look basically exactly the same as the ones people wear now, & this is going back about 15 yrs. So they're a classic & a good investment. My most fav ones were black, mid-calf, but the best part was they had a thicker than average sole and steel toes, which was so cute because it sort of bumped up the toes. But I digress....
But with the sizing, I don't know if they do it the same for the ones specifically marked as 'womens' or not, but the ones I had were all unisex styles. I had boots & sandals, & while I usually wear a ladies size 10 in US sizes, all my Docs were a size 8. But like I said, they were all unisex styles, & I never had any specifically marked as 'women's'. On top of that, UK sizes tend to run differently anyway. I'd read the reviews & see what they say; if there's none or not that many for the specific pair you want, read reviews on their other women's boots & see what most of the people are saying about the sizing. And check to see if there's a 1-800 number-often times the people on the phone can help with sizing. Or see if there's a store in your area that carries Docs & go try them on to get an idea before you place your order. Because even though Nordstrom is good w/returns & does free shipping both ways, I know how it is if it's something you want, you don't want to go through all of that w/exchanging them and even risk them being sold out by the time you make your exchange.

Doc Martens sizing question?

So, I bought 1460 black leather docs in a size 8, what i normally am. But the ankles kept going up and down when i walked and were pretty roomy. so since I was still in the mall and they were barely worn, I exchanged them for size 7s. but now the 7s are tight and cutting off circulation (just a bit) to my toes when i'm not walking. I know they loosen up a bit and you have to break them in so i don't really know what to do
