At what times of day do most high schools in the United States start and end?
It completely depends on where you live. I'm in suburban Georgia, and my (high) school day starts at 7:20 a.m. and ends at 2:10 p.m., though my bus arrives at 6:10. It's pretty early, but most school districts in the area begin their day after 8 am.
American Heritage High School or Cypress Bay High School?
I'm contemplating which high school I should attend. I received a 50% Scholarship for American Heritage High School (which is a Private school) and I could also attend Cypress Bay High School (which is a Public school)... American Heritage Pros: Great academics Has an Orchestra Great reputation Offers many courses Cons: Expensive A bit far away The people there are either super intelligent or super rich, so there isn't much variety Very competitive The workload is extreme Uniform....>_< I have no friends there Cypress Bay Pros: Friendly environment Variety of people Is a pretty good school, based on academics Nearby No uniforms :P I have a couple friends there :) The workload is manageable Cons: Not as good as heritage in academics There are some prettyyyy bad people there, but most of them are good I'm undecided, and I have to make a decision in a couple weeks! Right after high school, I want to go to a college with a nursing program and I'm considering Cypress College. I was considering Long Beach City College, but they only allow Cal State transfer afterward, and I want to attend a UC afterward, like UCI or UCSD.

It’s a possibility— but. The home district would have to agree to release you. Currently there are a lot of districts with declining enrollment so the chances are slim on that front. Elementary school is a harder stretch. They tend to be more uniform in nature. So no advantage is seen for one location over another. A district might release if the parent works in Cypress and the home school doesn’t have childcare in the morning or afternoon (which is really rare these days).At the high school level other factors can come into play. But in Cypress the high school is part of the Anaheim High School District. If that particular high school happened to have a lacrosse team or theatre group and your local high school did not, the home district might acquiesce to allowing you to attend.
