This can be looked up, since they post this online. You just have to dig. Not something people usually look for. Many do not care, as long as it's there the next day.

Should be same day if you make their cutoff which varies by bank, it may hit same day even after, but availability of funds may be delayed. This is all limited by Federal Reserve Regulation CC and varies based upon how a deposit is made (teller, ATM, mobile, etc.) and where the checks are drawn.

Ahh, Suntrust. The bank that is slow to process any incoming check. Looks like the IRS sends it direct deposits on Friday. I bet Suntrust will try to add at least 2 working days to post it to your account. Nothing against Suntrust - all major banks are the same. /
