What To Do To Dye My Hair Teal

Can You put blue hair dye over teal hair dye?

it might just mixed in it depends how long ago you dyed you hair to sea green but it might work

How light does my hair need to be to dye it teal?

I want to dye my tips teal but I don't know what color to bleach it to first. I'm ok with a darkish teal, I guess. I just don't want to overbleach my hair.

What will happen if I dye my hair red over teal?

I thought it would be fun to dye my bangs teal when I bleached my hair. I want to dye it a (natural) red now but I don't know if it'll turn out really weird. The teal is pretty light, but I'm wondering if I should rebleach the bangs...

What to do to dye my hair teal?

Your purple hair looks amazing!
Well first off, Purple hair dye is more forgiving than Teal/Turquoise and Blues.
Purple cancels out the Orange and yellow tones in your hair because they're complimentary colours, Which is why your hair would have came out like that!

If you want the exact, Teal hair colour, Then you're going to have to unfortunately Bleach your hair.
Now if you're agreeing with what i'm saying and you plan on Bleaching your hair go onto YouTube and look up "How to bleach your hair the 'Healthy' way" This will help you a lot!

Now let me explain why I'm telling you to bleach your hair.
Black Hair dye is so complicated, I'm actually in the middle of making my hair Blonde.
I've bleached my hair in the past so your hair won't come out as bad as mine did. (If you do it right!)
You need to bleach your hair to a white/pale yellow stage, and TONE IT! Those Dye hair removers will take your purple hair colour out but it won't lighten it, And considering purple is a toner colour, Then Your hair is going to be that patchy bleached colour you showed in the screenshot but DARKER.

Think of your hair as a Colour wheel, If you want a Green Teal, Just dye it over Yellow hair.
If you want Blue Teal, then you're going to have to keep toning it until it's at least showing strands of white hair (On bleached hair that is), You can't really get any colour if your hair isn't bleached and has all the dye pigments out of it.

If you're worrying about damage just do these two tricks that's helped me lots.
don't wash your hair for weeks at a time! Yes It's gross!!! But it really works, It brings back the natural oils in your hair, And of course Deep condition your hair, Just put conditioner in damp hair and rest it there for at least 20 minutes, Then rinse out and let it air dry, You'll notice how soft your hair feels.

So unfortunately, If you want the Teal colour you're going to have to bleach it :( If you want email me and I can walk you through it more better (If you've never bleached your hair before!)
If you do end up bleaching your hair use that hair remover you mentioned to get rid of the purple so it'll develop easier and evenly!

Hope I helped in the slightest!
Good luck~ x

Dyed my hair teal but it turned green?

I dyed my hair teal with Ion Color Brillance Brights a week ago, but evidentially didnt bleach it enough. I now have forest green hair with ugly yellow undertones.

Could I put a blue hair dye over it to make it more teal? Or would I have to re-bleach and re-dye it?

If I did have to re bleach, could I do it again now, a week later, or would that damage it too much? (This is my first time I dyed my hair and haven't noticed a loss is health)

If I dye my hair blonde will it cover my teal hair?

1. The blonde dye will not cover the teal. If it was teal over blonde, it would be a darker shade over a lighter shade, so it will work. It's like if you poured equal amounts of Coke and Sprite, it will surely turn out to be a brown colour and not white or transparent. If you put blonde over teal, it'll only be a lighter shade of green at most.

2. Dye is dye. Dye is damaging to the hair. Any color processing damages the outer layer of your hair, leaving the entire strand vulnerable to dryness, breakage and dullness. Your hair will surely be a little drier than usual again, but unless your hair is super burnt at the moment, your hair won't fall off terribly because it's only hair dye and not bleach.

3. You don't actually need to re-bleach your hair. You can simply lift the teal colour off of your hair by mixing vitamin C powder with dish soap and putting it in your hair. It will work as a natural lifter. Here's a tutorial on it by a fellow YouTube user: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjHIrLV09... You can also just get a hair dye lifter at your local drug store. Since your hair was bleached before that, the colour that gets lifted off will be the teal, leaving whatever shade of blonde you bleached it to 3-4 months ago. Colour lifters are not as damaging as bleach will be.

If you need any more advice on it, here's a really useful article (it's called The Ultimate Guide to Unnatural Hair Colouring): http://galadarling.com/article/the-ultim... If you're still scared, get it professionally done since the hairdressers will know what they're doing, and they won't leave any stains.

Good luck! And remember to take care of your hair a lot better in the days following your dye job.

Getting Dark Teal Hair?

I want to dye my hair a dark teal and my natural colour is a medium to dark brown. How light would I need to go from my natural brown colour? I want a dark teal so I don't think I need to go extremely light.
And I want to avoid getting a really bright turquoise so I am thinking of mixing manic panic's atomic turquoise with a bit of enchanted forest.

Here are a few photos of the kinda colour I'm thinking of:

And one last question, how hard would it be to get rid of teal and go back to my original colour or to another colour whenever I get tired of teal?
Thanks ahead of time for any help!
