What To Pack For A 5 Day Trip To Paris In July

If you had to choose between Paris or Vienna for a 5 day trip in December which would you choose and why?

I have often made that choice and Vienna always wins in December. I love the whole spirit of Vienna in the holiday season with its Christmas markets, classical concerts, and great winter food. In any other month I might choose Paris — in fact I am writing this from a comfortable bed in my favorite Paris hotel. When I finish this I will be off to a breakfast of fresh croissants and fresh-squeezed orange juice. But from the end of November until Christmas, Vienna wins. Immer.

What should I wear on a fjord trip in July?

We visited Bergen and did Norway in a Nutshell trip two years ago, in July. I expected it to be nice and cool, but it was +32C (90F) when we got off the train in Flam. Of course you can check the weather forecast closer to your trip and see what they predict for your travel dates, but you will need to check all the points because weather is very different in Oslo, Bergen, and between. I would say that you have to be prepared for anything: it might be hot, or cold, but it will be rainy for sure, at least in Bergen. A thin waterproof windbreaker is absolutely necessary for fjord boat rides. Even if it’s warm/hot on the land, it gets very windy on the boat, and water spray might get you too. Take a hooded windbreaker with you to the boat so you can fully enjoy the ride.

How much would a trip to Paris for 2 weeks cost?

So over the summer my godparents and I are planning on going to Paris for two weeks. But, we of course want to have an idea of how much it would cost to go. I've heard it's around $2,000 but for one person how much would it be? I'd appreciate any answer, or advice! Thanks guys :)

How much does a one-week trip to Paris cost?

1- Going in June and July can be costly because that is the tourist season.
2- Euro dollar is higher since last July when I was there. It was 1 Euro= $1.23 USD. Now 1 Euro= $1.43 USD.
3- If you can find someone who opens their house as a bed and breakfast, it's cheaper that way. Although you may not have all of the convenience but you can save lots of money. I'm not sure how much it costs for hotel since I have family there, I never had to pay for hotel but you need to bring lots of money or credit cards if you want to fully enjoy your vacation.
4- Unlike museum in the US, you have to pay to get in Le Louvre or Musée D'orsay even climbing La Tour Eiffel. Of course, you can also shop on Champs Elysees.
5- If you decided to go, don't forget to visit Montmartre to see Sacré-Cœur and visit Jim Morrison's grave if you know who he was.
6-It's hard to say how much it would cost, it depends on how much you're willing to spend. Remember this is a tourist town, everything is expensive including a can of Coke, it can easy goes for 3-4 dollars.
Have fun.

What should I pack for a one-week trip to Barcelona and Palma?

In Summer the weather in Barcelona is hot and humid. Wear light clothes in linen or cotton and t-shirts. The sun is strong so a light shawl or short sleeves will help prevent sunburn on your shoulders. Same in Palma! What is a good itinerary for a 10 day trip to Europe in June/July for a solo traveler from India with a shoe string budget?

June-July is a wonderful time to go to Europe :) I've been twice in August and it was very hot! From my experience, the cheapest city to enter Europe from India is Prague. You can use Aeroflot ~37 - 40K. Even a multi-destination air ticket should fit into that with +/- 10%. You'll have to try different variations. If you're on a budget, I would recommend not going to London because you need a separate UK visa. To make the most of a UK visa, I would recommend combining a trip to London with other places in the UK like Edinburgh, Wales, Manchester etc. and Ireland as well. You can visit Ireland for 30 days on a UK visa it is a special offer of sorts.Again, your itinerary will depend on what you want to do. You can do a scenic trip across Switzerland and Scandinavia (but both are very expensive). You can visit the major cities in Italy like Milan, Venice, Florence & Rome. You can do Prague-Vienna-Budapest. There are many possibilities. To get started, you can see a few itineraries for Europe here: Featured Trip Plans - All. You can compare different travel options (flights, trains etc.) and see approx cost of your trip as you build it. They also have some details for day plans.
