What Were The Main Reasons Of The Formation Of Rome-berlin-tokyo Axis

I need some info about the Rome-Berlin axis..?

The nation's formed an alliance in 1940.

To provide a net to control Europe (and Africa--although Italy fell far short with their commitments).

What was the point of the rome-berlin axis?

Coalition formed in 1936 between Italy and Germany. An agreement formulated by Italy’s foreign minister Galeazzo Ciano informally linking the two fascist countries was reached on October 25, 1936. It was formalized by the Pact of Steel in 1939.

What was the reason for Germany's early success in World War 2 and did Blitzkrieg play a part in this success?

I was asked this question on my Homework and can not find the answer. Basically why was Germany so successful early in the War and did Blitzkrieg play a part in the success?

Why were Berlin, Rome, and Tokyo Axis during World War 2?

Germany and Italy were pretty obvious, very close to each other, similiar nationalist dictators. Japan with its growing population expanded to get natural resources. Also it was on the other side of the soviet union for hitler the hope stalin would have a 2 front war. however stalin and japan signed a non-aggression pact allowing stalin to move extra forces to stop and invade germany. See victor david hanson book the second world wars (the “s” is intentional) for more info.

Why did Germany Italy and Japan take the name axis?

By their geographical position Third Reich Germany and Italy together formed the central part of the European continent. When you have a centre, you have an axis, like the centre of a wheel. Not much more to the idea than that. When Japan decided to ally with the two original powers, naturally it was spoken of as ‘having joined the Axis.’ Always useful to have a short name. It helps newspaper headlines. ‘Axis does this’ ‘Axis does that’…One can also add that the Swastika symbol was conceived by Hitler as revolving on its axis with its hooked limbs smashing its enemies on the left.

What would happen if Germany did not break the non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union? Would the Soviet Union fight against Britain and France after knowing their intentions behind the German appeasement?

A non-aggression pact or neutrality pact is a national Treaty between two or more states/countries where the signatories promise not to engage in military action against each other. On August 23, 1939–shortly before World War II (1939-45) broke out in Europe–enemies Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union surprised the world by signing the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact (Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact), in which the two countries agreed to take no military action against each other for the next 10 years. With Europe on the brink of another major war, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin (1879-1953) viewed the pact as a way to keep his nation on peaceful terms with Germany, while giving him time to build up the Soviet military. Many people also say that when The Rome - Berlin - Tokyo axis was formed Stalin wanted a Anglo - French - Soviet pact so as to unify the three countries into a single war Front. France already had diplomatic relations with The Soviet Union. However Britain refused to side with the Soviet Union.German chancellor Adolf Hitler used the pact to make sure Germany was able to invade Poland unopposed. The pact also contained a secret agreement in which the Soviets and Germans agreed how they would later divide up Eastern Europe. He also wanted to avoid war on two front’s.However after taking the whole of Europe , only Britain and Soviet Union was left. Operation Sea Lion was enforced so as to take over the whole of U.K . However it was a failure and immediately Hitler enforced Operation Barbarossa. This operation was to take over the mighty Soviet Union. Now coming to the question, It was well know that Japan wanted to take over the entire of Asia. There were several wars between Japan and U.S.S.R. So what I think is that , if the pact would not be broken then U.K would fall to the Germans and then Hitler might focus on Africa and then return to the Mighty Soviet Union. The soviet Union might have faced the war on two Fronts which will end up in a defeat for the Soviet given that there is no other Country aiding it. If U.S.A decides to aid it then the chances might 50–50. There would be noway Britain and France would still continue to fight as they will be defeated by that time.Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact - WikipediaOperation Barbarossa - WikipediaCheers!!!!!!!!!!

What were the 2 power blocs formed during World War 2?

Its hard to say that you are slightly mistaken …but that's not a big issue ..lets see:-Power blocks were formed after the second world war.The term ‘blocks ’comes into play only after the brutal ending of the war with atomic explosions (in Hiroshima and nagasaki)and submission of China (that was boasting off too much in the past time )During the war ,GERMANY, under adolf hitler gained power once again .It broke away from the league of nations and violated its maxims. Seeing the newfound dominanace of Germany ,appeasement policy was followed by BRITAIN AND FRANCE ,which were the dominant voice of LEAGUE OF NATIONS.So,allied powers(means to control German, Japanese and Italian aggression.-refer wikipedia for indepth knowledge :)) and ROME -TOKYO-BERLIN AXIS was formed during the war .THIS IS YOUR ANSWER.FURTHER MORE:-Soviet union on one side (communist block) and Britain ,France ,China ,USA ,on one side (DOLLAR IMPERIALISM ). There were IDEOLOGICAL differences that led to the 2 power blocks after the end of ww 2 & a subsequentCold war between them…soon UNO was setup after the meeting of the big three.Refer ICSE total history class 10 for more details. This is just the key explanation to your. question …i hope you're satisfied

Differences in WW1 AND WW2 in the homefront?? 10 POINTS!?

I think that in WW i, everyone in America was gung ho sp? all for it! But pre-WW II, Americans were very much against entering into "those Europeans' wars" again! Americans were Isolationists! The thing that tipped the balance, was when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in l941. The fact that it was a "sneak attack", inflamed our American sense of fairness! Men enlisted and women took their places in the factories. I think that that was when the Women's Army was formed, too. I was a teenager, and a neighbor girl/friend went through nurses' training and enlisted in the the Army Nurse Corp or whatever. Women took men's jobs as they were drafted and/or enlisted. Women went into was production factories and demonstrated that they could do the jobs as well as men! "Rosie the Riveter sp? was the heroine of the day!
