What Will Happen If I Send The Wrong Game To Redbox

Redbox, what happens if you retrun the wrong movie?

I would never do this, but let's say you rent a redbox dvd that you want for $1. Than you get a dvd that you own, which you don't like, put it in the redbox case and return that one back into the slot, so you now have a free dvd that you want, and will not get charged a late fee, since you returned the case back with the dvd that you owned. Just randomly thought about it. Will it accept that DVD? Does the case have some sort of electronic strip that reads exactly what the last person rented from redbox? I'm sure redbox has thought of this issue happeneing before they made it available, and I was just curious. Also, let's say you are an idiot and do return the wrong dvd by mistake. How would you get it back and notify redbox or the store where redbox is located in enough time before someone else rents that movie? Could you post a sign on the redbox kiosk saying if you rent this dvd, sorry if you get the wrong dvd please contact so and so. That would give redbox workers enough time to get their and get your movie out incase someone rents it. Just a couple of questions I was curious about. Any info will be helpful. thanks.

What happens if you put the wrong dvd into the redbox machine

the machine is designed to reject a dvd if it can't read the bar code found on the disc. your sister probably kept inserting it, thinking she was doing it right. the kiosk would eventually accept it, so as to not wear down or damage the hardware. as far as the transaction, it would still be open & accruing daily rental charges. the machine sells empty replacement cases for $1. buy one & get the dvd returned... it's better to spend $1 extra than own the dvd for $25.00 in a few weeks.

What Do I do If Redbox Gave me the Wrong Game?

I went to redbox to rent Saints Row the 4th, and instead they gave me saints row the 2nd. What do I do? But I feel like what is more important what will THEY do for me?

What happens if you put the wrong DVD in a redbox case and returned it?

Funny story— I actually did something like this but with Netflix. I was watching a double-sided DVD. Silver on both sides, so no label. I was also at the time experimenting with copying DVDs. The technology was kind of primitive but it worked. I grabbed what I thought was the Netflix disk and popped it in the mailer and sent it back. But I had grabbed my illicit copy of the disk. I found out what happened when I got a phone call from somebody at Netflix. The guy from Netflix complimented me on the quality of my copy but wondered where their actual disk was. I ejected the DVD tray and there it was. Since I had a multiple disk subscription I had other DVD mailers lying about. I used one to return two DVDs and included a note to explain why there were two disks in the mailer. There were otherwise NO repercussions.

What happens if you return a Redbox movie after the 25 days?

i think after 25 days its just yours, they charge the credit card you used, and it wont register as a rented movie. i do agree that you should use netflix, its way better then renting at a store or a box. they have a better selection then just the 30 movies or so in a redbox machine and you can keep as long as you like. plus the streaming is awesome i use it way more then the dvd part. i have had the same dvd for almost 2 months, but have watched like 20 episodes of lost through streaming.

What happens if i rent from Redbox but after rental i have no more money on my debit card and dont return it?

Redbox charges after you have returned the game. Return it when you have the money.

However, after a certain # of days (14, I think), they will charge you the full price of the game on top of the daily rental. Make sure you return it before then.

Lol Redbox will not submit you to a collections agency or ruin your credit. At worst, it will cause an overdraft to your account and you will be charged an overdraft fee.

What happens if you turn in a redbox movie without the disc?

I rented a Redbox movie and when i went to return it, i forgot to put the disc back into the case. The redbox machiene took my case, so now i have no way of returning the movie. are they still charging me? and what should i do?

What happens if I return a Redbox movie with no case?

You can’t, the machine shouldn’t (in theory) accept it. If it does by chance, it may not be stocked correctly and also could be damaged. You would incur any costs in either case. If you are missing a case, call Customer Service for a recommendation.

What would happen, in theory, if I returned a Redbox movie case empty or with a different movie inside?

Yeah, the barcode for the movie is on the DVD disc itself. If you look carefully at the DVD, you should see what looks like four QR barcodes printed around the DVD’s center hole, similar to this:Now, you’ll notice that the DVD case itself has a rather large hole in the middle, and this is so that those four QR codes on the DVD aren’t blocked off from the sensors. So, since the QR codes are on the DVD itself instead of being on the case, if you just insert an empty case, the machine doesn’t read any codes, and doesn’t count it as returning the disk. Same with if you try to use any different DVDs than the one you rented. If the disc doesn’t have the exact QR codes that were on the disc you rented, it won’t register as being returned.
