What Would Be A Good Pokemon Team That Starts With A Torchic In Pokemon Emerald

What is a good pokemon emerald starting team?

Well normally, I pick Torchic for several reasons.
Although you have a hard time for the first gym, it is much easier at the end.
It evolves into a powerful fire fighting combo which covers grass, rock, normal, dark, ice, bug
One of the few fire types in the game, with actually decent speed and attack power

Then i catch a Magikarp with the Old Rod ASAP, then evolve to Gyrados for its powerful attack and speed
Ralts is a good find, I will keep it for the Gardevoir
Get a Electrike and evolve into Manetric, very useful for coming battles and you can get them everywhere
Get Lotad and evolve it into Lombre and Ludicolo, the Water Grass type is good, helps counter mudkip
Skarmory is a great addition, can be caught near the route with ashes in it
Anorith is worth mentioning because it evolves in Armaldo, a high attack and defence Bug Rock type
There are some good pokemon out there, go get em
Hope this helps

What is the best team for start Pokemon Emerald?

For every pokemon game, you'll need a water type and a flying type. For Water type in Emerald, I would suggest either a Milotic (very hard to get) or a Gyarados (Magicarp is easy to get but a pain to train). Other common water pokemon have major weaknesses in one stat (Sharpedo has low defense, Crawdaunt has low speed, etc).

For a flying type, many people choose to choose a Dragon type as many of them can also learn Fly. Two common ones would be Swablu and Trapnich. Swablu will evolve into Altaria and Trapnich will evolve in Flygon. Both are great pokemon.

Since you already have a Ralts, I would suggest catching a Slakoth in the forest. Slakoth (and its final evolution Slaking) only attack every other turn. However, if you pair it up with Ralts and use Skill Swap, you can transfer that negative ability to your opponent. Moreover, Slaking has stats equal to Groudon.

If you want, you could get a Shroomish in the forest along with Slakoth. But if not, Electrike, Seviper, and Lotad are all great.

What is a good Pokemon Emerald team?

you'll definitively want a water and flying type, for surf and fly. Trust me it is so annoying needing hm slaves for these hms. You can put them both on pelliper, or use two separates. Like ludicolo and swellow. You wlll want to have a water type before the 6th badge, so id recommend anything found before then. For flying, you could also use flygon. Its a pain to raise, but once trapinch evolves into vibrava, it will be worth it. Altaria is a pretty good flying(and dragon) type, too.
I find absol to be a really good pokemon, too, if you know how to use it. A good moveset would be bite, slash, shadow ball, and swords dance. strategy: Use swords dance, then use shadow ball. Once its sp def is down use bite(dark is special and ghost is physical, its wierd). But if you get swords dance going, absol will be 1 hit ko-ing EVERYTHING.
I would REALLY recommend a grass or electrc type for the last part of the game, since you'll be fighting water types and you picked torchic.
So a good final team would be:
Blaziken:
(possible moves: Flamethrower, brick break, bulk up, _____)
Ludicolo
(Surf, giga drain, ice beam, _______)
Flygon (Fly dragonbreath/claw, earthquake, ____) or swellow(fly, aerial ace, facade, steel wing)
or altaria(fly, dragonbreath,________, ________)
Absol
(Bite, slash, shadow ball, swords dance)
and two other free spots

My team in emerald was:
Sceptile
Pelliper
Crobat
Flygon
Absol
Ninetails

I had a sabaleye, but i ditched it, not because she was terrible, but absol was better, and sabaleye wasn't my best member)

My after-game team is
Sceptile
Milotic
flygon
salamance
metagross
Ninetails
Absol

I know its more that 6, but absol and ninetails were so good i had to keep them.

PS try to make your absol have good speed or defenses, because they cant stand up to many attacks.

Is this a good pokemon emerald team?

Okay so I have a team for each starter but I don't know which pokemon I should start with:
Okay so for Torchic
Blaziken
Walrein
Roselia/Breloom
Flygon/Altaria
Sableye/Mawile
Medicham
Okay for Mudkip
Swampert
Torkoal
Skarmory
Manetrike
Absol
Breloom
And for Treeko
Sceptile
Camerupt/Ninetails
(flying type/non-legendary)
Grumpig
(pokemon that can learn surf,dive,waterfall/non legendary) I will delete the dive and waterfall. Just for pokemon league
Armaldo

Please tell me what you think and you can switch the pokemon if you want
Thank you!

What is the best pokemon emerald starter team?

Mudkip- evolved, it gets immunity from electr [wich is very good for water pkmns] and can learn hydro pump [if you keep it on mudkip until it learns]

Taylow- good to counter attack the treecko, but you can replace it

Numel- Great abilities, rock slide when it turns to camerupt, it also learn fissure and earthquake

Slugma (a substitute for numel)- Not as strong as numel, bu it's a very strong fire pkmn

altaria(swablu)/flygon(trapinch)- good dragon pokemons, not as good as bagon but they can kick some butts on the middle game

snowrunt- despite being catch at the late game, for me it's the strongest ice pkmn in the ruby/sapphire/emerald versions

seedot- very rare, but shiftry learns extrassensory, a very good psy move with 30PP

zigzagoon- use it on a spare slot (if you got a spare slot, of corse^^) to catch items. It's not a strong pokemon, but extra rare candies are very good^^
**Check here to see which and what pkmns catch:
http://www.serebii.net/emerald/pickup.shtml

shedinja (subistitute for altaria/flygon)- VERY strong bug pkmn, hits really hard and has a nice speed, when nincada evolves, you'll get shedinja as a bonus...shedinja is a good pokemon, but doesn't have the ame power that ninjask has...but I still preffer him^^

Best Pokemon Emerald Starter?

It all depends on your tastes because out of experience Mudkip is the easiest to start with then it is Torchic then Treeko being the hardest it is the general rule for pokemon games that Water is the easiest the Fire then Grass

Is there a way to get all three starters in Pokemon Emerald?

If it’s in Emerald, your only options are trading. You can only get one of each starter in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. The rest have to be obtained by trades with other players.Unfortunately this means in order to get Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko on the same team at a time, you have to hope someone bred the starters you don’t have and is willing to trade with you. However, you can trade with FireRed and LeafGreen as well, so if you have friends with either version and they have either Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko, you’re in luck! This might need to wait until you beat the Elite 4 and get the National Dex though, because you can’t make the trade otherwise. But I could be wrong. What about trades with Gen 4/IV? Unfortunately Pal Park’s one way, can’t transfer back. You can only trade with Gen 3/III cartridges.Or…if you’re not caring about legality at this point, you can hack them somehow.

Best pokemon emerald starter team?

I just started pokemon emerald again ^.^ and I forgot what my starter team was...any help making a new one? I have a mudkip and i think I should keep my poochyena. And can I have where to find the pokemon for the team?

Is Ralts a good Pokemon to use as an alternate starter?

It's not as good as you might think. While Ralts is certainly worth adding to your team, it has a very shallow movepool. As you can see, Ralts does not learn any powerful moves until level 27 (30 if evolved to Kirlia), and there are no good TMs available to it until the late game. So you’re going to have a really tricky beginning to the game. Also, you are going to have to pick Treecko as your original starter in order to have the opponent’s starter, Torchic, be weak to your Psychic-type moves. That being said, if you can get it to level 30 as a Gardevoir, you can pretty much sweep with Psychic. Gardevoir is an amazing asset to have on your team, and well worth the moderate struggle of raising it.In summary, Ralts has a very shallow movepool and so will not be great as a replacement starter. However, it is an amazing Pokemon to have on your team and is certainly worth the effort of levelling it up.If you use it as well as your starter, it will be a powerful asset to your team. But on it's own, it will struggle in the early game and generally be less useful than a normal starter.

What is the best team in Pokémon Emerald?

Depending on your starter spot 6 varies1st Gareevoir: Psychic, Calm Mind, Hypnosis.Last move varies a lot, can be either Shadow Ball for mirror types or Dream Eater for sustain, also Magical Leaf (can only be learned by Kirlia on FR/LG by the move reminder) or Shock Wave for never miss hits.2nd Ninjask: Iron Claw, False Swipe, Swords Dance, Baton Pass. Not much to say, build stats for baton pass and low HP as much as possible for higher capture ratios.3rd: Gyarados Twister, Bite, Trash, Earthquake,Good physical sweep, earthquake to get rid of grass and really useful on double battles.4th: the HM slave of your choice, if starter isn't Swampert use Skarmory for Cut, Fly, Rock Smash and Drill Peak5th your starterif you picked Swampert make it your water HM slave + Strength for STAB damage, he hits like a truck even against resistant types, while having moves with a decent amount of PP he can clear victory road with ease.Sceptile, Leaf Blade, Toxic, Dig, Aerial Ace, all around sweeper, can switch Dig for False Swipe for capturing, in which case, keep dig on Ninjask.6th: Finally, if the starter was Sceptile use Milotic, Rest, Surf, Waterfall, Dive, same as with Swampert but with a much higher damage output. If starter was Swampert use Salamence, Dragon Breath, Crunch, Flamethrower, Fly, not much to say, favourite sweeper of gen 3I don't mention Blaziken because he alone can sweep all the way to victory road with Double Kick, Blaze Kick, Aerial Ace and Double Team, but Salamence applies here too with Iron Tail or Rock Tomb instead of Flamethrower
