What would happen to a car if the gear is changed to 1 from 4 at 100 kph?

Two conditions are possible:-1.You press the clutch and downshifted to 1st gear and still you didn't release clutch, then Congo nothing would happen and your car will continue at an even pace.2.Now the same condition and god forbid YOU RELEASE the clutch prepare yourself for a shock that might be so intense that you might hit your head with steering wheel or a normal shock that might shake you up depending upon the car you are driving.Going into depth, You changed the gear of the car to first which was designed for speed to 20km/h max.By doing so you gave extreme forces on each and everything that constituted your car. Gearbox, bushes, spokes bla bla bla. Thanks to engineers who take a F. O. S. upto nine times so that by such incident nothing serious happens to your vehicle.P. S. I accidentally changed to 2nd gear from 5th instead of 4th speed was 65.Missed steering wheel by few cms.

What would happen if car buyer didn't transfer the car in his name after I released the liability?

Here is the answer to your question from the California DMV:“When this online service is properly completed and the information is recorded by the DMV, liability for parking and/or traffic violations and civil litigation resulting from operation after the date of sale becomes the responsibility of the new buyer.”https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dm...All you need to do is make sure the form was recorded by the CA DMV. The vehicle will be registered in your name until someone records a new title and registration, but you aren’t responsible for what your buyer does with the car. That’s on them.As always, keep copies of all forms. Write down any conversations you have with the DMV, including time and date of call, who you talked to and any reference numbers they give you.

What happens if you don't pay your car loan, but they can't find your car for repossession?

My little sister live in Atlanta and has a car that she's paying on. I think she's about halfway through the payments on it. She is moving to New York City and wants to take her car. But she's telling me she's just going to store it in a garage in Jersey somewhere and stop making the payments because she wants to keep her car for as long as she can.. So they may not be able to locate it for repossession. But I'm scared because can't she be charged with theft? What if like a year goes by and they still haven't repo'd the car? I'm afraid she'll be charged with car theft or something.. She thinks she's slick but I can't talk her out of it! She seems to think that at some point they'll just write it off and maybe even get a judgement against her which will RUIN her credit but she doesn't seem to care! I'm just concerned about any legal action..

Let me know how this works!

What would happen if you jumped out of a car that was going 70mph?

You would have the most awesome orgasm ever experienced by mankind. Try it. Moron.

What would happen to my car if I suddenly take the car key out while driving?

I am sure that you got already the right answer. For cars with ignition key. Modern age cars (like last 30+years) will not allow this while driving. However, it is possible to remove the key due to some defect. If you do this without turning off the engine you risk locking the steering wheel. Thus no direction. So an accident waiting to happen. If you turn off the engine, you will lock the steering wheel. Also your brakes will become almost useless. Trust me, been there. ABS and ESP/VSC pumps are active only with the engine running. If you turn off the engine you will find that the brake pedal is behaving strange and inefficient. Basically it should still do the job and you should be prepared to press it repeatedly in case of emergency to build up pressure on the brakes. On cars without an ignition key, a very similar situation. I saw a video on youtube with a Ford suv with start/stop button. That guy did the test. Basically there were two scenarios. I cant find the link, but youtube is full of video like that.Speed under 20 mph. The engine would turn off if you keep pressed the button. I cant assume what happens to the steering wheel. Probably fine, but dont take my word.Speed over 20 mph. The button will not work, no matter how long you keep it pressed. So you are fine. However, I would stress that you should be aware of odd situations in traffic. Things that will happen maybe once in a lifetime. Like brake failure or engine failure. Be prepared mentally to act fast. Know the drill. It happened to me several times.Engine stopped while entering a roundabout. No steering and no effective brakes. Almost ran into someone. But I cold started the engine while the car still had momentum and it was in gear. It was to the limit, but it worked. You need a manual transmission for this. Newer cars have a system in place that automatically re-start the engine. (still an optional extra on most cars).

What would happen if your car was towed and you retrieved it from the tow lot (using your own key) without paying the tow fee?

A good friend of mine did this at Georgia Tech. He'd acquired several unpaid parking tickets, and one Friday morning he discovered that his car had been towed. Not wanting to pay several hundred dollars, he staked out the impound lot from a nearby hill and waited. After a short time he saw a parking attendant walk over to the impound lot with another student (who had no doubt paid the fees necessary to retrieve her car for the weekend), so he headed down. The lot looked something like this one:It was small, held about fifteen cars, and had doors that opened on hinges.Once the attendant opened the gate to let the girl get her car, my friend walked in as well. The attendant said "Can I help you?" and my friend replied "No thanks!" Then he walked over to his car, got in, and started the engine. At this point the attendant figured out what was going on and closed the gates. He didn't lock them, though, and this obviously wasn't a permanent solution anyway since the attendant and this girl were also in the impound with him. So my friend put the car in neutral and started rolling towards the gate. When he got close, he let the car just push the gates open and he drove away. Although I had sat with my friend while he staked out the lot, I was pretty nervous about this whole plan and had decided to leave as he approached the attendant. I was sure the whole thing would fail. So when he drove up that evening in his car with no negative repercussions, I was stunned. So we waited to hear something from parking enforcement or the GT police, but days and then weeks went by with no ill effects. Amazingly, it looked like he would get away with it. In the end it took them about a month. One day he got a call from the GT cops asking about his car being towed, to which he replied "What? No, I have it right here." But they persevered and he eventually went into the police department and had to pay all the tickets. It's a good story, though!Note: Based on the other answers here, it sounds like my friend's consequence-free experience is pretty atypical and that people can go to jail or get sued for this. So I don't recommend trying this at home!

What could happen if I don't fix the Oxygen Sensor for my car??

The Oxygen Sensor is a gadget that constantly measures the oxygen level in the exaust gases as a way to determine how rich or lean the air/fuel mixture is. The sensor's data is sent to the onboard computer which then makes a calculation and adjusts the mixture accordingly if nessesary. Clearly then, if the oxygen
sensor is faulty, it will send bad data (or none at all) to the
on-board computer. This will adversely affect the resulting
air/fuel mixture. For example, the air/fuel mixture could end
up being too rich (too much gas, not enough air), therefore
causing poor gas mileage. So if you don't fix the problem, your car will run, but could have poor fuel mileage. With today's fuel prices, it could save you money in the long run.

But I got to add this..... there are some really odd answers to your question that tells me some people should not answer a question they don't know the answer to. I would never take my car to a shop that welds the pipe shut!
A potenial life or death situation???? Only for your wallet!!

What would happen if you put diesel gas in a car that takes regular gas?

I’m going to tell an embarrassing story as an answer. The technical aspects are already covered by other answers so I’ll address a different issue. So I pull up to the gas station that has both regular and diesel fuel. I’ve fueled my car at places like this more times than I could remember. At this point I have been driving and filling my gas tank for 20 years after all.For some reason I got confused this time. I looked at the pumps and there were two nozzles, one green and one black. One was for diesel and one was for regular. It looked like this.At first glance it seems obvious. The green one is for regular and the black one is for diesel. After all the black one is right below where it says diesel and the green one is right below regular. But I paused and instead looked around and it felt like normally the pumps were black. So in that case the green one should be diesel. So I took the cap off, grabbed the black handle and tried to put it in the gas tank. It didn’t fit. I was thoroughly confused by this and kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I was so focused on this that I didn’t even think of the obvious answer that it was the wrong one. I didn’t know that diesel and regular fuel had different sized nozzles.Eventually my confusion reached a peak and I decided I’d swallow my pride and go inside and ask. So I told the cashier how it wouldn’t fit into my gas tank. I asked if I was somehow doing something wrong. He couldn’t figure it out either. Neither of us knew what was going on. So I just went back to my car, figuring I’d just go to another gas station.I hate giving up though. It’s almost physically painful for me. So I decided to start from scratch. Pretend that I just pulled up and didn’t pull my hair out earlier. So I grabbed the green handle and proceeded to pump my gas normally. I couldn’t believe that the whole problem was just that the diesel pump wouldn’t fit, but I was certainly grateful that it didn’t fit since that’s very bad for non-diesel vehicles.
