Does anyone have any really good halloween costume ideas?

You and your friends could be crayons! You wear a specific color and wear like that color on a party hat. Then you cut out a long piece of cardboard decorate like the crayon box and then you and your friends hold it up. Happy Halloween!

Have any good halloween costume ideas?

here's some ideas: bo-peep a fairy a marionette doll (with the red circle cheeks, curled hair, a flouncy dress, vivid eyelashes and strings attached of course) a facebook/myspace page (use cardboard) someone from a certain time period 50s,60s,70s,80s(very fun!) or from medieval/rennaissance commonly known fictional charachter or a fairytale character-Rapunzel, etc. This one is pretty cheesy but one of you could string small ceral boxes on a piece of rope then stick forks thru the boxes and wear it around your neck (hence THE CEREAL Killer)get it?? Yeah that one might be to "gay" for you (since 13yr olds who do matching costumes are) but its just a suggestion.

What are some good ideas for a high school Halloween dance?

In Strangers with Candy: Reverse trick-or-treating in Silicon Valley, I wrote about a fun tradition I invented last Halloween. One of my favorite parts of the experience was the animatronics I saw in my neighborhood:One of the coolest things was that there was a mentor in the neighborhood who’d helped a bunch of the kids make their own. If I were organizing a high school Halloween dance, I’d incorporate some kind of animatronics contest or display. And obviously, guests should enter the party through some kind of graveyard or haunted house. And maybe offer Thriller lessons prior to the dance? It worked in 13 Going on 30…

Make sure you have a variety of good music and food. As for having house decorations, make it into a mini halloween house. Peel a few grapes, cook some spaghetti and put together in a bowl, make sure though that you have dark lighting and they cannot see what they are. Get black trash bags and fill with newspapers or old clothes, make eight legs then attach to body and make it look like a big spider, get some spider web goop and put in a corner of your living room or in the room where most of the guests will be and place spider on net and also get some small black spiders from party city and just throw them into the net and they will stick. Make some headstones out of cardboard, paint them black or white add some words and place in front lawn. Make sure that you have the dark bulbs so the house looks kinda creepy. Good Luck. Have a best costume contest tell your guests in the invite that there is a contest and it will be $1 dollar to participate and the proceeds go to the winner.

What costume should I wear for Halloween?

Thank you for the A2ACostume request details: Appropriate for a 12–14 year old girl. Not the usual costumes (e.g.: witch, ghost, etc.). Can be DIY.After mulling this question over a bit, I decided to provide you with some brainstorming suggestions. What is a good last-minute Halloween costume that can be constructed from commonly available items?

All black clothes plus white-and-black makeup = a mime. Use an interesting hat and/or white gloves if you've got them. It's not anything in particular (goth or vampire maybe) but you can look pretty creepy with those same all black clothes plus black lipstick, heavy eyeliner, perhaps a bit of red lipstick around the eyes, and a foundation color a couple shades too light. No blush. To make it a proper vampire, add a cape.Any combination of rain suit, safety gear, tools, construction gear, etc. can pass for a construction worker.Pajamas, bathrobe, slippers, coffee cup, newspaper. Towel turban in the hair and mud mask if you want it to look even more outlandish.A (mad) scientist should be pretty easy to do. Dress shirt, perhaps, bow tie, slovenly hair, clipboard, safety glasses, etc.If you participate in any sports, ride a bike, etc., use your usual gear as a costume.Dig around in your wardrobe for the loudest, brightest colors, anything that doesn't match. Combine with some face paint and (as available) wig, silly hat, or what-have-you for a clown suit.Hippies are pretty easy. If you have a tie-dye shirt, wear it and let your hair down. Add a headband, suitable sunglasses, etc.Recruit a friend or two, clip a rope to your shoulders with clothespins, and go as a clothesline. Stick a few socks and undies on the cord in between.Use a large enough cardboard box and any gift wrap (seasonal or not) to go as a wrapped gift.Or wear all black and safety-pin a bunch of assorted socks to yourself and go as the odd sock monster, that annoying creature that "eats" one sock out of every pair that goes into the dryer.

What costume are you going to wear for Halloween?

I used to go all-out and make my own costume from a sewing pattern, maybe add a little beadwork, maybe some high-quality fake fur (handsewn without a pattern), definitely some good satin involved, the wool cloak that time; the brown Jedi cloak the other time…studying my model to create the perfect portrayal… there was the year of 90s cartoon Harley Quinn, the year of the full body covering werewolf suit… to name a couple of the greats. But I don’t have many local friends. After being promised, absolutely promised, that my then-bestie and I would do something the following year if I dressed up, and wore the blue wig with the cat ears, I diligently came up with a VERY nice costume. It was good. Only to call up my friend, who I’d just seen the week, perhaps even days, before - and she definitely knew I was working on a costume! - and have her say “Oh, I’m across the country at a wedding; Remember, I said the week of November 1st?” It Was Not. November. November 1st didn’t even start the week. But she had a habit of doing that: refusing to be clear, utterly flaking, making it your fault for failing to pin her down on her incredibly squirrelly attempts to ‘give you notice’ something long-planned was going to be canceled, without Actually telling you, because then you might be mad? Yeah. All this is to tell you that I used to ADORE dressing up. Any excuse to wear a well-made costume! Any excuse to MAKE a detailed well-made costume. I have a pantry-closet filled with 3 walls of former costumes. Yeah. I’m That into it.But like I said: none of my good friends live locally. So! Unable to entirely give up dressing up, but also realizing going all-out for the benefit of 8 trick-or-treaters was exceptionally depressing, I last year bought a Think Geek Starfleet Uniform, TNG, Command Red Hoodie. I bought gold-colored pips and a very good communicator, rumored to be made from the same molds used on the series! With black pants, and a forgivingly casual measurement, this easy costume should last me the next decade! So that’s what I’ll be wearing. I’m going to be a Starfleet Commander. (I have the pips to be Captain, but why be greedy?)

Halloween party tonight and i have nothing to wear please help?

you can dress in all black & go as an emo/goth ?
just add red cuts to your arms with makeup
and over do your eyes with eyeliner, lips with black lipstick

you can cut a hole in the middle of a white sheet & add 2 more for arms, go as a ghost ?

dress as a nerd ?
just wear a plain collar shirt with black pants or shorts pulled up.
tuck your shirt in, wear your dads tie & borrow someones glasses 8)

all i can think of as i dont know what sorta clothes you own, these are simple costumes, and can be done how you like (:

Is it ok to not wear a costume to a Halloween party?

The way you wrote your question, I hate to say it, but it comes across as a bit pretentious- deriding Halloween parties for being overdone? Costumes are an accepted part of the holiday, as much as trees are with Christmas or eggs with Easter. As others have pointed out, there are costumes you can put together with things around your house. You don't have to buy an expensive costume or build a masterwork worthy of walking the stage at dragoncon. Even something simple will do. If you don't want to make an effort at all or are opposed to costumes because you think they're cliche or overdone, then I'd suggest skipping the party. If you're attwnd any themed party, then at least make an effort at the theme.
