Is double majoring rational? (Interior Design and Business)?

I am working on getting a double major, but mine are more intertwined than yours are. I am double majoring in digital media and graphic design, but I still think that you can do your double major as long as you are up for the work!

Major in Business, Minor in Interior Design?

This totally makes sense! Yes, it is possible to minor in Interior Design. You will need to research which colleges offer the minor, since some colleges only offer the minor or only offer the major, or have them both. And not every college offers interior design. So make sure that it does before you apply!

The difference between minoring and majoring is the amount of classes you will take. If you minor you will be taking the most basic courses in interior design and you will go into more depth and detail in the major. Personally, I would major in Interior Design and minor in business because if you want to run an interior design company, you will need all the knowledge possible about interior design to establish credibility. If you are worried about not getting educated in the business skills you need, consider a double major! You will spend equal time in interior design and business and receive a degree in both. Or, major in one and then get a masters in the other. There are plenty of options. However, please consider putting interior design first because only minoring in it will not get you the education you will need in it.
