What do people think of other people who dress up or dress fashionably?

When I see a person who is dressed fashionably, or put together; I take mental notes on how stylish they are. I get inspired and wonder how I can translate that look and/or confidence to my or my husbands style of dress. I don't think it makes me think they are smart, just "put together well." I have found when you have nice clothes (from any store/brand), look neat in appearance (ironed and tailored to your body type, nice teeth, well groomed hair), make-up for women, and smell good (my #1 priority), you will exude confidence; and in turn it will draw people to you. Looking good and smelling good helps! The key is to know what environment you are in, and dressing for that environment. If you work in a khakis and argyle sweater environment, do not be the one person showing up in a suit, and definitely do not wear jeans that are ragged (dark jeans paired with a sport coat works). People will think you are trying too hard or not trying at all. I would recommend you spend time browsing around a high end store (Nordstrom, Niemans, Bloomingdales) and casually observe what the clientele as well as the people who work there are wearing. You don't have to buy anything, just look around and observe. I can use my husband as an example. He is a division manager at his company and will never walk out of the house without a suit and tie. Why? On a daily basis he works directly with presidents, CEOs, and other senior level executives internally and externally. Because he is working towards getting the C-suite job in the near future, he has to dress the part of a president and/or CEO based on his business environment. They are all suit and tie guys with access to a broad network of other suit and ties. The only time he will dress down in their presence is if they are having lunch at a country club. Which leads to another point...dressing the part can often times create access to an upper echelon of society; which leads to more networking for you, more career mobility, and a diverse group of people to socialize with. One term that has always been used by hiring managers/HR is "great fit." You want to be that person that is a "great fit" when going after your dream job.

What do you think of girls who dress very openly?

I appreciate them for coming out into the world wearing those clothes and ignoring all those who call them a whore for wearing them. But I guess what really demands my respect is the purpose you wear such revealing clothes. Because according to my observation, most girls(they are not mature enough to be called women) wear revealing clothes not for comfort but for pleasing the onlookers and making sure the boys(again not mature enough to be called men) turn their heads when they walk by. And please don't say it's your right to wear whatever you feel comfortable in and then demanding my coat because you feel cold. And though I have nothing against girls who dress openly and I am surely against all those who objectify them, I would just want every girl out there to know- Classy bests sexually appeasing all the time. And according to me, if we talk about any man (leaving aside the young boys who think through their genitals), if you put a classy woman and a girl wearing revealing clothes side by side, the classy woman wins everytime. And just for reference, this is classy-And this is just too damn revealing-Source: Google ImagesNote- Please don't consider this answer as against girls who dress openly, this is just my opinion about dressing appropriately versus dressing openly.

What do you think of people who dress very weirdly?

I think it depends on the person... Younger people do it a lot of rebel against their parents, try new things and try to find themselves. They also are pressured into dressing the way that their friends do.

As you get older, I think people to it to hide themselves. If people are making fun of their clothes, people aren't making fun of them, so the dress in a way that people won't notice the person wearing the clothes. Some just don't know how to dress themselves and some just want to be different.

There are also the people that don't have self respect and don't respect the people in their lives. Part of your presentation to the world reflects on your parents, you job, your spouse and your kids. They just don't care how they look and wear what ever they have w/o thinking about what messages they are sending out into the world.

It really depends on the person.

What do you think of wedding dresses in color?

I have seen 1st-time brides use color in their dress.

Second marriages use to be done quitely & without much a-do. But not anymore! You have lost love and found it again. I think that calls for a celebration!
Do the wedding however you want, in whatever color you want.
It is advised that a 2nd-time bride not wear a veil. I don't necessarily go along with this, but I do think the veil covering the face should be reserved for the 1st-time bride. But that's just my opinion.

With you sewing your dress, you have sooooo many options. Have you chosen a design/pattern yet? (email me!) I made my first wedding dress, but then, there were only about 3 wedding dress patterns then. :)

Good luck with your planning & Congratulations!

What do you think about saying "Dress for success"?

“Stop dressing like crap”, the most annoying professor in the college told our entire class. Of course, by this, he meant to wear a blazer, trousers, and shirt for the class, as during my management studies we were actually assessed on appearance too.I remember my professor telling the class to look back at how businessmen dress to impress. How they suit up!What does dressing for success entails? Are the days of suits and ties still existing? Does it really matter if you are dressed in a casual dress code for office or in a suit?Makes the first impressionWhat you wear says a lot about your personality. Give yourself time to find what is right for you, be sure that it not too tight, too loose, too short, too casual or too dressy.Promotes self-esteem and confidenceGiving a definite time and effort to your dressing part, you will radiate an image of self-respect and self-esteem. Being confident is a positive mental attitude and it will make you respect yourself.Brings in the right attentionThe way you dress plays a role in your success and to send the right message to the right crowd. In the end, I’d conclude by saying that dressing up is not just a thing of outer self, it is eventually related to our inner self. Get up dress up so that you have the chance to feel like “I really look awesome today” and have a crush on yourself. That’s the feeling of power and self-esteem boost. So, how do you dress for success?Source : https://medium.com/@kashyapvarti...

What do you think of the dress my boyfriend bought as a presente for my b-day?

I think it looks sorta cute, but it would depend on the person who's wearing it. Some people can pull off floral, some can't. Also, it would depend on your body shape. If you have like an hourglass shape, I feel it would look sorta weird. But if you have a delicate body shape with subtle curves, it would look really nice.
With a white choker and some white wedges (maybe even like a short tan leather jacket), it would look really cute.
