What is the best subject to teach in High School?

in my opinion Science is an interactive subject where children can think and explore themselves. Geography is a good option too. whatever you teach it is upto you to make the subjsect as interesting as you want. Good luck!

What is the best subject to teach in high school?

Any subject as long as you're passionate about what you are teaching, :)

What is the hardest high school subject to teach and why?

Mathematics is difficult in high school in South Australia because students come to high school not understanding how numbers work. They don't understand that 7x5 must be greater than 6x5.So you really have to go back to basics with the added burden of them having left primary school “hating maths.”Students will tell me “I don't need to know my tables because I have a calculator”.Then they hand in work with weird answers and tell you “but that a what the calculator said!”So they are now more lost.I am sure other teachers have stories about their subjects and I feel for them too!

What subject is good to teach to high school students?

Please don't take be offended, but if you do indeed plan to teach High school kids English, you may want to work on yours a teeny bit (More about elegance than mere function though!).I still remember some of my teachers who had horrible grammar, and they were a bad influence on my classmates. And of course, I've had some great teachers, especially some language teachers, that I wouldn't ever forget. They had this love for the subject they taught, and you could see it!Some of them have been very strict, and sometimes harsh with their punishments, but the kind of effort they put into making every hour of class interesting, was what has made me admire them to this very day.Hope you make a great teacher too! (:

What is the hardest High School subject to teach?

I'm a math teacher, yet I feel the toughest high school classroom is not a subject: it's a classroom for severely behaviorally disordered students. The challenges to teach these students are enormous. Most teachers will not survive three years in this type of environment; the burnout rate is alarming. It's a tough teaching situation which takes the patience of a saint and the determination of lion.

What is the best topic/subject to teach for senior high school?

Depends on the individual. Most topic/subject material it the best for someone. I infer you want to know what topic/subject is best for you to teach. Probably the first consideration should be among topics/subjects that you understand thoroughly. From among those, you may also want to prefer topics/subjects that you enjoy, pay well, are well-established and durable, etc.

What is the hardest school subject to teach?

Math. Here’s why.Where all other courses (English, History, Science, Foreign Language, Career Technical Education, Art, Music, etc.) are pretty much stand alone courses, and do not require much if any pre-requisite training, Math is structured in such a way that if you don’t thoroughly understand “A” then “B” will be twice as difficult, “C” will be exponentially more troubling, and “D” will be impossible.I know that the teachers of the aforementioned courses are going to be all pissed off because of what I said, but it’s true, and they know it.Math is like a ladder. If your ladder is missing the first rung, reaching the second rung is going to be tough to do. If you are missing the first AND second rungs, rung three is out of reach. Most subjects have a fail safe repetition of learning. You take World History one year, and the next US History, and it alternates throughout your years in school. English teachers pound the same drum year after year.Math teachers don’t do that. Early on, if you have a shitty teacher, are sick (and miss a bunch of fundamental instruction), or are too chicken to raise your hand and scream, “I DON’T GET IT!!” you’re screwed. You’re not going to recover. If you don’t know how to multiply and divide whole numbers, you will NEVER understand how to deal with fractions. If you get lost during decimals, Algebra will be impossible. Why? Because they are all essential. Period.Believe it or not, I don’t know my multiplication tables. Should have learned them in the 2nd or 3rd grade. Maybe my teacher was shitty, or maybe they just didn’t check for understanding and I got away with not learning them. From that day, until I received my Doctorate Degree, I’ve struggled mightily with all levels of Math. God only knows how I got through Statistics and Calculus.Math is different than the others.Thank you Ralph Steadman for the visual. If you have kids in your class that are missing rungs on their ladders, you are in for one hell of a hard time trying to get them to understand and/or learn anything. Maybe impossible task is a better way to express it.

What are the best high school subjects to teach nowadays?

The best subject to teach in high school is the one you love. There will always be people interested in a subject, and your passion for it will make it interesting to your students. My son teaches physics, and he loves it. He investigates new teaching methods, talks to other physics and STEM teachers. My daughter-in -law teaches chemistry, and she is passionate about helping students reveal the secrets of the make up of the universe. My late husband taught high-school sciences in both monolingual and bilingual classes. I would not be able to have taught any of those, because I don’t know the subjects, but I was a dynamic and informed English and drama teacher. My students published every semester, and we put on musicals every year. I am still in touch with many of them. I have known teachers of virtually every subject, and there is always a student who wants a spark ignited.Teach what you love. That is best.

What is the easiest subject in which to become a high school teacher?

If you are looking for an “easy” subject, this is the wrong field for you. As an Art Teacher at a high school, there are days when my subject is the absolute BEST to teach, and then there are days when I wish I wasn't in the field of education. Teaching needs to be your desire, and the subject you teach should be something you are both PASSIONATE and knowledgable about. If you can’t imagine yourself talking for 8 hours a day about Art/English/Math/ etc… then you don’t want to teach it. I have Art I, for example, and there are days when I have to try and get kids interested in Art who are only there for the credit so they can graduate. I still try to reach them and spread the importance of art and how to connect skills we learn and make them applicable to their daily lives or interests.Teaching can be very rewarding, can be VERY stressful, but at the end of the day… there is no “easy” subject or “easy” job in this field.Hope that helps!

What subjects should schools teach? Are the subjects currently taught the best use of our children's time?

I very much disagree with you. You've basically stated that the only western medicine and a western theory of the body and western business and finance should be mastered. For one, yes human anatomy is useful, but not in day to day life unless you decide to work in the hands on healthcare world or in health and fitness like pilates teachers or personal trainers. But really how many people really need to have an extensive knowledge of the human body? That's very unrealistic and not applicable for most. Also western medicine and health is very restricted to the rules it abides by and is very dualistic. I personally don't want the next generation being taught everything a medical doctor is taught about physiology and health.Secondly, why business? Why throw out art, geography, history and science all for business. How many people end up owning their own business? If I went through the public education system and learned about business and anatomy, I would have failed out or just dropped out. What you have suggested is a very narrow window of knowledge that many people don't need to use on a day to day basis. It lacks an emphasis on critical thinking and problem solving skills which are in my opinion the most important skills that can be taught to youth. And it can be taught it almost any subject. And those are skills that will get you through life and help you reach any goal.
