When Is President Obama Going To Do Something About All This Hate People Are Feeling Toward Each

Should we punish people for something done by their ancestors?

Right now there's a lot of talk around here about the government making a formal apology for slavery. There also seems to be some mindset that reparations need to be made for slavery (I'm not sure who to honestly, since no former slaves are alive anymore).

I'm not sure exactly what the mindset for this line of thought is, since anyone connected to slavery in the US has been dead for decades, but the debate continues.

On a similar note, I've noticed that any time men start to complain about how something in society is now biased against them (i.e. family court), there will often be people who will tell them, "So what? Men had it good forever. Now you can see what women put up with."

I think like the slavery reparations, people are forgetting one crucial detail. Men today, for the most part, had absolutely nothing to do with what happened in the past. I'm 23 years old and have yet to make a law that oppresses women, but still I hear how I'm somehow responsible for women having fewer rights in the past (not from everybody, but from a substantial number of people).

Let's suppose that you and I find out that one of your ancestors murdered one of mine 200 years ago. Should I be able to punish you for what they did?

Do black people realize that blanket statements about "white people" is in fact racism?

Case in point, right below from Tim:

"Every race is not racist. Only White people."

Keep in mind, mine is a question, not a statement. What I'm pointing out is that often people only call it "racism" if it's white people discriminating against blacks.

Racism and discrimination happens all over the world.

Caucasions & African Amerians
Inter-tribal racism
Latinos vs Indians
Blacks vs Darker Blacks
African Americans vs Africans
English vs Scottish
Muslims & Christians
Arabs and Buddhists

We could make a very long list. BTW, I realize that not all of the above are "races".

Do you actually hate people with different political opinions, or do you just disagree?

hate is an emotion I save for people I actually know .. and dislike strongly everything about them...

I certainly DO NOT hate those who have different views from me politically.. In fact quite often I will open dialogue with them .. because I feel there are things we can all learn from each other..

hating people who disagree with you is pathetic.

Why do liberals hate white people?

I don't know. It is one of the amazing things about liberals. They are so tolerant, loving and caring. They embrace all races and religions. They want to ban capital punishment because it is cruel.
So why do they want unborn babies killed, Christians silenced, and white people scorned? Why is it okay to discriminate against whites, especially white men? Why is the hand that feeds them thought of as evil?

It's an amazing phenomena that will end our civilization.

Why do some people hate horses?

I'm really sorry about your loss. Most people are afraid of horses more than anything. I had a cousin who was riding and the horse kicked her off and she suffered severe broken bones in the face, but it was an accident, and that's what people don't realize. I think that it's horrible that innocent horses are taken to slaughter houses. I think that they are adorable animals. My 6 year old cousin rides horses twice a week, and takes lessons. If you have proper training, and have a professional with you, accidents usually don't happen. I wish people were more affectionate towards horses. I think they are awesome. And once again, I'm sorry for your loss.
