When Should I Go School Supplies Shopping

Do you like to go school supplies shopping?

I'm going to be a 12th grader... however, i am DYING to school supplies shop!! I love it! I love getting new supplies, the smell, the look, the excitement, the frenzied moms everything about it is fun!I used to get the mead notebook binders but they keep breaking so i think i'm going to get regular 1 inch binders that are in pastel colors. And i love those little notebooks with animals on them. WOOHOO ... now back to looking for school supplies deals for this week. >:)

When should i go school supply shopping?

I would get the uniforms as soon as they are available.

For school supplies, my teachers usually give me a list of what they want during the first week of school, but I am sure many high school send out a list before school starts, so get the supplies as soon as you can- the beginning of August will have the most sales and school supplies will be in most stores.

A list of general school supplies:

One binder per class. 1 inch is usually the standard requirement, but 1 and a half inch is also common.

1 notebook per class. I usually buy 4 more than the number of classes I have(For example, if I have 8 classes, I get 12 notebooks), just in case I fill up a notebook.

Pens(blue, black, red)

Pencils(I prefer 0.5 mechanical pencils.) Papermate is my favorite company.

Extra lead and erasers for mechanical pencils and

If you need a new backpack, get one too.

Tab Dividers are EXTREMELY useful to stay organized.

A pencil case, if you don't already have one.

If your school usually wants you to get Expo markers, then get Expo markers, as well.

A lot of time, I like to write my notes in color, so I get Pilot G2 pens. They come in a variety of colors.

Hope this helped!Good Luck!

When is the best time to go school supply shopping?

Go after.
If you go before, you might end up getting unnecessary things.
What I do is:
Mylittle brother's school gives them a supply list before hand, so when we go shopping for him before school, I get a one inch binder, 1 pack of notebook paper, dividers, pens and pencils. I se up the bider to divide each of my classes, then put paper inbetween. I put the pens and pencils on my bookbag pocket. On the first day i'll be able to write down quick notes for each class because of how i set up my binder. Then after school i go to walgreens and pick up what i dont have.
simple, time and money saving!

When should you start back to school shopping?

My school starts somewhere around the second to last or last week of August. I know what to get, just I don't know when to start looking for supplies

When should I start looking for a few new clothes, too? From experience i know that my size sells really fast sooo.............

Back to school clothes shopping?

I would say any time in August is good to hit back to school sales. Same with supplies. BUT if you have tax free weekend in your state and it hasn't passed (it was last weekend here in North Carolina) I recommend going then. When thifting I always make sure to look for cardigans, blazers, sweaters, scarfs, and jeans. Some times I look for button ups, but I get tired of looking through the rows and rows of shirts hehe :P For stores I recommend TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Old Navy/Gap, Target, H&M if you have one near you, Ross, and Forever21. For online shopping (which is how I get most of my stuff. Its usually easier to find a promo code for online than it is for an in store coupon.) I recommend Boohoo.com (I frickin' LOVE this site), us.asos.com (They have the best tight designs ever. To die for), agacistore.com, tobi.com, Amazon.com, Ebay.com (Seriously. If you are careful and buy from trusted sellers you can get really good deals. I got a pair of tall black uggs for $140) urbanog.com, and GoJane.com I find that the last two are the best for shoes. For makeup I really recommend Sleek palettes. They are a drugstore makeup in the UK, but they ship to the US and are really nice quality. Comparable to high end palettes. You didn't say what grade you are going into so I will assume you are in high school. GET A GOOD BACKPACK. This is a must. I recommend a LL. Bean or The Northface Jester. I would say just get basics as far as supplies go. 1 or 2 five subject notebooks, a couple 1 inch binders, college ruled loose left paper, a composition book, wooden pencils, mechanical pencils, a planner, pens, and a pencil pouch. Save the rest of the supply buying for after your first day when your teachers give you their syllabus'. For staple items, it depends on your style. I have a really pretty metal gold lace collar necklace that is a great statement piece. Its very classy and dressy. Motorcycle pants, disco pants, and wet look pants can all also be great staple items. I recommend getting at least one pair of nice boots, a lace dress (this is practically a must. They are super in right now.),a blazer, a peplum shirt or dress (really coming into fashion right now), a chiffon top, and a nice bold necklace as staple pieces. Tights and thigh high can also be great staple pieces. They are a must have in my wardrobe. I can't really say how you can stretch your money except shop around and compare prices before you commit to one thing. I hope this help you :P

High school supplies?

I'm a senior, and that's pretty much all you need every year. Though, highlighters, sharpie, colored pencils, scissors, and a small stapler make things sooo much more easier. Glue sticks as well. You'd think you wouldn't need this stuff in HS but you actually do quite a few projects That need this stuff. Teachers usually provide it, but sometimes get a little pissy if you don't have it! Also composition notebooks, I'd recommend a few of these, teachers love these and usually at least two of my classes has them as a requirement. Some teachers also require separate binders just for their class, but that's rare. As long as you have pencils, pens(which aren't really necessary I've never used them for a class unless I forgot a pencil), paper, binders, and dividers(which aren't really required either they just make stuff simpler) then you're good to go, unless you want to get the extras, I always do, colored pencils definitely. Good luck! Hope you don't hate highschool as much as I do.

When do you start buying back to school supplies and clothes?

I have my 9 yr old daughter's list for back to school items in my pocketbook at all times now so when i go to the store and i think about it, i will get some items and cross them off as i go and get more the next time so i do not feel overwhelmed and i agree with you...i hate that the back to school items are in stores early, i use to hate that when i was a kid and i always reassure my daughter they do that so the parents do not feel overwhelmed and not cause school is around the cornor. As for back to school outfits, i buy new shoes before she goes back to school which will be a new pair of helley sneickers and some new sandals since we are in florida and i will buy an outfit or two just so she will have some new clothes for school but i buy them all summer long so that's why i do only about 2 outfits so my daughter will feel these are her clothes for back to school...like a present...lol....and when it gets cooler here, that is when i need to buy more outfits.

Anyone else hate school, but like school supplies shoppin'?

I agree with you! (: I love picking out all of these cute little erasers, and notebooks! Although by the end of the year they are destroyed!

Class of 2017! Yeahhh still pretty young (:

When does target start to have school supplies?

I CANNOT wait for back to school! :) Except for the school part..... but there are parts during school that I like :) LOL, ok, so lets get to the point! I want to start school supply shopping soon, but I was wondering when does target start to have back to school sales? Because I don't want to go there and find out that they dont have school supply sales yet since my parents work 7 days a week. So I have to know when the school supply sale start so my parents can take some time off work to go school supply shopping with me!
