Why did they ban The Undertaker's "Hell's gate" chokehold?
At Backlash 2008 when Taker once again defeated Edge using that manouver, Vickie Guerrero banned the move for being too dangerous and stripped Taker of the championship. Tho it was obvious Vickie was playing favourite to her husband Edge. The ban was the 1st stipulation of 2, following Taker's & Edge's TLC match at One Night Stand which Edge won to win the vacant championship, Taker had to leave WWE. When Taker returned it meant the ban of Hell's gate was also lifted and on the September 25th edition of SD! Long officially reinstated the hold as being legal once again. In short, the move was banned to give Vickie heat and to push the Taker/Edge rivalry.

There are various components of being a pro-wrestler. Now since both of these guys are pro-wrestlers, I am assuming you meant it as such. Because amateur wrestling is a lot different.First, Gimmick-wise, The Undertaker is probably the greatest in the history of the industry. Absolutely no one comes close to him in this part. Cena's gimmick is probably the most stale gimmick anyone still uses. Not the worst but far from good.In ring skills, contrary to the general notion that the bigger, taller guys are clumsy and poor wrestlers, the Undertaker was actually very very solid. For a guy his size, he exhibited great agility and finesse. And tombstoning Mark Henry requires strength that only few people would have. While I won't say Cena sucks in the ring. Which is untrue. He has improved a lot and worked really hard. But if you really compare Cena’s work, you will see that he has always been a little clumsy in the ring. Undertaker takes this again.Longevity, does anyone have any doubts here? 1984 is when the Undertaker started his wrestling career. Even to this day, he is not only relevant, he is the biggest draw. Also, admirable is his dedication to the company.Championships, now most people regard this as the most important aspect. But let me tell you, Shawn Michaels, won only 4 world championships. And he was the face of WWE for a while. Also, he is one of the greatest performers in the history of the company. Undertaker is a 7 time champion despite never being the face of the company. That is, because his gimmick was not something that was presentable as one. Cena has more championships because he has been pushed that way. Being the face of the company for one and a half decades give you more championships.Legacy, both of them will undoubtedly leave great legacies. But no one even comes close to what the Undertaker is leaving behind. He has 21 consecutive Wrestlemania victories, the guy that comes second has 3. That's Austin by the way. Another legend. The legendary gong sound that we hear when the Undertaker’s theme starts is known by almost everyone.In short, there is no one greater in the business. Cena is great.
