Sonic uniform pants- yoga pants maybe?

I work at sonic and wear black Dickies pants. Don't wear the yoga pants, it would look worse than the skinnies.

Sonic prefers you to buy the kind with the unnoticable pockets in the back with no pockets in the front. Heres what they look like: http://www.dickiesgirl.com/Low_Rider_Work_Pant/pd/c/210/np/210/p/10011.html

However, my managers dont care if they have pockets as long as they're black dickies. I'm tiny as well and i've noticed that these (with the pockets) fit a lot better in the leg and butt and look a lot better than the others:

I own both kinds, but definitely prefer the ones in the second picture!

If you live anywhere around a Stage, Bealls, or even a Sears they keep them. Be careful to not get navy blue because they look very close! Walmart used to keep them but I dont think they do anymore. Well, around here they dont.

They run $40 a pair but they fade and shrink a bit so i'd buy 2 so you dont have to go back anytime in the next few months. Good luck with the new job! Any questions about it just add me on Facebook!

Where can i get skinny khaki pants?! HELP!?

k so i need skinny khaki pants urgent since i need it for my school uniform! i went to sears and bought 2 black pairs of bongo skinny pants with these bling buttons and they looked fabulous on me and they were cheap! but they were fresh out of khaki (only 2 pairs left and they were huge) and they told me they would get a new shipment in a week so i went today (which was 9 days from that day) and still no khaki -_- i asked another worker and she said "they won't get a new shipment for them you'll just have to get them online because they don't ship them here... like ever" WTH! so i checked every single store in the mall and every store either didn't have them, didn't have my size, or they were all bootcut, or they didn't look quite right on me :/. i just checked sears online for the khakis and they have the pants i want but ONLY in black WTH i need khaki right now not black! i really don't know what to do at this point. do you think the burlington store will have them? my mom said "you'll find them when you're not looking for them" but last time this exact situation occured and i didn't see khakis anywhere i ended up having to buy black skinny jeans that when they washed they turned dark gray and every teacher kept nagging me because they were jeans but they don't understand uniform pants are rarely sold anywhere! i really don't want that to happen since in highschool they give you detention instead of nagging you...

What are the differences between curvy twill pants and uniform twill pants?

I’m not sure what you mena by “curvy” twill pants, unless you mean ones that are more stylish than uniforms are. They are just cut out from different patterns and the fabric for uniforms is usually thicker and stiffer. Twill for uniforms is more likely to be made from polyester for durability. Any twill can be made from polyester or cooton, or a combination of both. Denim Originally was a specially cotton twill dyed with the blue dye from the indigo plant. Now it comes in other fabric content and colors.

How to make baggy pants into skinny jeans without a sewing machine?

There is no way to do it without sewing, but you could try to do it by hand (it will take a looong time though).

First off, just don't go too skinny or it'll be too noticeable, and then they won't let you wear them anyways. :P

Grab a pair of your skinny jeans that you think fit nice (preferably ones that aren't skin tight) and the pair of pants you want to sew. Turn them both inside out and measure the skinny jeans at an area where you want to tighten the other pants (make sure you measure from the end of the fabric, not just to where the thread is). Once you have that measurement, use it on the loose pair and mark it down with something that will show up on the fabric (I've only ever done this on other jeans that were too loose, but they still had some shape to them in the thigh area.) It is easier to take in the outside seam, because then you won't have to deal with the crotch of the pants. Continue to take measurements of parts of the skinny jean and mark them down on the loose pants - you can add a bit of width on some parts if you feel they would be too skinny for school (like near the ankles).

Now for the sewing. Keep the pants inside out. You'll need A LOT of thread, so it'll be best to do it in increments, say of about five inches each. It will be annoying to pull the long thread through, and tedious. You'll want to use a method called the "back stitch", as this is the strongest type of hand stitch (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n04lLVqOEjA&feature=player_embedded ). You'll want to go over the area and do it once or twice (you can see that the original seam on your jeans is quite a bit of stitching), and since hand stitches are much more difficult to get as tight as a machine stitch, it's a good idea to reinforce your stitching by going over it a couple of times, especially in areas like the knees where the most stress occurs. When you've sewn an area enough, you need to finish it off by sewing the same stitch repetitively in one place to hold the thread. If you don't do this, then the thread will just pull out of the fabric as you move it around.

You should try practicing on some scrap fabric before you attempt it on your school pants, just to get the hang out it. If you need more help, feel free to message me and I'll maybe draw up some pictures for you. :)
