Where can I get Purple heart lumber near Chicago?
Hey folks! I'm making an end grain cutting board as a gift for someone next weekend and I have no idea where to get exotic pieces of lumber. I have been using poplar and maple for others I have made that I got at Home Depot but I want to go over the top with this one. Does anyone know of a lumber yard near Chicago that sells this stuff? Thanks!
How many Purple Hearts can a soldier receive?
You receive a purple heart medal for getting wounded in combat (Not things like cutting your hand on a rock. Things like getting shot, or stabbed.). There is no limit to any certain medals. If you do the action required of earning it you get it, even if its 100 times. The most purple hearts any individual soldier has earned is eight.Just to clarify what Matt Badon said in his answer. If you earn another medal that you have previously earned, you will usually just get a bronze oak leaf cluster on it, that represents another of the same kind of award. If you get 4 bronze leaves (That would mean earning 5 of thoughs medals) then when you earn another one you will take of the bronze devices and put on a silver one. A silver one represents 5. So if you have a medal with a silver oak leaf then that represents 6 of thoughs awards. If you wish, you can buy yourself another medal. Meaning you would have two of the medals and no leaves.This is two purple hearts. The Bronze oak leaf cluster represents the second award.This is 5 purple hearts. The 4 Bronze oak leaves show 4 more of thoughs awards.
