If you really like the anime then read the manga. They have not fully animated the Negima. It is a lot like the Tsubasa: Resivoir Chronicles, where only bits and peices have been made into an anime. There are 24 episodes in the first series, thats it. The second series has 26 episodes. There are some ovas and movies. None if it tells the complete story. The manga is nearly finished and I would go read the manga. Ken's manga that have been made into anime are not excelent adaptation of his series. What Anime is first. mahou sensei negima...?
You can really watch the different seasons of Negima is any order, since the 'second season' is not actually a second season. Instead, its a remake which forgoes following the manga (like the first series) for alot of harem comedy sequences which are original to the anime. If your wanting to watch them in the chronological order anyway (which is a good idea since its a good way to get to know the characters a bit better), then first you watch: -Negima! (This series is known as Mahou Sensei Negima in Japan, so the two you mentioned are the same show) -Followed by the 3 Negima Ala Alba OAD's -Followed by the 4 Negima!~Mou Hitotsu no Sekai~ OAD's -Followed the the 'second season' /remake, Negima!? There are also three prequel OVA's which were made in order to introduce the shows extensive female cast to the viewer, but these aren't really worth the bother and are rather difficult to find, so you would be best to ignore them.

Negima? - from a different studio. Is somewhat of a remake (some events in Negima! didn't happen in this one) & does a timeskip, to get ahead of the first series. The fan-service is toned down significantly, & the storyline tries to be more faithful to the manga.
